Loaf was having a good day.

The sun sparkled brightly in the sky and a few fluffy clouds drifted far overhead, the slivers of sky peaked through the tangled branches and leaves.

"Did you know clouds are over a million pounds?" Loaf asked Lookumz as the two walked through the forest, "Like, how crazy is that? Those giant white puffballs are just floating around in the sky and we just expect them to be light and fluffy."

"You should fact-check that," Lookumz responded playfully.

"It's true!" Loaf protested.

Lookumz scoffed and continued walking. He had heard plenty of random facts from Loaf over the years.

The two were strolling past the muddy, swollen river that threatened the land around it. Florian was worried about it for some dumb reason that Loaf never could quite put his finger on. It was nearly an hour hike away from camp so it's not like it would bulldoze through the entire valley.

"I don't understand why Flo is so worried about this river," Loaf voiced.

"Something about it tearing up the land and destroying the ecosystem," Lookumz shrugged, equally as confused.

"It's a really dangerous river, and you guys should know that," Florian appeared behind them. The two yelped in surprise.

"Oh, hey, Flo!" Loaf waved cheerfully, "Didn't know you had come along."

"It was involuntary," Frost grumbled, speeding up to walk beside the other admin, a few paces behind Loaf and Lookumz. Rafessor also trotted to join them.

The five continued in silence for a while before Rafessor spoke up, "Hey, let's check out this section of the river really quickly," He didn't wait for the others and trotted towards the river. Loaf and Lookumz glanced at each other and shrugged, joining the admins by the river.

Loaf noticed an overlook on the bank and urged Lookumz to join him. The two strolled away from the admins to stand on an overhang and glance down at the river. Directly across the river was a tall tree with a small, claw-like mark in the bark.

"Maybe we shouldn't be over here, Loaf," Lookumz suggested, wryly.

"It's fine, we are too high above the river for it to do much," Loaf clarified.

"I don't know, this river has a history of tearing down cliffs along it's bank," Lookumz fiddled with a small rock he had come across on the trail.

The river lapped hungrily at the cliff they were standing on. Loaf glanced upstream to see the three admins. He spotted Rafessor risking a small glance in the direction of the other two members.

Loaf jammed his hands into his pockets and stared down at the river. Loaf and Lookumz stared at it for a while, waiting for the admins to head back to the path.

"Get away from the river!" There was a shout from one of the admins, Frost.

Loaf's head snapped up to see the admins rushing away from the river. His eyes flicked to the river itself to see a large wave of water crashing through the forest, probably caused by the ice and snow melting on the mountains. Loaf and Lookumz didn't react quick enough.

The water ripped the ground out from under their feet and dumped them into the water. Loaf flailed his arms, searching for anything to grab in the murky liquid. The dirty water stung his eyes causing him to squeeze them shut.

Something slammed into his head and flung him through the water. Loaf risked opening his eyes again, trying to fight to the surface. He broke through the water and inhaled the fresh air. The admins were running along the bank, trying to keep up with the river. Further downstream, Lookumz also popped his head above water. Loaf was shoved back under.

Loaf drifted through the current, logs and tree branches slamming into him, pushing him further underwater. The pressure pressed down onto him, making him dizzy.

Loaf pushed off of a rock and shot towards the surface. He tried to break into fresh air but another wave forced him under. The water started to clear and Loaf spotted Lookumz, gripping onto a rock as another wave pushed through. Loaf wrapped his arms around his friend and the two gripped onto the rock as the water raced around them.

Lookumz grabbed Loaf's arm and pointed towards the surface.

Air.

The two fought against the water, trying to make it back to the surface. Loaf broke through once again and frantically searched for Lookumz. He didn't surface.

Tck...tck...tck...Crack.

Loaf felt tears brimming his eyes as he was once again brought back under. He hadn't even seen the admins.

Loaf twisted around in the water, trying to get to shore. Another log ran into him, leaving him dazed. Loaf floated aimlessly, trying to fight back the spots flying across his gaze. He was loosing feeling in his arms and legs.

No! I will not die! Loaf thought, rightening himself in the water. He was suddenly jerked backwards, bubbles slipping from his mouth. His foot was caught in underwater debris.

Loaf struggled and twisted, trying to free himself.

The last thing Loaf remembered was watching black jaws closing around him and blood staining the water red.

Tck...tck...tck...Crack.
