Humans live by the beating of their hearts and by the blood flowing in their veins. Aliens live by simply having a purpose in life. BoBoiBoy is a mixture of both. However, his elements are neither, as they live by the power flowing in their body.

"Solar, no!"

Thorn watched in muted horror as tendrils of gold light seeped from Solar and into Retak'ka. With every tendril of power entering the villain, Solar seemed to dim until his light completely disappeared.

The elemental villain smirked and tossed aside the body of the power-drained light elemental which fell to the floor behind him with a loud thud.

"You..." Thorn's voice was quivering and his eyes are misty. "How could you?"

Retak'ka only laughed. "Oh, is ickle Thorn angry? Would you like to be the next one? Or maybe..."

The villain picked up the body of an unconscious Quake. "Or maybe this one?" He smirked at Thorn as he prepared for the process of draining Quake's power. "After all, I miss my earth powers already."

Thorn couldn't take it. He can't let anyone else fall victim to Retak'ka. He produced a lasso of thorns and wrapped it against the villain, making him drop the limp body of Quake next to Solar's. The nature elemental lifted the body of Retak'ka upwards, the tightness of the vine making the elemental villain choke for air.

Thorn's voice was hard as he yanked the thorns towards himself. "No. No one will fall victim to you ever again." He tightened the vines around the villain's neck and willed for poison ivy to enter his body. Soon enough, Retak'ka was choking and gagging as Thorn watched in morbid fascination.

The other elementals was now stirring from unconsciousness, bar Quake who was still lying beside Solar. They were all watching in horror as Thorn brutally murders Retak'ka.

"Thorn, stop! This is not you!" Thunderstorm shouted, supressing his groan of pain.

Thorn's hands went limp at Thunderstorm's words. The thorny bines quickky retracted toward him, but it was alk too late. Retak'ka was dead.

Thorn closed his eyes and pushed down his guilt at brutally killing someone and approached the five elementals. "You all okay?"

"Y-yeah, we are. Where's Quake and Solar?" Cyclone asked, struggling to stand up.

Thorn's heart sank, and he ran towards the direction of the two limp bodies, the other elementals hot on his tail.

They all sighed in relief when they saw Quake stir awake, albeit somewhat panicking.

"Where's Retak'ka?"

"He's dead, Quakey. Thorn kilked him," Blaze said from behind Thorn.

Quake sighed in relief, until his eyes traveled to the body beside him. "Solar, he's dead, isn't he?"

A grim look from Ice, who was checking on Solar, confirmed his suspicions.

"No," Thorn said in a strong voice. "He's not." He looked at the ice elemental. "Tell me the truth, Ice. He's just playing a prank in us, right? He's just taking his revenge from our latest prank. Yes, that must be it."

"Thorn..." Quake said softly, tears forming in his eyes as he looked at the boy in front of him.

Thorn knelt down beside the light elemental's body. "Solar~! That prank won't work anymore~!" He said with forced laughter.

"Thorn, Solar's gone," Cyclone said gently, placing a hand on Thorn's shoulder, to which he was ignored.

"Solar, wake up now! It's not funny anymore!" Thorn's voice, laced with anger and pain, cracked at the end of the sentence as tears fell down his face. "Solar, please."

Everyone else was quiet as they watched the painful scene of Thorn pleading for the light elemental to wake up.

"Can you revive him? Please, Quake? Thunderstorm? Anyone?" Thorn held out his arm, looking desperate. "Please. I'm even willing to lend my power. Just revive him!"

Quake grabbed Thorn in a tight hug. Thorn broke down in his arms.

"I can't... Solar...."

Quake continued to hold the sobbing boy as the others formed a circle around the two of them. Damn all the fighting around them. Fang, Yaya, Ying and Gopal can take care of them. Consoling each otherwas more important. They may not share a body anymore (as they aren't complete anymore), but they still shared a brotherly bond with each other. The death of Solar was the death of a brother to all of them.

"At least he's in a better place now," Thorn whispered.
