Kayla was still a bit disturbed after the incident of last night. She took out her bike and started on her way to school. Kayla used to take the scenic route and pass under the shade of Nuttall Oak trees everyday. But today she just took the shortest, quickest road to the her destination. She just wanted to delve herself in studies to forget about everything. Science was her drug and e-books were her drug dealers.

She arrives at her school and quietly goes to her class 9.B just like her daily routine. Kayla doesn't want to attract the attention of anyone. After quietly traversing through the classroom, she sits and opens Physics. "Okay, let's see. A body is moving with the velocity of— Zandra!"
Zandra is walking towards her but somehow she manages to lose her balance and falls. Kayla runs up to her and helps her to stand up. The whole classroom is staring at them right now which is exactly what Kayla did not want.
Eventually the attention dissipates and they both sit next to each other.

"Where were you all day?!" Zandra complains "I texted you like a million times!"
"Wait wha-" Kayla takes out her Glassius and checks "Oh, seems I forgot"
"'SEEMS YOU FORGOT?!' Kayla I was worried sick!"
"There's no need to worry about me. I can take care of myself" Kayla says but eventually surrenders to Zandra's stare "Okay fine. I'll try to reply next time"

"You better. What kept you so busy that you couldn't even check?!"
"Ummmm nothing! It was absolutely nothing!"
"I don't believe you. There can't be 'nothing'. Were you on a date?"
"DATE?! Zandra!" Kayla is blushing "Where did that come from?!"
"I'm kidding! But your reaction was priceless!!" Zandra seems to be enjoying herself laughing
"Yeah. Did you do your homework?"
"Yep. I have it all done!" Zandra adds "I also did the Biomechanics problems!"

The floor under Kayla gave way. She went numb.
"What's the matter, Kayla?" Zandra asks
It was obvious. Kayla had forgotten to do the problems.
"Are you worrying about the Biomechanics problems? Don't worry!" Zandra explains "It's due next week anyway."

Kayla slowly recovered. The problems were due for next week but Zandra being the nerd she was, completed it soon before anyone else. The teacher Mr. Hanson soon entered the room as usual and the class started.

She couldn't seem to focus in class. Her mind was in another dimension. She thought about Ray and his shrinking inventions. Zandra noticed the strange change in the body language of Kayla.
She could clearly see the amount of focus in Kayla's eyes diminishing.

When the class was over, Zandra scooted her way over to Kayla's desk and inquired her behavior. Kayla denied everything and acted as if nothing was out of order. Zandra vowed to find out the reason behind Kayla's behavior.

Now, the most boring class of all time was starting. Kayla was already low on interest today but this class made it go all the way into negative. Zandra though was super interested, she waited patiently for it all day.
Mathematics was the only subject that Zandra was exceptionally good at.
She peeks over to Kayla and sees her.
Kayla is sleeping with opened eyes! What's happening around her is of no concern to her.

Being the good friend Zandra is, she tries to wake up Kayla by calling her name but it's of no use. Kayla is gone.

Inside Kayla's mind, she was using her imagination to fill the boredom.

Just then, a student calls out a spaceship flying straight towards their classroom. It is the size of a car and crashes through the windows. Everyone is able to evacuate safely including Kayla. But she goes back inside when no one is looking. The spaceship's cockpit opens emitting white colored smoke. The dust in combination with the smoke limits visibility to zero. Kayla is able to stumble her way towards the spaceship and she enters it. There is no one inside and Kayla has no idea what the baloney she is doing. Somehow, she knows fully well how to operate a spaceship. Kayla starts the engine and flies away from her school. It's all smooth flying from there on. She flies to the northern edge of the city then up into space. As she's nearing the ozone layer, the spaceship stops and opens it's cockpit. Kayla screams as she tries to hold on for her dear life. But she is not able to. She lets go and falls.

A faint voice is heard by Kayla as she shifts back into the real world. It's her teacher standing right in front of her, asking her to explain the method of solving this specific problem.
