It was Nighttime and everyone was asleep and Poppy was dreaming of things that weren't all cupcakes and rainbows.
*Poppy's dream*
Poppy sees everyone is at Volcano Rock City upset, but why? what was wrong?

Poppy: Guys are you ok?, what's wrong?

Biggie: Of course not! We we captured by Queen Barb!

Poppy: What?! But we all live in harmony now...

Guy diamond: That's ridiculous! Why would we be in harmony and be friends with a backstabber like you?!

Poppy: I don't understand... What did I do?

??: You didn't listen to anyone but yourself!

Poppy turned around to see Branch, in Rock clothes, grey and in chains?

Branch: I can't believe I ever liked you!, you're stupid, naive and way too positive

Poppy: I'm Sorry!!!

Barb: Too late (evil laughs)

*In the real world (out of the dream)*

Branch was walking past Poppy's pod and he heard.. whimpering? He went straight inside to her pod where he found her asleep, tears in her eyes, even sweating a bit, he slowly walked to her to wake her up, he didn't want her to be in this nightmare any longer.

Branch: Poppy wake up!

Branch gently shakes her to wake her up, Poppy wakes up startled.

Poppy: B... Branch?

Branch: Hey.. wha-

Poppy practically dives in for a hug and starts crying into his chest, sobbing uncontrollably. Branch returns the hug gently and rubbed her back attempting to calm her down.

Branch: Shhh.. It's ok, I got you shhh

After a few minutes Poppy started to calm down but she was still holding onto Branch, wanting to stay close. Branch smiled at her snd gently wiped her tears away.

Branch: Do you want to talk about it?

Poppy agrees and tells Branch what happened in her dream.

Branch: Oh Poppy.. that's not true, you're a great queen and I love you so much

Poppy: I love you too Branch

Branch: Do you want me to stay with you tonight?

Poppy: Yeah.. that'd be great

Branch hopped under the covers and held her close to help her sleep, Branch felt her shaking a bit so he stroked her hair and started to quietly hum true colours, Poppy then felt relaxed again and drifted off to sleep and no more nightmares to ruin her night.
