Gulaab POV

The was a huge range of mountains in front of me. Their height touching the clouds. My mouth hung open at the sight in front of me. They had greenery in the lower part and they were covered with white snow on the peak.

I raked my eyes all around and took a breath of not believing. The ground was covered with grass and only trees around.

I could see a dense forest in front of us that could take us to the mountains.

"What happened?"

I shivered suddenly as he caught my attention.

"It's beautiful"

I told.

His lips slightly curved in a smile and he replied.

"It will be dark soon. We should find a stay."

I nodded and he slowly forwarded his hand.

I diverted my gaze from his deep and dark eyes to his big hand.

I took it slowly to walk hand in hand.

We look ahead to walk.

Taking every step further ahead to those mountains unaware of the destination, I enjoyed this noiseless and silent company. Enjoyment didn't come just with sharing things, it did come with peaceful walks. Right?

I smiled.

The chilly breezes hitting my skin frequently alarming my goosebumps. We both held our clothes and hand in hand walking to somewhere. He seems slightly tensed and I couldn't stop myself from asking.

"Sultan,"

I called slowly.

"Rafiq,"

He corrected.

My eyebrows thinned and a slight blush appeared on my cheeks as I said.

"You know, we don't call our husbands with the name"

I said slowly entering into the dense forest. There was slight light but it was going to be dark very soon.

"Gulaab, there won't be anyone listening that you are breaking rules"

My sight instantly diverted from the ground to him as he took my name.

It was like he called my soul. I have never heard him taking my name this beautifully. All the while I forgot my real identity when everyone calls me 'Begum'. But, he still remembers that I was more than a Begum.

I smiled.

"But, why can't I call you 'Sultan'. I have never taken your name and I don't think I can either." I slowly admitted.

"So, you want everyone to recognize us? Also, I am not any Sultan anymore"

He said and I felt like reality hit me. I realized we were not going to Sultanate anytime ever.

"But... I need to think. What does your name mean Sultan?"

"Rafiq, not Sultan"

He corrected and I diverted my gaze down while we crossed a few trees.

"My name means 'Friend'"

He said tightening his hold on my hand as we both walked on the slight slope land.

"Really?" I asked.

"Hmm-hnn" He murmured nodding his head and I just escaped myself from slipping on the muddy surface.

My heart beats raced suddenly and I looked at him. It was like I saved myself from a gallon of embarrassment. What would have happened if I slipped right into the mud in front of him.

He laughed suddenly and caught my attention.

"Look at your face,"

I instantly touched my face. I know it had turned frightened with the thought of slipping into the mud.

I tried to smile and he said.

"Be careful,"

I nodded and we both continued until we reached the end of dense forest.

The whole sky covered with darkness and I could see twinkling stars. Whether was chilly and and I took a sharp breath when my sight fell on a beautiful village.

There were a few small huts far away from each other. It was slightly over the hill. Whole area was green and surrounded by great heightened mountains.

Suddenly my focus bricked over the slight noise of water fall coming from a little far away. I walked a few steps and looked down the slight hill. My sight got hooked by a waterfall that was coming from a huge mountain and fall down visible clearly from where I was standing.

I couldn't see anyone around and then suddenly I felt him hugging me from behind.

A shiver ran down my spine. Due to the cold wind my duppatta were trying to fly and I felt slightly warm when he placed a sensual kiss on the right side of my neck.

He snaked his arms around my waist. His huge and rough palm covered major portion of my bare waist. It was beautiful.

I breathed.

"Begum,"

He muttered slowly in my ear just to make it audible to me. My sight was fixed on the waterfall and the beautiful scenery in front me.

"Ji,"

I asked slowly holding his wrists that were giving me another level of excitement in that adventure.

"Aap to bohot jiddi nikli,"

"You are really stubborn"

"Really?"

"Hnn-hmm"

"Why do you think so?"

I asked diverting my gaze from nature to his face over my shoulder.

His eyes darted in mine told me more than he could. They were calm and peaceful again. No tense lines on his forehead and a slight brightness in them.

"I didn't think that you will ask to come along,"

"Why not? We are meant to live together"

I declared slowly.

He tightened his arms around me and I closed my eyes in surrender.

"Gulaab, will you be mine and only mine? Always?"

His voice slightly harsh and husky but the words were honey sweet to me. His warm breath tickled my ear when he muttered those words.

"Sultan, I am all yours and yours only. Always"

I accepted.

He kissed me on the ear and I giggled.

"So, what's the plan now?"

I asked opening my eyes and enjoying the starry night with great view. The moonlight was falling on every inch of nature and honestly I haven't seen anything beautiful like this before.

"No plans, life is full of excitement and adventures without plan."

"I agree,"

"Are you sad?" I continued.

"No, why would I be? I think rather than being sad with what we lost, we should be happy for what is ahead. We should enjoy this life and start fresh together."

"Start fresh?"

"Hnn-hmm"

"You remember when I said something to you,"

I shook my head not able to guess what was he talking about.

"Kaash ye subah ka suraj na hota,

kaash is pal ke bahar duniya na hoti,

Kaash ye jakhm itne gehre na hote,

Kaash hamare darmiyan ye mulk na hote,

kaash hum is jahan ke Sultan na hote,

Kya hota fir manjar is haseen raat ka,

baaho me aapki kabhi hum or kabhi aap hote,

Aankhon se hi kaha jo humne ab tak,

Vo alfaz fir hamari jaban pe sare aam hote,

Yu dekhti nahi aap hairani se hume tab,

Jab hum is jahan ke sultan na hote!"

