A Broken Arm

Brooklyn's eyes opened, his vision swimming so much. He didn't know how much longer he was gonna live, especially with the next test. But then, his stomach clenched, as he spotted a plate of food before him.

Nausea hit him when he stared at the ham sandwich and glass of lemonade and water. His stomach was still feeling pretty bad from the disciplining earlier and incision so he didn't know if he could eat, but it just looked so good! But why was Thailog feeding him again? Was this another hunger test to test his trust in food?

He gulped, staring more at the food, making him tremble. Brooklyn couldn't hold it in anymore, he had to eat. If he was to escape, he needed the strength to fight the guards to get out of here.

His hand was shaking as he reached for the ham sandwich, taking a couple small bites, then waited. Nothing happened with the exception of his stomach thanking him for feeding it. Giving a small sigh, he kept eating, doing his best to savor it all, thanking whoever left it, as long as it wasn't Thailog, who probably would've loved to poison it. Brooklyn then took a huge drink of the lemonade then washed it down with his water.

He finished when the cell opened. "Come on, you're going to your next test," the guard growled. Brooklyn growled back defiantly, as the guard pulled him forward. This was another chance. The door was open and he had food in his veins.

As they left, Brooklyn roared, jerking his arm away from the man, ducking his cattle prod, beginning to run, trying to ignore his fever that was threatening to overwhelm him.

"Stop him! The prisoner is escaping!"

Brooklyn ran for it down the hallway, wondering how to get out, when he flinched from a cattle prod hitting his side as well as getting pain from his incision that his shackle rubbed against, turning and growling at the guard that did so.

"Ya ain't goin' nowheres!"

"Try me!" Brooklyn screamed back, punching him hard right in the nose, then grabbing his throat.

"Mercy!" screamed the man, but Brooklyn didn't give a damn about honor or mercy now, not like earlier, which became his ultimate weakness (but no longer). "No, you hurt me, and humiliated me. Now I hurt you and make you go through all my freaking pain!" he shouted, scratching his talons along the man's face like Demona did when she scarred the first Hunter, throwing him hard against the wall.

Thailog had seen all this, fury at his plaything shimmering in his gaze. He couldn't let Brooklyn get away with this.

Brooklyn was about to hurt the man even further when a dark shadow looked over him, then kicking him in the back, sending him to the floor.

He whimpered in pain, seeing it was Thailog who had done so, and looked rather furious.

"Attacking my men and trying to escape. I can't have that." he snarled, grabbing Brooklyn by his neck, bringing him back to his cell, thrusting Brooklyn violently to the ground.

Brooklyn tried to crawl away, but Thailog pounced harshly on Brooklyn, pinning him to the ground. Brooklyn yelled painfully from it, along with an added squeeze from his shackle, staring back up in fright.

"You've been rather naughty, trying to escape, haven't you? So you shall face a severe punishment," Thailog drawled, that sent a wave of terror into Brooklyn, as Thailog grasped his left arm harshly.

"D-don't do it, please!" Brooklyn pleaded, knowing now what Thailog was going to do. But Thailog had no mercy in him, beginning to move the arm in the wrong way.

It was the most horrible pain, the muscles stretching, Brooklyn crying, until a snap in his bones could be heard. Thailog broke his arm. He let loose a howl of agony.

Thailog stood, and pulled Brooklyn close, holding his broken arm tight. Brooklyn never felt more traumatized in his life, sweat pouring down his face, flinching from Thailog's devil gaze.

"Let this be a lesson on trying to escape me, got it?" he scowled. Shaking uncontrollably from pain and fear, Brooklyn ended up nodding. Thailog tossed him carelessly aside and walked out, slamming the cell.

Brooklyn winced from landing on his broken arm, pulling up to sit against the cell walls, holding it gingerly, still shaking, beginning to cry once again from Thailog breaking it. Of course he wouldn't be kind enough to fix it right away, wanting Brooklyn to relish in it, learn his lesson.

I want Hudson... he thought, feeling really terrified, for Hudson was the only one Brooklyn wanted to comfort and help him now and no one else, for he really was like a father, one who could console him during this dark hour. He once more curled on the floor as best as he could with the broken arm and injection scar to sleep away his pain, his head swimming with his fever.

...

Thailog was presenting a chained Brooklyn to the clan, who was gazing down in utter shame.

"Your heroic second in command had been subjected to my humiliation tests, which shouldn't happen to somebody like him. Therefore..."

Brooklyn gasped in fear, as Thailog grabbed his arm, pulling. "Ah! No! Stop!" wailed Brooklyn, who couldn't help but scream, Lex backing away, his eyes glowing with disgust. The bones snapped, leaving Brooklyn lying disheveled on the ground, looking at his family, who had disappointment on all their faces.

"H-Hudson..." moaned Brooklyn silently. But Hudson wouldn't help, looking the most disappointed out of all of them.

This was too much for Brooklyn to face, unable to run away because of his broken arm, crying more than he ever did, Thailog holding up Brooklyn like a hunting trophy, grinning triumphantly.

....

"Hudson!" screamed Brooklyn, snapping from the hallucination, shaking, his broken arm on fire, his face covered in tears, wanting to hide from everything.

Meanwhile, Thailog thought of what Brooklyn was about to do, angry at him for attempting to break out. He did plan to fix Brooklyn's arm because he couldn't do the other tests with it, but he needed Brooklyn to learn his lesson first for a day or two, then eventually deliver further tests and disciplines for his plaything once after taking care of his sickness just a bit.
