explanation :: In my narrative, there is a deadly disease spreading around causing people to suffer from Necrosis. My character, a failed wanna-be doctor, decides to use this as an opportunity to finally play doctor. He obtains some patients who are desperate for a cure and attempts to heal them. His efforts are futile, and they die while under his care. Unable to accept this defeat he tries unorthodox methods, leading him to necromancy and black magic. He unintentionally creates mindless monsters out of his past patients. Amazed, he continues conducting experiments to see what else could happen. Each discovery was revolutionary to him and he became addicted to wanting to discover something new. Eventually, He grew old of the patients and decided to continue his experiments out on himself. This was to get the best results and a high off the adrenaline. Hence why his brain is exposed in the graphic. Instead of the doctor, he wised to be, he turns into a cruel experimentalist. My graphic depicts the scene in which his past patients break out of their containers and kill him. I wanted my graphic to overall to have some old horror movie vibes, so I went for vibrant colors and decorative title effect.

explanation :: if necrosis could be personified, this is how i would imagine him: a calm figure slowly devouring your body--not malicious, but rather a half bemused executor of fate. blue and green are typically colors that are associated with nature and innocence, but here they are shown as piercing, almost poisonous; like during necrosis, the natural is being corrupted, turning into something else. decay is slow and deadly, changing without really moving, a hypnotic swirl rippling out that is conveyed with the gif--there is something is shifting, something disorientating, something fragmented in the usual reality (something that is not always obvious at first glance--observe the car, the wound, the walls) . . . and yet for now, nothing truly changes.

extra notes :: due to two contestants withdrawing from the competition, only two will be eliminated from those who submitted this round. after the publication of this chapter, we will allocate two days for us to judge and compile all of the scores. good luck to all the contestants!!