"Hope there was no sun of morning,

Hope there was no life out of this moment,

Hope the pain wasn't that deep down,

Hope there was no continent around,

Hope I wasn't the king,

What would be the scene of this night,

Sometimes I was in your arm and you were in mine,

Whatever I said with the eyes yet,

The words were on my lips then,

You weren't looking at me like when,

I wasn't the king of the Empire then,"

He said and my heart beats raced. It was like whatever he said was going true in this moment.

I looked into his eyes and muttered slowly.

"This is beautiful, you know"

"This is becoming true,"

He said.

I was melting in his warm arms and then a thought hit my mind which I started to narrate.

"Aasman ke Sitaro tale thandi hawao ke aagosh me,

Baho me hamari kabhi aap or kabhi hum honge,

Hoga vo manzar jannat ke madhushaley jesa,

Jab do jism mohobbat ke nashe me tar honge,

Niharenge hum unko raat bhar taaro ki chao me is qadar,

Jese dil dhadakne ke liye vo saanso se jyada keemti rahe honge,

Aanhein hum bharenge unke naame ki,

jab chuan se unki dil pe hamare sitam honge,

Hoga vo manzar haseen raat ka,

Jab vo na sultan Or hum begum honge,

Yuhi kaat lenge hum jindagi ek saath jab,

aadho pehar unke deedar hume honge,

Ab kashmakash na koi hamare dil me hai,

Jab unki mohobbat ke lafz jaban pe Sare aam honge,

I finished and he turned me in a swift motion to face me.

He placed his lips on my forehead hugging me and feathered my head softly.

I could that love, respect and bonding between us. It was beautiful.

Suddenly, I shivered when a chilly breeze hit my body.

"Feeling cold?"

I released the hug and nodded looking into his eyes.

"Stay here, I will be back"

"Okay,"

He went from there and I looked around to find a good place to sit. There was a stone Mountain attached to it and it has good grass around. I walked a few steps and in the corner sat waiting for him. The whether, surrounding, winds were setting my nerves high with excitement.

After some time he came back holding a huge bunch of thin woods. He placed the woods on the ground and he started breaking them.

"Need help?"

I asked.

He chuckled and made fun of me.

"Yeah, then your bones will be cracked too,"

"I am strong,"

I felt offended.

He broke the another piece of wood and replied with a smirk.

"Yeah, I know that."

I felt even more offended hearing that.

Standing up I marched to him to took a long, thin wood piece.

He quickly snatched it from me and I thinned my eyebrows with his behaviour.

"Give me that,"

I forwarded my hand to take it from him but he straightened his hand above and I couldn't stand his height. Standing on my tip toes I tries to reach his hands.

But, he was making it impossible for me.

I took a few steps even closer to him and placing my one palm over his chest to balance myself, I again tried to stand high on my toes. I slightly reached till his elbow but couldn't go further.

Suddenly, he pulled me closer by snaking his hands around me and muttered slowly.

"Don't attract me, Begum. You know there isn't anyone to save you from me here"

I dropped the whole idea of breaking the wood just by hearing what he said.

I slightly looked around and realised that there was literally no one. The village was down the hill and to reach it we had to trek downward forward. And the waterfall was near the cottages.

"Aren't we going down to that village or any cottage?"

I asked.

He smiled.

"Let's spend the night here only. We will go there tomorrow."

I blushed and took a few steps away from him accepting my defeat.

He continued breaking the woods and angled them like a bonfire. He got the stones and fired the wood.

"Come here,"

He called me and I did as I was asked.

He held my hand softly and we both sat in front of the fire. The warmness of it soothed my cold body and opened his bundle of clothes and took out a brown blanket.

He covered me with the blanket and said.

"I will be back in sometime,"

"Don't go too far"

He smiled and went from there.

I just stared at the starry sky, the huge mountains around, the slightly dense forest in which we both were staying, a few of the trees around and nobody to reach us.

I smiled.

The fire was huge and enough to keep both of us warm till the morning and I looked around to see him.

I waited until he came back holding some fruits.

He handed me over and sat beside me.

"Have some fruits,"

I nodded and took a bite of sweet fruit.

He also joined me and then suddenly a thought hit my mind.

"Sultan, how we will earn our livelihood?"

He looked at me and took a bite of apple saying.

"I will start working tomorrow,"

"What work?"

He took the blanket from me and pulled me slightly in his lap. My back touched his warm and soothing chest and he covered both of us in that blanket.

"There is a market after this forest, I am thinking of making and selling pottery. The villagers will surely buy them and I have to purchase the pottery maker only"

I was amazed with his plan.

"Wow, I will help you too"

He snaked my waist inside the blanket as his other hand was busy in eating.

"And where will we stay?"

I asked.

"Did you see the waterfall and those nearby down the hill?"

"Hnn,"

"Not many people live there. They are mostly empty. We will rent one."

I smiled.

"You think so much,"

"Why not? I am a family man now,"

"Hehe, true"

I laughed.

We both finished eating.

He hugged me tightly and placed his chin over my shoulder. I closed my eyes as his warmness was soothing me deeply.

"Begum,"

"Ji,"

"How many kids do you want?"

I opened my eyes instantly and diverted my gaze to look into his eyes.

"Sultan, don't you think I am too young to be a mother?"

I tried to say as I felt slight tickle in my abdomen.

"No, you are perfect to be a mother of 100-200 babies"

My cheeks blushed hard with the thought and I couldn't stop myself from imagining a scene with 100-200 babies sitting in a queue and I had to breast feed them.

"Noooo, I am not making any babies with you"

He laughed and I tried to hide my face in his embrace.

But, to my suprise he held my neck and aligned it to sidewards and placed his lips over mine.

The sensual touch felt extremely different in that midnight under the sky in front of bonfire. I felt as if he sparked a thousand sensations in my body. The taste of his lips melted me deeply as I forced my lashes close and gave in myself completely to him.

I got out of breathe when he broke the kiss and muttered slowly.

"Be ready, Gulaab."
