The skies are crying.

It's like the nature is sad about something.

What could it be about?

They were supposed to be happy.

It's Christmas.

The happiest time of the year.

What could have happen to make the skies cry in pain and agony?

"H-hey..." Solar whispered hoarsely as he reached out to wipe Thorn's tears with a trmbling hand. "D-don’t cry, T-thorn. I d-don’t want you to c-cry."

"B-but you're g-gonna leave me, S-Solar," Thorn sniffed. "I-I don't w-want you to leave."

"Thorn..." Solar smiled at his brother. "I w-won't be l-leaving you. As l-long as you r-remember me. I'll always stay in your h-heart."

He went into a coughing fit to which Thorn went to soothe him.

"Please sing for me, Thorn," Solar whispered raspily. "I want to hear your voice one last time."

Thorn looked at his younger brother, who was looking so pale and weak, and yet looking so strong for his sake. For Thorn's sake.

"Okay." Thorn took a deep breath to gather himself before starting to sing.

"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You made me happy when skies are gray."

Solar had a small smile on his lips as Thorn gently caressed his pale face.

"You'll never know dear, how much I love you."

Thorn's voice sounded so broken and small, and it filled Solar with pain. Howver he had to leave. His breathing slowed down, and his eyes closed as he heard his brother sing the last line.

"P-please don't take my s-sunshine away..."

Thorn lost it the moment he sang the last line. He felt Solar's grip slacken in his hand, and he knew his brother was dead.

The doctors rushed into the room as they heard the flatline beeping of the heart rate monitor but Thorn didn't care. He sat there on his brother's bedside, sobbing hysterically against Solar's body.

He was dead. His sunshine was gone.

Outside, the clouds turned to hide the sun and cried, as if the sky was mourning the loss of one of them.
