Melody walked into the kitchen, not exactly ran, but she walked with passion.

"Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii..." I said weirdly.

"Don't you hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii me, did you know about this?" She asked me. I shook me head.

"I just got my letter now, I'm a best man to a man I've never met." I stated.

"Yeah, but I'm a bridesmaid to bride I wasn't too happy meeting last time." Melody said. Minho laughed.

"This is almost too funny." He said.

"We'll wait in the car." Alice said as she pulled Minho out to the car where the younger boys were waiting, and Macy had ran off to. Melody and I waited until they had walked out.

"Kyle." Melody stated.

"You're the one that told me to talk to my mom about it." I told her.

"But I didn't tell you to tell her to invite my whole crazy family to the wedding." Melody said.

"Minho and his siblings are going too?" I tried. "Macy is even a flower girl."

"Especially since I'm part of this wedding, I don't even know her. How am I supposed to talk to someone like that when she was mean to me, her second husband beat you up, her step kids bullied you for four years, how can-"

"I talked to her." I spilled out. Melody stopped.

"What?" She asked.

"After that day at Ibaleterm and we had that conversation, I called her. I listened to her and I asked her..." I trailed off, wondering how Melody would react.

"What did you ask her?" Melody asked. Her sternness from before was gone. She wasn't mad, or confused. Her voice was soft and caring.

"I was wondering after that conversation if I was right, or if you were right. I was wondering if my mom actually cared for me, or if she loved me, or if she hated my guts. 'Cause I did some deep thinking. I mean you only get two parents in this world. One of mine is already gone, I might as well try to get along with the other parent I got." I said.

"I'm sorry I reacted to harsh, I should have just talked with you." Melody said. "I'll go to the wedding, and I'll even be part of it. I'll try my best to be nice. I'll try better than my best."

"Thanks Mels." I said.

"You're welcome Hoodie Boy." Melody  said smiling. "Besides we got all ninth grade to do crazy stuff." She added smiling. My smile disappeared, wondering how I was going to tell her after that.
