Alpha's POV

There was some rustling in the bushes behind Alpha and he turned around to see Kiara, Duke, and Sally appear. Alpha was a bit surprised but he quickly hid it with a snort.

"So you finally decided to join me," Alpha said.

"Just shut up and keep going before we get caught," Kiara snapped.

Alpha shook his head and kept on stalking through the grass with the others following him quietly. They followed after the Sun Wolves, keeping as low as they can and stalking as quietly as they can. The Sun Wolves went through some huge bushes and Alpha stopped to sniff the air to taste more Sun Wolves.

"This way," Alpha growled and climbed up a hill, overlooking what was through the bushes.

He saw more Sun Wolves. They had found their camp. There was a loud howl and more Sun Wolves started getting out of their dens and gathered around a tall rock where a huge, strong Sun Wolf sat. A growl came out of Alpha's throat as he realized who the wolf was. Memories filled his mind in an instant.

"Well too bad you're father's not here to save you."

"Why have you attacked Zeus? You broke the rules!"

"Vengeance must be served!"

"Blake, Kiara, get out of here!"

He saw his father die over and over again, his fury slowly building up, his growl becoming louder.

"Hunter," Alpha turned sharply towards Kiara.

"What?" he snapped.

"Are you okay?" Kiara asked, looking a bit concerned.

"I'm fine," Alpha muttered and looked back at the Sun Wolves.

Once the wolves had gathered, Zeus motioned his tail for silence.

Then he spoke  in a deep voice, "The Sun Wolves are the strongest wolves of the Four Packs and will always be the strongest. Five years ago, we have wiped out every single Night Wolf in the forest and have taken control of the Sky Wolves and the River Wolves. They have grown so weak and scared that they bow down before me!"

"What?" Kiara exclaimed, "He's taken control of the other packs?"

"He has gone too far," Duke added.

"Rudy, my faithful Delta," Zeus asked, "How are the patrols to the other pack territories?"

"We have done as you told us to," Rudy, who was sitting at the base of the rock, answered, "We're getting lot's of food every time."

"And what happens when they don't bring food?" Zeus asked.

"We shred those cowards to pieces," Rudy growled, "Or better, we kill them!"

That brought the Sun Wolves to howl in agreement. Alpha's fury kept on building up and he can see the others glaring.

"Those cowards," Alpha snarled, "I'll show them what being shred is!"

"Calm down," Kiara whispered and Alpha got back down.

"Most of the Sky Wolves are already dying," Rudy went on, "They're getting thinner especially since they live in the mountains."

"Good," Zeus said, clearly satisfied, "Now I want another patrol to go to the Sky Wolves territory in three days. Come back then go to the Water Wolves. If the Sky Wolves don't have any food, you know what to do."

"Yes Alpha," Rudy nodded.

Zeus announced the meeting to a close and the Sun Wolves separated.

"Quick, we need to get out of here," Alpha told them and led the way, silently.

Just then, the bushes nearby parted, revealing two Sun Wolves. They stared at each other for a while before Alpha quickly sprayed some dust on them.

"Quick, run!" Alpha ordered and they sprinted away.

He looked back to see the Sun Wolves catching up. Thinking fast, they rounded a corner and Alpha spotted a low lying branch. He quickly pulled the branch back with his teeth and let go, hitting the Sun Wolves back. They kept on running until they had crossed the border but they kept on running. They ran and ran until they finally reached the cave and stopped, catching their breaths. No one spoke for a while.

Then Kiara broke the silence, "I can't believe Alpha Zeus would do such a thing. He has gone too far!"

"What are we going to do?" Duke asked.

Alpha abruptly stood up and walked into the cave. The discovery got him into a bad mood. He didn't care if he hadn't ate yet, but just went straight to sleep.
