To be completely honest I was enjoying myself just peaceful reading and waiting for Creed. Of course that's when all hell had to break loose.

Creed burst from the back, running from something. He was cackling like a madman.

"What did you do?!" I yelled, running after him. He laughed.

"I did a thing, and now he's pissed!" He giggled. I sighed, shoving the door open. I heard people screaming behind us.

"It's an Entity!"

"What exactly did you do?!" I yelled as we charged down the street. He laughed again.

"He was annoying me by flexing how many universes he's made. I told him 'why don't you make some bitches?' And now he wants to rip my head off." He explained. I shot him a dirty look.

Something exploded behind us and something roar. I risked a look back.

A tall creature stood there, reaching at least eleven feet tall. Its body was so skinny I could count each individual bone in its body, skin darker than tar. Its head had a striking resemblance to Creeds mask. Chunks of its face were melted off, the inside completely black. Its face was twisted with rage. It dropped on all fours, running right for us.

"What the hell is that thing?!" I screamed. It was quickly catching up with its quick strides.

"He's called The Creator. A really powerful Entity." He explained, and suddenly something grabbed me and Creed from behind, holding up by the legs. The Creator turned us to face his face, snarling. Creed put his hands behind his head, looking relaxed and smirking cockily.

"I should rip you limb from limb and feed your soul to The Predator." The Creator snarled in a deep, booming voice. Creed shrugged.

"Go ahead, tear me apart. Won't get you no bitches. And you know the rules. You aren't allowed to kill an Entity above you." He said calmly. The Creator roared in his face, black liquid flying from his mouth and soaking Creed.

"Aw, cmon man, this is a new jacket!" He protested. The Creator ignored him, looking at me.

"Who are you?" He demanded. I sucked in a deep breath, trying to pass off as cocky as Creed. And judging from the looks on their faces, I failed miserably.

"My names Gem, and I don't like being dangled by my leg if you don't mind." I said. He glared at me.

"Petty words for a girl that is high enough to fall and snap her neck." He growled.

"Kill her and I put yo ass in the ground." Creed piped in.

"Freeze, Entities! You're surrounded!" A voice boomed. I craned my neck, looking around us. Guards in light grey armor surrounded us, aiming spears of blue energy. The Creator set us down cautiously, slowly turning. I put my hand on my gun.

The guards parted, and a man in jet black armor and no helmet passed. He carried a sword with a red energy blade. He had a Olive complexion, messy black hair, and a long, nasty scar running down his face. His eyebrows were scrunched up. The worst part was, I recognized him.

"Now what do we have here? Two Trollge Entity's and a freed Subject walk into Neptonium City. Sounds like the beginning of a joke." Kai said with a sadistic glint in his eyes.

.  .  .

Grian had warned me about Kai. Kai had been the most ruthless out of his squadron, and had quickly caught The Watchers eye. The Watcher had made him head of Containment, whatever that meant. But Kai was a full-born Watcher, completely lacking any sense of compassion, just like the rest of his species.

"Kai." I said simply. Creed shot me a look.

"You know this guy?" He said in my head. I swatted his shoulder.

"Stop with that telekinesis crap. And yes, I know who he is. Grian told me about him." I explained. Kai clapped sarcastically.

"Congratulations. You know who I am. Now, we can do this the easy way, or the hard way. Gem, I didn't want to do this, but now I can see what company you keep... yeah, you're coming with us too." Kai said, enjoying himself. The Creator stood to his full height.

"I'd like to see you TRY and contain me and Troll Face here. And Gem is under Trolls protection. She stays with us." He growled, surprising me. What was with these entities? One moment wanting to rip me apart, the next defending me like a mama bear.

With The Creators words the guards, even Kai, took a few steps back.

"Call for backup. We have Creator and Troll Face on our hands." Kai barked, pointing his sword at us. "I'll make sure they don't pull some of their magic bullshit on us."

He started walking towards us, swinging his sword side to side. With each swing the energy swung to the side like a whip. Once he was close enough, I could practically hear The Creator smiling viciously. He yanked his long arms into the air, and a black wall of what looked like oil shot up around us, surrounding us in a ten foot wide ring. Creed and Creator cackled like maniacs. The Creators laugh sounded like something straight out of a horror movie. Kai paled, looking around.

"You've heard the stories, huh, Containment Master? Tell me, have you ever been contained yourself?" The Creator said, and turned to us, all hostile expressions gone, replaced by a gentle, soft look.

"Go to Trollge. He wants to talk to you. I'll be right behind you." He said. His face twisted back into rage as he turned to face Kai.

Creed grabbed my arm.

"Gem, you gotta help me." He said. I frowned.

"With what?"

"Opening the Rift. My abilities are dampened on Terra Prime. And I saw the Empires Trials. You still have those abilities. Try and tap into them." He said. I closed my eyes, straining and trying to put magic into it. But I couldn't. All it did was drain my energy.

"I can't." I gasped after a moment, falling to one knee. Creed sighed, putting his hand on my shoulder.

"I have an idea... sorry." He said, wincing. Then the fear hit.

I have no better way to describe this feeling as a massive wave of pure fear. It was the most I had ever felt in my life. Every muscle in my body strained to run. But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't. Then another wave hit. A scream of sheer, unfiltered terror escaped my mouth, louder than I would have thought possible. It sounded like a completely different person.

