Ancilla has been entered into Best Female Lead - and there is a LOT of competition. This is a really popular category. Also into Best Male Lead. I discovered who my judges were tonight, and followed them, when checking on the status of my entry.

Wattpad is getting spotty about notifying me when I've been tagged in a comment or a mention - say, being listed on a page of officially accepted contest entries.

UPDATE (7/29/2024, apparently one month late)

The results were announced in a chaotic fashion, and I'm trying to figure out what they mean. I think I might possibly have tied for third place with another author for Best Female Lead? Maybe?

I did not do well with Best Male Lead in this contest. 

A judge appears to have gone AWOL; the contest host is calling for aid with one last category. I will resist. No contestant deserves a burned-out judge, and I am exhausted. The beacons can jolly well stay let. Let someone else help Gondor this time!

Going strictly by scores, I think that means I tied for third place with another author. The way the results were presented really was confusing. Nobody appears to be declared a first, second, or third-place winner.
