PERSONALITY AND CHARACTER ANALYSIS: Zeeya Fayez is a creative, loyal, and emotional individual. Despite sometimes wearing her heart on her sleeve, she is often stoic and difficult to read, which she occasionally uses to her advantage, especially during a physical fight. Though she has been trained to have control over her body and mind, her emotions tend to get the best of her. This typically leads to her being taken advantage of, allowing herself to be dragged into situations that she is not meant to be involved in, leaving herself vulnerable in dire situations, or the escalation of conflict on her part.
Her strong use of words and occasional sass are helpful sometimes, but most of the time they get her into trouble. She has a tendency to be gullible due to her intense emotions and sometimes sheltered life, but she is getting better at protecting herself and learning how to read people better. She is very protective of people whom she cares about and will do whatever it takes to keep them safe. Though she can sometimes be closed off, she is usually open to new relationships, wants to help people, and has a generally happy demeanor. Her core personality traits are her determination, her loyalty to her loved ones, and her creativity. Though Zeeya is still learning how to balance her mind and emotions, she is very intelligent and well-read.

CHARACTER ARC: Zeeya Fayez was born to a loving mother and a loving father, and she grew up close with her younger brother. She was always creative and lost herself in fiction. She began to use it as an escape in elementary school when she started being bullied relentlessly. She also had extreme difficulty in Math. Despite this, she worked hard and got better in Math, started to make friends, and even got awards for her grades in elementary school. Around the same age, she also began studying and practicing Tae Kwon Do. When she was in ninth grade, she stayed after school in the library to study and the electricity suddenly went out. This terrified her. Between the darkness and her fear, her hidden metahuman abilities were triggered, causing her to glow in the dark. She eventually learned what she was and kept it a secret from everyone she knew, including her family, trying to master her powers on her own, until her senior year of high school. One day, she was sitting with one of her best friends, Jong-Su Jung, at lunch in a public place. The reflection from a mirror in a shop nearby triggered her powers briefly enough for Jong-Su to catch. The light from her powers caused her to have a seizure shortly after, so he called an ambulance and her parents, all while keeping her powers a secret for her. He became her sidekick and helped her learn how to master her powers. He even designed special shades for her that help her block out just enough light from her powers so that she avoids having seizures. Eventually, she decided to use her powers occasionally when needed and became a local hero known as Solstice.
