PERSONALITY AND CHARACTER ANALYSIS: Maher Jameel "MJ" Waseeb was a simple man with a gentle soul. He was sharp and intelligent, and his incredible witt was no match for his desire to help others through social activism. He could be idealistic sometimes and also overthought things, which caused issues for him. He also tended to try and make himself seem more relaxed than he was and was good at masking his true emotions. However, he did not do this often. He was very a genuine person and as honest as he could be.

CHARACTER ARC:   Maher Jameel "MJ" Waseeb was born in Irbid, Jordan to a successful mother who was a pharmacist and a successful businessman. MJ's father, however, was very invested in his work at in organic chemistry. He and his family moved to America when he was offered a job in a lab called Magitorio. He did not make time for his son, so they had a strained relationship. MJ was always closer with his mother.
  Tragically, there was an accident at Magitorio involving radioactive material that killed MJ's father when MJ was in middle school. Due to that incident, he vowed never to get involved in Biology, but he decided to go into Journalism because Magitorio tried to cover up the incident.
  In college, MJ met a girl named Zara Hadid, whom he developed feelings for and later discovered was a spider-woman named Aqua Spindler. He realized that she was bitten by the same radioactive spider that his father had done work on.
  They worked together as partners, but eventually fell in love, and MJ asked her parents' permission to marry her. Zara declined the proposal, afraid that she would be putting MJ's life in danger, but she eventually caved when she realized that she couldn't stay away from him.
  Unfortunately, the day before their wedding, he was used as bait in a battle that Zara was having against one of her enemies, and he fell to his death.
