explanation :: Apart from death, necrosis to me is about decay. For this, I included hydrangeas which symbolizes death in some culture and added decay-like texture plus worms to portray decay. Also, I wanted to illustrate the general sentiment of flowers being put on graveyards. For me, there is horror in death itself. As for the colour, I figured red would be too obvious so I went with neon pink. In addition to this, the extending hand might as well be someone bidding goodbye to a dead family member.

explanation :: I tried to convey the idea of someone waking up as them literally falling from their dreams (top half) and waking up to the harsh realities of life and the cruelty that exists in the world. You momentarily feel relief when you wake up as you still have the temporary bliss that comes with your dream but it soon fades, it's something the character longs for. The food in this case can be interpreted as art imitating life, the idea and dream of it all is attractive but the reality is scary and uncomfortable. Necrosis is the death of most or all of the cells in an organ or tissue due to disease, injury, etc, in this piece, the person's inner self (represented by the two selves, the ying and yang per se) and view of the word is being necrotised by the fever (their disillusionment of a romanticised view of life and opportunity which is represented by the dark bottom half.

explanation :: I didn't really interpret it in a super scary way, I wanted to add a paranormal spin to it. So, I had this idea that he was a scientist and that one of his experiments had gone wrong and had changed something in his eyes, which made it capable for him to kill people just by looking at them. I did edit his eyes to be red but I don't think it's that visible.
