The first book I will be talking about is "Legend".
Though I think legend is an incorrect title for this book because it is so forgettable that I can barely remember anything that happens.
So very quickly let me explain the plot
The Plot
This guy named Day is super special and is a wanted man because the government is evil. There is this other girl named Katniss... no Tri- June. Her name is June. She is also super special but her brother gets killed supposedly by Day. She is after VENGEANCE and coincidentally meets Day while undercover. Though she doesn't know it. They fall in love over their lack of personality and the rest you can guess. She turns Day in but then figures out the government is evil and escapes with him. THE END.
Now if my opinion wasn't clear in the summary I don't like this book. It basically has the plot of a young adult novel and doesn't take any risks.
There is nothing fundamentally wrong with this book but being bored is almost worse than being bad.
The characters
The characters are BORING. It would be okay if the story were interesting (like The Hunger Games) but it's not. When does being special become so common in a story that it somehow becomes special in not being special.
WHAT IS GOING ON!!!!
The Romance
Their romance is even worse. I don't even know why they got together.
I know I probably shouldn't be talking about this because I am a gay thirteen year old but still is this how straight relationships are?
The Setting
The setting is stereotypical and boring.
Other
I should probably mention Tess who is only in the story because.
Nitpicks
The way the font changes every time the perspective changes is really annoying. We are not that stupid.
