 He took a sip of the liquid that he swore he would never have, but here he was looking down at the pictures that were in his hands, of him and her. Her name still had the capability to  send chills down his spine. Avni. His Avni. She became his addiction but when she left his new addiction had been Alcohol, taking his pain even if it was only for a few hours. 

His memory flashed... 

He found her and saved her, he made Ananya Verma Avni Ayesha, he gave her his own name, but as he sat here he felt that falling for her, giving her his heart and the capability to destroy  was a stupid move. He lived love through her, from day one he was drawn to her, he felt this strange type of  comfort with her that gave him a reason to wake up in the morning, he saw the fire furiously flicking in her eyes, he felt the storm that had been brewing her her heart.

He always was there for, he broke the walls of ice she had surrounded around her heart and made her his in front of the world confessing that he was so helplessly in love with her, that blazing fire that her Neela Ma was so concerned about consuming her alive he like water soothed down her flames, creating a fire of love within her rather than revenge. He was always by her side when she was in need of him, his arms always there to complete that void in her heart, to shelter from the outside world as a war raged on outside.

 "Neil" His heart clenched every time she had whispered his name, it flared up old memories, those lips that had slipped his name he wanted to kiss them and claim them as his own again just like he did a what feels like a life time before, to reassure her and himself that this moment, this life was still theirs.

She was planning to leave. Again. He told her he wanted her to leave and he understood that she didn't want to cause him anymore pain and was leaving. But deep down he knew he wasn't ready to let go of her. Not now not ever. He wanted to end his pain, he wanted to fall out of love with her, in order to end this chapter, she took a decision without him, she couldn't confined in him and that hurt.

He was pushing her away, something he was more used to receiving from her, he felt betrayed, was there a weakness in his love? Why was she unable to talk to him to try and find a solution? He had many questions but he wasn't going to let her explain, not yet...he wasn't ready for them; to listen the hidden truth. The amount of times he had put his life on the line for her just to feel her presence, just so his mind wouldn't forget her no one could understand that. But he ultimately understood her and her actions, she ran for his family, she was doing what she thought was the best way to save his family. But she ran. Away from everything. For Mishti, For his family, For justice and as much he tried to deny it he knew it was for him. But ten years. Was that right? How could she give such a hefty punishment? He felt stupid for wasting his time mourning for someone who was still alive. He hated her for taking his life with her. He hated her.

But ultimately he  still fucking loved her and he hated himself for it. She thought he hated her, he could see the pain in her eyes every time.  But there's a reason why his love is invisible, undetectable Due to the time they weren't  evolved enough to be trusted with it. They had tried  try to engineer it, alter it, use it, weaponize it in the past and it had failed. Aren't there always great reasons to do immoral acts? Or are they excuses to allow us to follow our more basic desire for dominance? Betrayal from her side was always the wrong route to escape fear and demons of her past that haunted her because of her insecurities. He knew the only way to understand love is to feel it, embody it, embrace it, and he had tried to teach her to do the same, she was always strong but in love she wasn't, he had tried so hard to teach her that the power of love will always be greater than any other and the keys to reality will only ever be given to true students of the only master. But he felt like he had fucking failed.

He held the glass to his lips savouring the taste. He wanted her. He still does, even after everything..her presence in his life was something that he needed, he was addicted to her and he always wanted more. But his cold behaviour had pushed her away, he overheard her conversation with Mithali, she wanted Mithali and him to start a new life together, she wanted him to give her space to Mithali. "Pagal ladki." He muttered, he loved her more than himself and  he knew  that those emotions of betrayal were slowly melting away,  he knew that his union with her was inevitable, even he himself can't stop it, he could hear his own soul crying out in desperation and he knew....

That it was time. it was time for him to listen to get answers and to try and save their tainted relationship. He was going home. Home to her. For now and always.

SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!! i thought i would try a one shot, i'm not all to pleased with it but i wish to hear your thoughts and what you think of this. i just heard this song and fell in love with it and watching Naamkaran recently i felt like it fit the situation perfectly. i think it could have been better written but oh well.
