Listen to me, for once
Signed, Blaze

"Ice, Hey Ice!" Blaze called out his twin brother's name, catching up to him as he was in front of him. Blaze had finally caught up to Ice and was walking right beside him. "Ice? How was your day? No coughing? No wheezing??" He asked out of concern. Ice shook his head, pulling down his mask that protects other people from getting his illness.

"Surprisingly, I didn't cough or wheeze. Maybe today is my lucky day." Ice tried to sound happy, he was always down and tired due to his illness. Blaze knows that Ice wanted to sound happy and so, he acted. "Maybe it is your lucky day! Mom and dad would be thrilled to know about this!" A grin appeared across the hot-headed boy.

Ice nodded his head, agreeing with what Blaze had just said. Both of their parents paid more attention towards Ice, he felt bad that Blaze got the least attention but Blaze told him that it was for Ice's own good. He pulled his mask back up to his nose and continued walking back home with Blaze.

Back at home, their mom and dad greeted them with a simple hug- family hugged that Ice and Blaze loved to have. Their family are known to be the most affectionate people in the neighborhood. Especially Ice and their mother. The both of them are glad to have the most heroic mother ever! She cared and love them like any mother would, specifically when it comes to her cooking like healthy food and aiding them when they're sick!

As for their father, he is their role-model in their life. He does things that their mother can't do or don't have the time to do. Their father is already retired from being a military Air Force. To get money and to not make their mother burdened with so much work. Their father insisted on doing the chores at home and started to do a small business of him selling local fruits which is a success.

They admire their parents and promised among themselves that they would be just like them when they have their own family.

Night time comes by quickly and the lovable family are currently doing their own things. Their father is catching up with the new series he is into. Their mother is enjoying herself with watching some Korean dramas.

As for Blaze and Ice, those two are doing their homework. Maybe exclude Blaze, all he does is stare at his homework, hoping the answer would just pop up out of nowhere. Meanwhile, Ice is struggling with one of the questions and he immediately shut his book and groaned into his whale plushie. "I don't even get it, how on earth do we get the 2 in front of magnesium?? And how are they even supposed to balance these things??"

Blaze shrugged his shoulders saying that he himself does not understand the question. "When I thought Chemistry was easy, it proved me wrong." Blaze sighed in annoyance. "Can we just copy Luna's one tomorrow? Or Rose?" Ice nodded his head to agree with Blaze. He hopped off his chair and walked towards his bed.

Blaze followed Ice but towards his own bed, laying down on it, getting into a blanket and all he thought about was to sleep. He rolled to his left to look at his younger twin brother with a small grin. "Good night~ and get well soon, this sickness you have Ice, is slowly getting to my nerves." Blaze had confessed. Ice only sends him a cold glare before snuggling his plushie and responding back a good night to you too.

That was the last time Blaze had ever happily interacted with Ice.

Blaze was standing against the cold white walls. He breathed in the smell, the smell of the hospital. He kept moving around as he felt anxious with what was going on. No one is telling him what happened. His curiosity is slowly killing him inside. He was left alone in the waiting room while his parents were inside the ICU. He sighed shakily, "what happened to you Ice..? You were fine hours ago.. but what about now..?" He questioned while staring up at the none colored ceilings.

As he was slowly getting deep into his thoughts, his heart suddenly stung in pain which startled him. He gripped on his shirt where his heart is located with a visible hurt face. "What's going on!?" Blaze panicked internally. There was no one out there to help him. Out of the blue, a lot of nurses came running into the ward where Ice was staying. This sparked Blaze's curiosity.

Despite the pain he is feeling, he forced himself to follow the nurse. He sneaked in, trying his best to not get caught. Once inside, he heard a lot of people saying like-

"He needs it-"

"No- get- this is all we can do!"

"Where's the- get it ready- stand by!"

"Get the boy ready!"

It was all muffled, he walked closer to hear it better. His heart pounds against his chest, tears slowly filling up his eyes. He was confused on why. Peeking inside. His heart stopped. Now he understood why he felt those feelings. Seeing his twin brother getting revived by using the defibrillator. He glanced across the room to see their parents crying their tears out.

Minutes past, after he kept staring at the doctors and nurses trying their best to get Ice back alive. It was all useless now. He heard the doctor heavily tell their- his parents that they are sorry, there is nothing else they could do. His mother broke down into more tears and his father just stood still, staring at Ice's pale and fragile body.

On the other hand, Blaze. All he could do was cry his soul out. One of his fears came true. He didn't want this, Ice doesn't deserve this. Their family doesn't deserve this grief and suffer of losing a loved one. He had been holding Ice's whale plushie. He looked at it, sniffling his runny nose.

"Don't leave me.."

Years pass, Blaze has grown up alone in the household, no one to talk with or have fun with. His parents were 'busy' with their work at the office far from their home. Though Blaze understood why his parents wanted to keep themselves busy, it was to help them to forget about Ice.

