The lines of coding flashed through his mind briefly, but his mind and hands worked in tandem to put in those codes as much as he could. He didn't have much time left so the sooner he got it done the better.

Fic had guessed that they would try to attack their database for information on Duri after that battle, since apparently, Gulus loved to battle, Dan explained (thankfully they hadn't commented on the flush on his face until Fic had rushed out for some calls), so it was the perfect chance to test if he could fight on their programmer's levels.

Which actually reminded Duri that their programmer turned out to be Hiro. His dad had been an inventor and programmer, so he had picked up some tricks here and there mainly due to his high IQ according to the file they had found on him before he himself disappeared from Kanto's Hazakura Academy 6 months ago.

To be honest, though, Duri was nervous about this. Sure he liked programming and knew a lot about it, but this was the first time he would be using it to combat a villain. A villain his age, true, but nonetheless still a powerful one.

Makes me wonder how I ended up in this predicament, he drily thought to himself, but chuckled in amusement as his eyes caught Hajime and Peko ripping Fuyuhiko a new one due to the shouting he had done beforehand.

He looked really cute, he finally thought to himself with a smile. Fuyuhiko's softer side had surprised him, and Duri would be lying if he said that he didn't find the other attractive because of that and his bluntness. Something he hadn't seen in a long time until he took down Dr M in a very brutal way, and he liked it a lot.

Still, Duri had his doubts. He knew that Fuyuhiko had threatened him, and he was pretty sure the blonde would not hesitate to let him go if he proved useless against Hiro.

Duri closed his eyes. Plus... love was something complicated for him. His crush on Nebok ended up being used against him, nearly leaving Y at the mercy of Wang Sora, his crush on Ogong went awry cause he had to leave town, and Knight was his brother's boyfriend now. Sure they had broken up on good terms, but Duri still hated it. Hated, as selfish as it was, that his brother always got the better end of the deal.

Duri had sworn to himself not to get involved with romance again. It was just too much of a pain. It brought heartache and reminded him that no one could love a broken record like him. Someone who had killed because he couldn't control himself-

"Hey, Duri, how's the coding going?" Lia asked as she leaned in.

"I-It should be done soon," he quickly regained himself, adding in the final touches of the program before stretching, "Alright it's done. All we have to do is to wait and then do active defense against Hiro."

It was painstakingly obvious to him when he looked at the programs that it would be flawed. Hiro was constantly breaking through the walls, so Duri would just have to set up firewalls faster than him. No Pokemon were going to be able to help out. Thus, it was a battle of willpower. Him against Hiro. Skill against talent.

"Alright, I'm ready," he cracked his knuckles, hovering his hands over the keyboard in preparation.

"Good to know," Fuyuhiko walked over, and Duri tried to hide the blush forming on his face by focusing on the computer. Gosh, his cheeks were so puffy. "Now we wa-"

The sounds of computers beeping echoed throughout the room, making everyone jump as Duri's eyes narrowed seeing the lines of code beginning to show. It was time.

"Alright, time to battle, Hiro," he whispered before the sounds of the keyboard echoed throughout the room.

Everyone was counting on him, and he was not about to lose to Hiro. Not after that loss.

Cha Duri had a stubborn streak on him just like his family, after all.
