K.O. opened his eyes slowly, only to find himself lying on the ground. It was unusually cloudy outside, and the sun was still barely visible behind the clouds. Suddenly, this caused K.O. to jerk up in realization and fear. The sun wasn't supposed to be out - and if it was, he should've been underground with Mutie and all those other heroes, not on the surface risking to be found by the villains.

He quickly stood up and frantically looked around, and sighed in relief realizing that nobody was there. Suddenly, though, he jerked his head up and looked around him, noticing all the buildings and how everything was normal.

He rubbed his eyes. Was everything he witnessed just a dream? No, it couldn't have been, he was still in his torn clothes, he still felt completely hopeless. He figured this was another one of his dreams, but it felt too real to be one.

He looked behind him, only to see the bodega. He placed his hands over his mouth, wanting to cry. He didn't bother paying attention to the fact that there was a large fence on the roof and around the sides and back of the bodega. He didn't bother to notice how filthy the inside of the store was and just how broken down it was.

He started walking toward it, but stopped when he remembered something else. He quickly ran toward the location of his mom's dojo, a small bit of hope inside of him. He skidded to a stop once he reached it, and he gasped once he realized it was closed.

He pushed on the door a few times, sighing in disappointment once he couldn't get it open. He just looked down at the ground for a moment, when he heard voices behind him, causing him to quickly turn around.

There he saw his mom, who was a complete mess, standing next to Enid and Rad, who were both completely unharmed. The only thing about them was that they seemed to be more depressed than he's ever seen them before.

He couldn't believe it though. They were there, and they were alive. He couldn't help himself, he wanted to go say hi and grab their attention so much, but at the same time he didn't want to interfere with their conversation.

He just took a deep breath and started walking toward them slowly, trying to hide the fact that he was nervous. He stopped behind his mom and just looked up at her. His throat went dry, but he still managed to speak.

"Mom?" He asked, in a quiet voice that was slightly high pitched. "Is... Is it really you?"

Suddenly Carol turned around and looked down, and her eyes went widen the moment she saw K.O. It looked as if it was the most hopeful and happiest that she's been in years, and K.O. didn't understand why exactly she was like that.

She rubbed her eyes and blinked a few times, and when she saw K.O. still there she let out a loud scream and quickly went to hug him. Enid and Rad just watched in amusement, but despite that they were still happy to see the small child after a year of just nothing but sadness and despair.

"I can't believe my little boy is alive," she cried. "How did this happen???" She asked, letting him go and placing her hands on his shoulders.

"I should be asking how Rad is back on Earth, why Enid still has both her legs, why you're still here after going MIA, and how the hell everything got back to normal in a single damn night," K.O. said. "I mean I should be happy, but it was just so sudden that I'm just so confused."

Carol just looked at K.O., ignoring everything he just said. "K.O., I don't think you understand that a year ago you jumped off the roof of the bodega. I think that's why your clothes are ripped up, I think that's why you're so confused," she said. "...I think you're alive because you rose up from the ground because the magical rainbow powder gave you life again."

K.O. just quickly backed away from Carol, looking at her with a confused look, as if he was trying to ask her if she was serious.

"You oblivious dumbass," he said to her under her breath, making her gasp dramatically. "Screw this, I'm going back to the apocalyptic world."

K.O. started to walk away, but Carol stopped him. "K.O., get back here right now! I need to hug you some more!"

K.O. just rolled his eyes and ignored her. "I'd rather get hit by a car than to -"

Suddenly a car horn honked and before he looked up, the incoming car hit him, making his guts splatter everywhere, and making Carol, Enid, and Rad shriek as loud as they could as lightning flashed in the sky and it started pouring down rain.

(A/n) I had the opportunity to turn this into something really good and serious, but I just had to go and ruin it by turning it into this weird mess. I'm so sorry, but I couldn't help myself. I found an opportunity to make it weird and I took it xD

Uhh yeah, anyway, I guess you can vote and comment if you enjoyed this weird one-shot, and I'll see you guys in the next one I guess xD