Ice, who is officially dead.

The whole neighborhood had known about this and had sent a lot of condolences towards them, too much but that did not help them one bit. Right after the death of Ice, Blaze had grown apart from his parents. He tried to comfort them but was pushed away or rejected. He tried to cheer them up but got told off with, "why are you happy!? Your brother just died and we don't even know on how to tell your real parents about it-"

Real parents.

When his mother accidentally spilled out a secret that she and his father had kept from him and Ice. She immediately recomposes herself and clarifies that came out wrong. Blaze did not believe that. He did not want to believe that. He does not have two parents, right?

That was proven wrong. On the day of Ice's funeral. He saw three boys who looked exactly like him but had more different personalities. The one with golden-brown eyes acted like the eldest and a mother figure. The one with electrified red eyes seems to be keeping his distance and his poker face says 'don't come near me or else' and as for the sky blue eyes one, he seemed to be optimistic between his two brothers.

He wanted to avoid them, not wanting to interact with any of them but it was too late. His 'parents' introduced him to his actual parents and his other siblings who were shocked as Blaze is. They introduced themselves and now Blaze had known why on earth their names are weird. It was because his real parents named them after what they saw when his real mother gave birth to them.

Blaze kept the trio's contact number. The one with golden-brown eyes is called Earthquake. Since it was mouthful, Blaze called him Quake. The one with electrified red eyes is called Thunderstorm. Blaze wanted to nickname him pikachu, unfortunately, he got smacked by pika- Thunderstorm and decided to just call him Thunder. While the one with sky blue eyes, his name is Cyclone, Blaze wanted to call him Cyclone but Cyclone insisted to call him Cycy.

That was where their relationship grew.

But,

Not with his adopted parents.

When he finally learnt about his real family and his other siblings- now adding Solar and Thorn who were also adopted. He had more respect for his parents. For working their ass off to support both him and his actual parents who couldn't take care of all seven of them. He was thankful but not when his parents were still in grief because of Ice's death. Ever since then, all he heard was crying and then mourning for Ice to come back.

Whenever he tried to get their attention off from Ice, they wouldn't budge. Eventually, he gave up on trying. Blaze ended up being in front of Ice's grave with a grim yet sad look. "Ice, please.. please help me.. they wouldn't even listen to me! All they care about is you! All they talk about is you! All they praise about is you! And never they talk about me! Can't you lend a hand?" Blaze admitted that he felt jealous and unfair with it.

He soon left the place with a heavy heart.

Somewhere, Ice was there watching and hearing Blaze's confession.

It was already night time when Blaze reached back home. He creeped inside to see his parents sleeping on the couch instead of their bed. Blaze let out a tired sighed. He quickly grabbed a nearby blanket and covered both of his parents so they wouldn't get a cold. Blaze walked upstairs to his bedroom. He sat on his bed, staring at the other side of the room where Ice's bed and belongings once stood. He shook his head and let himself go to dreamland.

In his dreams, he saw Ice, holding his hand with a small bear smile. Blaze smiled back, thinking that this is just a normal dream that he dreamt that was because he had missed Ice. Though, it was wrong. Ice spoke to him, telling him that he had heard Blaze's confession and he had let their parents dream about his future with them. Ice then told Blaze that in the end, he told them that. "It was time to let me go, I am dead and I am gone, I still live by memories and in your heart. As for now, let your attention and love on Blaze. He needs it, more than I do."

Blaze himself had a hard time believing that this is actually real and it was not a normal dream. He was about to ask Ice but Ice smiled- genuinely smiled, "I love you Blaze, thank you, for everything you had done to keep me alive and letting me live my life with full of happiness even at the worst times. Goodbye, Twin." With that, Blaze woke up with his parents in front of him, crying with a lot of sorry coming out from their mouths.

He also tears up and finally, for all these years, he finally hugged them. He forgave them, he told them that all he wanted was just to move on from Ice's death and enjoy the time they have with him. After this whole emotional stuff, his parents went to work and Blaze, he walked into his closet, grabbing the last thing he had of Ice. Ice's plushie whale. He hugged it. "Thank you Ice.. thank you! Without you, they wouldn't be back to normal and I would be forgotten by them! I love you Ice.. for the last time.. thank you.."

From a distance, Ice was watching Blaze with joy. "I love you too."

That was longer then I intended to do- but here ya go, enjoy this instead of dares or truths-

I was bored! I can't help myself but to update this book with a short story when I was daydreaming in the car.

At first it was a reality me(Ice) and my lil sis(Blaze) and my two family(adopted and biological) But theeeen! I mixed it up with BBBs! And that's how this story happened!

Andddd- some of the scenes happened in real life especially with Chemistry- I thought it was easy! But ended up being confusing and I guess I kind of rage quit in the end.

Also, don't mind my grammar and tenses and words- it's been a long time since I wrote(type) an actual story.

You can ask me questions about this story, maybe there are some plot holes without me knowing or- just ask me away!
