one of the worst things you can do to someone with bpd is pay a massive amount of attention to them and then suddenly take that away, if you are friends with someone with bpd please be consistent with how much attention you give them because if you go from talking to them every day and constantly reassuring them to suddenly not replying to their messages and acting distant they will absolutely think you don't like them anymore. people with bpd get attached very easily and this kind of thing will cause them a lot of pain.