I felt a sudden rush of energy drain, spreading through my body like a ring. In the corner of my vision I saw a massive, purple tear in reality next to me.

As soon as it came, that terrible horror was gone. I found myself on my hands and knees, trembling and tears streaming down my face. The last time I had felt anything like that was when I had run from the Grimlands when I was eleven. I looked at Creed. A look of regret sat heavy on his face.

"What was that?" I demanded, voice weak. He pulled me up, holding me steady.

"Something I never want to do to you again. That should have broken the first and worst lock between you and your magic." He said. I watched as The Creator and Kai brawled.

Kai had activated his helmet, and the sleek black paint job had been scratched horribly. The Creator was pouring black blood from multiple massive wounds across his body. With a roar, he yanked Kai from the ground, holding him above his head. He threw Kai threw the oily, liquid wall. The hole immediately fixed itself.

The Creator turned to us.

"We got to go. The walls not going to last much longer." He said, hurrying through. Creed and I shared a look. He slid his arm under my armpit, helping me walk forwards into the Rift.

.  .  .

The planet we appeared on was both one of the ugliest and most beautiful places I'd ever seen.

Vast mountains rose above us, reaching to the starry sky. Asteroids fell and orbited around in the sky. I could see the stars, the sun, and the Chalice at the same time. I turned, and gasped.

The plateau we stood on had a perfect view of this planets craziest feature.

A massive crater lay before us. I could see the core of the planet at the bottom. Globs of magma floated far below, some as big as boulders and some the size of Asia.

"Welcome to Murn, The Shattered Planet, the reason there's life in the multiverse at all." Creed said. The Creator shuffled around the edge of the cliff.

"Whatcha looking for?" I asked. He looked at me.

"Lever. It activates our own personal Bifrost to get down to the bottom of Murn's crust." He explained, pulling a rock. A semi-translucent red and blue bridge suddenly appeared, curving down.

"We have a long walk ahead of us. Ready?" Creed asked. I nodded and we started off.

.  .  .

I have no idea how long it took to get down. Creed and Creator seemed completely unaffected, while my legs felt like they were on fire. I could barely stand.

Before I realized what was happened, the bridge was suddenly growing closer to my face. I felt The Creator grab my shirt.

"Surprised you lasted that long. Almost made it to the end. I'll carry you the rest of the way." He said, swinging me onto his back. I nodded gratefully, unable to talk.

I kept falling in and out of sleep over the next five hours, picking up on random conversations between the two entities.

"Where did she get the Rift?"

"Best guess? Ataraxi. But if it was the Polaris..."

"I know. We can only hope."

I fell asleep again, waking a few hours later.

"Gem. We're here." Creed said, gently shaking me awake. I shot up, sucking in a breath. My legs felt completely fine now. I stood cautiously, Creed watching closely to make sure I didn't fall again. The Creator stood in front of a wall, patting up about twenty feet above the ground. He pulled down and the wall slid open silently. He fell back onto all fours, kneeling.

A man who looked almost identical to Creed walked out, hands behind his back. The one difference was he wasn't wearing a mask. The grin was his actual face.

"My lord." The Creator said.

"You may stand, Creator." The entity said, turning to Creed. Creed stood with his arms folded.

"And I see you brought a human into our midst. Hmmm. Welcome, Gemini of The Crystal Cliffs to the humble city of Tartarus. My name is Trollge, King of Murn. It is my pleasure to show you what we have built over the past ten million years." Trollge said, bowing slightly.

Kai

I stood in front of a tinted window, scratching the bandage across my arm. The Watcher was heavily disappointed in my performance with the Entities. So I had a solution to find them.

"Wake the Hunter." I ordered to the scientists. One paled.

"You heard me." I snarled. He gulped, pressing a series of buttons. The tint faded, showing a metal coffin sitting straight up. Two robotic saws lowered, cutting away the bolts. The lid fell with a deep thud and two robotic hands reached in. They pulled a massive, sleeping hybrid of a pig and a man missing his right arm from it, obscured by shadows. A prosthetic arm lowered from the roof, bolting itself onto the mans socket. The body flinched slightly, then dropped to the floor. He remained standing, head down and breathing heavily. I smirked.

"Come with me." I told a guard. He nodded, nervously gripping his plasma rifle. I pulled a barrel from the wall and walked into the chamber.

"Good morning, sunshine! I have a job for you." I said, shoving the barrel into the guards arms. I motioned my head to the Hunter. The guard gulped, walking forwards on trembling legs.

"Here's your gear." He said, cautiously laying the barrel at his feet. I could see him breath through his ringed snout and his red eyes glow. The guard slowly stood, keeping his eyes on the man pig. The moment he stepped back, the hybrids metal arm shot forwards, grabbing the guard by the neck. The Hunter took a step forwards, tubes pulling from his hide. He stood at at least eight feet tall.

The guard struggled for breath, looking at me with pleading eyes. I shrugged, feeling sheer joy rising up in me. I had embraced it at this point.

Something snapped in the guards neck, blood pouring from The Hunters grasp. He dropped him, and the guards head rolled to my feet, tongue lolling out. The Hunter crouched down, opening the crate. He swung a red robe around his back and strapped his sword and axe to his back. He lifted a golden crown and placed it on his head.

"Who?" He demanded in a deep, booming voice, not looking at me. I grinned sadisticly.

"Oh, Technoblade. This is gonna be fun."
