CARA sat in her room, watching videos and confining herself from any social interactions. Like she always does.

Time passed like butterflies flying over a meadow. What a scene to see, butterflies flying over a meadow.

"Mom-" Cara was interrupted by the sound of glass breaking, a window breaking. She looked up from her phone, seeing a blasting hole in her window, the thin glass no match to the heavy brick that glided through.
The brick now laying on her orange rug, a piece of paper wrapped around it's front like a blanket, words scribbled at the top.

She got up from her bed, her legs shaking like crazy. Cara knelt down and took the piece of paper off the brick, reading the scribbled words.

HEY BEST FRIEND, I CAN'T WAIT TO SHOW YOU MY SURPRISE.

Creepy.

Another brick plunged through her window. Cara quickly ducked and fled to her closet, closing the door so no more bricks could possibly hurt her.

But no more flew her window.

"Hey," a small voice said.

She turned around, seeing a light distinguish over the lighter. When Cara got a clear view of the face, she screamed.
She screamed like she saw a stone cold killer, and she did.

In the girls hand, a knife was placed against her face. It stabbed through her stomach, blood pouring through.

Cara screamed once more before she shot up in her bed in a cold sweat.

"Only a dream," she told herself.

Cara turned to the side, hearing the creaking sound of the door opening. She saw who walked in, the same girl that hid in her closet with a flame and a weapon.

"Hey best friend, I can't wait to show you my surprise," the girl whispered as she inched toward Cara, the sweet tone in her voice only intensifying the demon in her eyes.

"Get away from me!" Cara yelled as she backed up against the headboard of her bed. "Please!"

The girl shushed her, showing that there was none to worry about, even though there was tons.
"Aw, baby, there's nothing to worry about, you're safe. They won't get you, I promise."

The only light in the room was the moonlight shining through her curtains. But that just made it even more scary.

"I'll keep you safe."

"Please," Cara begged once more. "Please, just leave me alone!"

She sat on the bed with Cara, trying to calm her down with singing and combing her hair with her fingers.

"You'll love my surprise, Cara. Just fall asleep and you'll get it. I promise."

The only reason Cara shut her eyes and sunk down into her bed was to wake from the dream; if it was a dream.

But the next thing she felt was the stabbing pain through her neck and then gasping for air.

Cara shot up in her bed once more, seeing no glass on the floor, her closet door shut and along with her bedroom door.
It was just the way she saw it in her first dream.

"Thank god. It was only a dream."
