As the others in the room talked about what Ms. Shiota had threatened to do to them, Karma sat in shock. He didn't think she would go that far to keep Nagisa secret. But, even through all of this, Nagisa was emotionless.  Like he didn't care.

But in reality,  he was half expecting this.  He knew just how far his mother would go. But he didn't want it to be true.  He didn't want them to be scared of him  just because of his mother's wrongdoings.  Then,  something unexpected happened.

Nagisa cried.  In front of each and every person in the room.  He bawled his eyes out,  shaking and covering his eyes with his hands.  He let out shaky sobs and stifled sniffs,  but never looked up at the others.  They all just stared in disbelief.

Karma went over as soon as the bluenette started,  hugging and comforting him. "Shhh, it's ok.  Don't cry,  everything's going to be alright," he whispered,  embracing the smaller boy.

They acted as if the others weren't even there,  letting all their emotions out in the open.

They didn't care about then at the moment,  just about each other.
