Harrison was in his tent, sitting on his bed, a sad look on his face. His parents were still afraid of him...
Sometimes Harrison hated his powers. If only he didn't make his brother disappear...
He was still missing him, but until he knew how to control his abilities, he couldn't bring him back.
His parents made the whole ordeal even harder to cope with. He really didn't know how to control himself. They couldn't understand that.

Nerris, after saying goodbye to her parents, thought it would be good to check on the Magic kid, since she overheard what happened with Harrison.
After all, they grew to like eachother a lot since a few weeks. He was now in her party and she wasn't leaving anyone behind.
To Nerris, he was even more than a quest buddy. Maybe her best friend ? Or maybe something else...
She stopped her thoughts, she had arrived.

"Hello ? Harrison ?" She said, waiting outside his tent.

"Oh, Nerris. Come in !" A boy's voice responded.

Inside, Nerris saw Harrison, feeling down, on his bed. She felt sad, but was now decided to cheer him up.

"Hum, Harrison ?" She asked.

"Yes ?"

"Could you, uh, show me a trick ?"

"Really ? Of course !"

He rushed over to his hat, a smile now on his face.

"Now watch and be amazed !"

A bunny jumped out of Harrison's hat. He picked it up and put it back in it.

"Uno, dos-"

A small white cloud, and the bunny had vanished.

"-It disappeared without a tres !"

"Nice ! Where did it go ?"

"I uh, don't know actually..."

Nerris looked at Harrison with confusion.

《But... It's a trick, right ?
-No, it's magic !
-Like in, REAL magic ?
- Yes !》

She gasped. This is so cool ! She underestimated the kid. Usually she would have thought he was lame. But real magic ? Like a level 6 Wizard ? She was impressed.

"Can you make it reappear too ?"

Harrison's smile faded.

"No, and that's the problem..."

"Is that what your parents were talking about today ? About making your brother diseapper ? You can't bring him back ?"

The boy sighed. Nerris will probably be afraid of him for the rest of the summer, but he bad to tell the truth.

"Yes. The thing is, I have close to no control over most of my abilities. The only thing that I do control is my pyrokynesis. Otherwise I would have burned the whole camp by accident."

Nerris' eyes grew wide. She couldn't believe Harrison was this dangerous. He was still, to her, that innocent and nice boy she grew to not hate so much, and even like, at Camp Campbell.

Harrison spoke.

"Now, I'd understand if you didn't want to be near me again. I'm nefarious and-"

"Are you kidding ? I thought you knew that for me, even cursed, my party is still my party. Effects don't last forever."

"But-"

"Not buts."

She smiled.

"For what it's worth..."

She gave him a light peck on the cheek, surprising Harrison in the process.

"I think you are great, even with a curse."

Still smiling, she exited the tent, leaving Harrison alone.
The boy touched his cheek where the elf kin just kissed him.

A small blush lit his face.

"If I'm cursed, then you're a blessing."
