"Lacey, is something wrong?" 

"What? Oh, everything's fine." 

"Is it because I changed the station? You can turn it back if you want." 

I turned it back to my station that it was always on and smiled, "That wasn't the reason" 

She shot glance towards me then back to the road, "So something is wrong. What happened in the woods?" 

I turned around in my seat and checked on Diablo, sleeping like a baby. Sighing, I turned back around and looked out the window. "Yeah. Dalton found a guy out there and he was all jumpy and serious. And no, I don't know who he was." 

"What did he look like, I might know him." 

Thinking back to the woods I realized how handsome the young man was. "Well... He had dark brown hair and I think he had blue eyes. Maybe brown." 

"Was he masculine? Tall, short? Come on Lace give me something to work with." 

I laughed at how girly she became in a matter of seconds. "Yes, he was masculine. And he was about the same height as Dalton. Umm..." 

She switched the radio back to her station just as 'Sorry' came on. Placing my hands over my ears, I yelled at her to turn it back. When I looked over at her she was wearing a victorious grin. I'll get you for this... "Not until you give me better details." 

"Fine, fine. Just turn that off. PLEASE." She did, "He was wearing tattered clothes. Actually... pants, he didn't have shirt on." 

She squealed, waking up Diablo who whined in protest. "Did he have abs?!" 

 I blushed as I thought back to the man shirtless. "I guess. OH! He had tattoos. The one I saw was a howling wolf on his chest." 

She grew quiet and looked at me. "JESUS BECKY! Are you trying to kill us! Watch the damn road!" Becky rolled her eyes and turned her attention back on the road. 

Ahead of us mom's car slowed and turned off onto a ramp, Becky slowed and followed them up. "What color was it?" 

"I don't know, a darker color." 

Dalton pulled away from the stop lights right before it turned to yellow. We slowed down even more until we stopped and watched as they drove off. 

I sighed and pulled out my phone, "I'll call them and tell them to wait for us somewhere." 

"Yes Lacey?" Her voice crackled through the speaker. 

"Hey could you guys stop for us somewhere, we got a red light." 

"Sure thing.......... We're pulling into a McDonald's about five miles west. Just keep going straight when you turn on." 

"Okay, see you soon." 

"Bye sweetie." 

"Bye." I hung up just as the light turned green. Becky pulled out, and Diablo started barking her head off.

-Faster! Hurry! A big thing is coming!

I turned around to tell Diablo to quiet down and as I did so I saw a semi barreling towards. Horns started honking and I screamed at Becky to step on it. 

She then saw the semi and indeed stepped on it.

A loud sound filled my ears as we suddenly spun out of control. We both screamed and some how Diablo managed to hop in the front seats without flying out the window. 

We came to an abrupt halt as the truck slammed into the side of a concrete wall
