It took one moment, and Lily nodded her head. Aster gasped and was about to scream, but Lily quickly covered his mouth with both her hands, leaving Aster's jaw dropped down. Lily whispered. "Listen, darling, Lake can not know that I'm here."

After she removed her hands, Aster raised an eyebrow and asked, totally confused. "Why not? I mean, she'll be super happy to see you!"

Lily sighed, she softly embraced herself and looked away, she couldn't find the quite right words to tell him, but she would just say it instead of lying. "You see, Aster, Lake's destiny is that she will never meet her parents, or she won't be the Lake she was meant to be-..."

Lily slightly glanced at the wooden spear leaning against the wall behind Aster, who turned his head around and saw the weapon, he slightly pursed his lips, until he looked back at the other troll, smiling at him. Aster understood and stared at the ground, quite disappointed. "Oh..."

"I know it's gonna be disappointing for Lake, but with me, she'll be dependent and she won't be able to make her dreams come true. And, there's a lot more things she doesn't know. Do you understand me, my boy?" Lily said and looked him in the eyes, but Aster felt guilty because he met Lake's mother, but she couldn't meet her own mother. But he didn't want to disobey her, so he nodded his head up and down. Lily smiled and grabbed a small chocolate Kiss from her pocket. Once Aster saw her eat the chocolate candy, he chuckled and thought. I see why Lake loves chocolate...

"Whoops, I have to go, darling. Promise to keep care of my daughter and you. Have fun." Lily bowed while smiling, then she gave him a small pat on the shoulder and walked away, exiting from the door. Aster sighed, he stared down at the ground, titling his head downward as he glanced at his feet. Suddenly, a loud knock on the door emitted and he quickly looked up, and instead of Lily, he saw Lake with a warm smile. "Hey Aster..."

"Lake!" Aster smiled widely and quickly paced up to her, and wrapping his arms tightly around her and leaning his head on her shoulder, slightly petting her long blue hair. Lake was shocked at first, then she smiled warmly and giggled, hugging him back. After it seemed like a long time, they finally parted from the embrace and smiled at each other, she giggled. "What was the hug for? Missed me that much?"

"Sadly. Yes. I was worried about you, ok?! I mean, you don't tutor me that much anymore, and I barely see you from time to time. It... kinda sucks." Aster scratched the back of his head, while Lake just said nothing and patted his back, a bit too painful that time. "Sorry, I-... uh... had work, a LOT of work."

"Oh..." he didn't really much believed her, but he decided to just let it slide and give a warm smile, but it started fading away once he remembered Lily who he was recently talking to. Lake looked at him and tilted her head, cocking a brow. "You ok? Is something bothering you?"

"Oh, uh, it's nothing. No need to worry. So... any plans today, Ms. Lake?" He said, slightly swinging his fist to the side and giving her a goofy smile, while Lake crossed her arms, and stared up at the ceiling. "Hmm... not at all! You've advanced to a Junior Archer, now, you deserve a little rest."

After that, they both smiled at each other, but somehow all the thoughts in Aster's head disappeared all of a sudden, all his worries were gone in a blink.
