Hi there! 

I'm Hazel Rae, an aspiring author. I have only ever written Action/Adventure and Romance novels, but I have wanted to try my hand at Dystopian for a while now. I have been obsessed with this genre since I read Veronica Roth's Divergent Trilogy for the first time three years ago. And yes, when I say obsessed it is quite the understatement, but I am both inspired by Veronica Roth and I think she very successfully created a Dystopian landscape in which I feel is the true definition of Dystopian literature. 

So with this, I bring to you "Branded for Ruin", a novel inspired by Dystopian books I have read, as well as the COVID-19 outbreak that has now been going on for about two years. I have taken a lot of the events from the past two years (as well as some conspiracy theories I really like as well :) and have compiled them here after they have gone through the thought processes of my head. All I ask of you guys is to give me honest feedback, read, and enjoy! I love getting constructive criticism while it is helpful to build a future career in the writing world. Also, this is just a first draft and I am writing as I am posting, so the storyline can change and/or be rewritten at any point, and I am doing a lot of editing. So, please bare with me through this process. Please don't use anything I write in this novel for your own use, unless it's a quote and credit is given. If you message me, asking permission for a certain part or idea, I will consider it, but this novel has taken a lot of planning and a lot of research, so please respect that.
