Ravendipity, I'm still looking for those stiletto boots. And what's his name to go in them. With a Shakespearean half-cloak. I'll let you know if there are any developments on this front.

art? graphics? for Best Cover. At the time, that was still the only thing I felt confident showing off. It was a very slender book when I entered it in the mini awards.

Wild Is the Wind is shadowbanned and needs all the love it can get, so I entered it in the Best Presentation category.

I said I was going to foist my poetry on Ravendipity. I do not make empty threats. Excavations is in the Best Writing Style competition. I'm just a great big ball of confidence.

UPDATE (7/22/2024) - Wild Is the Wind took a First Place for Best Presentation.

@Ravendipity - if this tag actually WORKS for once - if you see this - since you like my art, please consider browsing more than just the cover of art? graphics?  I've added a LOT to that portfolio since I entered it in the mini awards. You might like what's in there.

I'm still working on the boots.

Anyway, the review of Wild Is the Wind:

UPDATE (9/18/2024) - Excavations got First Place: Best Writing Style, and a recommendation to Wattpad's Poetry ambassadors that it be included on the Poetry reading list.

So, the only remaining major work of mine that I've shoved at Ravendipity that I have yet to receive feedback on is Ancilla, which will probably take a long time because

1. I've entered it in the largest, most competitive, most difficult category in two contests Ravendipity is hosting - not because I'm ambitious, although I am, but because Ancilla is practically its own genre and doesn't even fit in the "normal?" category of the Candlelight Awards because it is at least recognizably prose fiction. Where the heck else am I going to stuff it? and

2. Ancilla is long. It's not as long as the stuff that Marcel Proust wrote when he was alive, not even the prologue, which I did not deliberately write that way to test the patience of readers who just want to skip ahead to the smutty smutty smut, but it is, nevertheless, a test (which, actually, isn't really all that smutty compared to most of the "erotica" I've seen, including on Wattpad - there aren't enough body parts or fluids or dirty talk, so smut-seekers are probably disgusted by my smut's lack of smuttiness. When did the word "erotica" become synonymous with "porn," anyway?)

(Ancilla was not entered in the Padauk Mini Awards. For the record. I think it had too many upvotes or something).
