"I'll miss you..."

Taeyong was fixing his mate's luggage since he is moving out today. Jaehyun was on the bed sulking and telling Taeyong how much he'll be missing him. The omega tied the luggage close before he stood to seat beside the sulking alpha to hug him.

"I know, I'll miss you too a lot but both of us don't want bad things to happen."

Jaehyun sighed, "Why did he have to come back? He should've stayed there at the North!"

"We'll be together again, my alpha. I know someday we can have our own home and family, alright? Maybe Lord Kim could bring me whenever he has meeting in the castle," Taeyong said.

The alpha just kissed the omega's forehead, "Someday, huh?"

Taeyong smiled sweetly just to make Jaehyun's mood lift up a bit. He doesn't want his mate to feel sad that they'll be apart for who-knows-when. He is upset also but if wanted to see Jaehyun, he'll find a way.

Soon, someone knocked on the door which means the carriage is already waiting for Jaehyun. Jaehyun really didn't want to go but he doesn't want Taeyong to get hurt so he'll go with a heavy heart.

The alpha's luggage was brought into the carriage and everything was ready except the prince wasn't still inside. Taeyong was just laughing at how adorable his mate is.

"Taeyong, I really don't want to go. Can I just hide in your closet? Then I'll come out at evening," Jaehyun begged with a pout.

Taeyong kissed Jaehyun on the lips, "Come on. We'll see each other soon."

The alpha sighed, "I'll think of something."

Jaehyun placed a kiss again and Taeyong kissed him back.

"I love you," the alpha whispered.

The omega smiled, "I love you too."

With that, Jaehyun finally got inside of the carriage and as much as it hurts, the horses started running.

He looked behind him to look through the window and saw Taeyong waving at him until he couldn't see him anymore. It broke his heart and he could feel Taeyong's upset as well. He suddenly wants to jump out of the carriage but he knows that Taeyong doesn't want him to.

He wished he could have some time together again with Taeyong.

As soon as Taeyong was left alone, he immediately cleaned the house and opened every window to get rid of Jaehyun's scent. As much as he wanted to keep the smell, he just can't since Doyoung is coming. He suddenly missed Jaehyun. Now that they're mates, their feelings for each other became much stronger and almost inseparable. He wished he could see him tomorrow.

After getting rid of the scent, he closed each window and goes inside of room. His lips formed into a frown. Without Jaehyun, he feels so lonely. He sat down on his bed and suddenly, smells the scent of Jaehyun on his bedsheet and pillows. He suddenly felt warm and a bit happy.

"Taeyong?"

Taeyong heard. He immediately covered the bite between his neck and shoulder with his shirt before he gets out of his room to go downstairs. He saw Doyoung with his luggage. Doyoung smiled at the omega.

"How were you while I was away?" Doyoung asked while he pull his luggage into the living room.

"I'm fine."

Doyoung closed the door and walked closer to Taeyong. He leaned down to kiss the omega but Taeyong took a step back.

"Are you hungry, my Lord?" Taeyong asked and walked into the kitchen, avoiding Doyoung.

Doyoung sighed and followed him, "No, thank you."

Taeyong made himself busy by making tea for no reason. He was still traumatized with what happened to them that night. While he was preparing, he felt hands holding his arms from behind and made him shiver.

"I'm sorry for going so suddenly. I promise the ceremony will be at the end of the month. Don't get mad," Doyoung said softly.

Taeyong cleared his throat, "I'm not mad."

"Alright. I'll just fix my things upstairs."

"Jaehyun."

Jaehyun heard from the King as he gets out of the carriage. He walked closer to the man while the butler carried his luggage into his room.

"Was there a problem while I was gone?"

The King sighed, "Don't go out of this castle until I say so."

"Why?"

"Doyoung already found out you're somewhere here in my kingdom. Now, stay inside your room if you don't want to get caught."

Jaehyun furrowed his eyebrows, "But how?"

"I don't know but for now, just hide yourself, okay?"

"But I need to see Taeyong!"

"You can't, Jaehyun!"

"He needs me! He needs his mate--"

"Do you want him to get killed?!" the King shouted, "He'll get killed if they knew you're here! Have you forgotten what situation are you in? I'm sorry, but I need to protect you."

Jaehyun gritted his teeth but surrender as Taeyong was on the line. He sighed in defeat.

"It's fine. I'll...be in my room if you need me."

The alpha was just about to go but the King called him, making him stop on his tracks.

"I can always ask Doyoung to bring the omega with him since he still have business with me and at the North."
