Rules

1. All genre stories are allowed except random/poetry. Mature stories are allowed.

2. You can enter only one work of yours. 

3. Your book must have at least 4 chapters (excluding extras). Prologues do count as a chapter. 

4. Follow Morning Star Community and add this book to your public & private reading lists to keep yourself updated. 

5. Give this book a shoutout on your message board as the more the members, the more chances to get exposure on your work. 

6. Be kind and humble while commenting on your partner's work. In case if we find curt or rude comments, your name will be removed from the book club. 

7. Don't enter if you can't commit. We won't tolerate any kind of inactivity from our members except in case of an emergency.

How this book club works :

▪ there will be a total of three groups in the club. All the entries will be divided equally into three groups and each group will have a separate manager, to whom you would have to report by the end of an assignment. 

▪ the three groups are  

▪ the duration of an assignment will be 10 days. You will have to finish your provided work in 8 days. Break of 2 days and then the new assignment. 

▪ you will read 3 chapters from your assigned partner's work and leave at least 5 inline comments and one detailed comment. You can comment more than 5, that's totally upon you. In case if your partner's work has a prologue, then you will be reading prologue + 1 & 2 chapter of that book. In case if there is no prologue then chapter 1, 2 & 3. The number of comments can be more or less, depending on the length of the chapters.

▪ keep in mind that your comments need to be helpful and not hateful. If you feel like there is something wrong with your partner's work, point it out kindly. Instead of dragging someone's work down, focus on pointing their mistakes out. You need to balance your comments with positive and negative elements.

▪ There is also a provision for permanent pairing. In such case, if you feel like vibing with your partner and wish to have the same work to read, notify any one of the managers and after asking your partner the same, you both will be paired together every week until the other finishes the last chapter of your work. 

▪ if you want a break in any circumstances, you need to ping any of the book club managers regarding the same so there won't be any complications for further pairings.

▪ once you have finished your assignment, comment inline next to your name in the chapter in this book where you have been partnered, in this format :  

"Done reading chapter 1, 2 & 3 of 'book's name'. @/ your group's admin."

▪ Readers only can also join this book club. Perks of joining the book club as a reader are :
