A: hello

N: madam kahan hain aap. Mujhe receive karne bhi nhi aayi na tu.

A:I'm sorry Neil. But I was busy planning the special surprise for you.

N: Surprise....Aur vo bhi special.... Upar se mere liye...
Pyaar vyaar to nhi ho gya na tujhe.

A: Bas kuch aisa hi samajh lo...

His heart again skipped a beat after 2 months after listening to her statement.

N: Kya MATLAB?
He asked with a little hope in his voice.

A: Matlab janne ke liye aapko humari special place pe milna hoga mujhe. That too in half an hour. I just can't wait to tell you.
She said the last line in a shy tone.

N(to himself): God! Avu is shy. I cannot wait anymore I really need to be there. I want to listen to her feelings...

N: Avu, I'm just coming. Bye

A:Come soon...bye .

Call ended

He ended the call and informed his family that he was going to meet Avni.
On hearing this, everyone gave an assuring smile except Shweta. Her expressions were full of worry. In his excitement Neil did not notice his mother's worrysome face.

He left for THE SPECIAL PLACE. It was his and Avni's secret spot that none knew about. It was a mountain cliff. The peaceful atmosphere and calmness was something that attracted both of them to it.

He reached the cliff. On reaching there, first he took a deep breath. Only he knew, how he was able to concentrate on the road with his heart thumping louder and louder as he got close to his destination.

He got out of the car. He saw Avni standing on the farther end of the cliff with her back facing him. He called out her name loudly so that she could know that he's there.
She turned with a wide smile spread across her face. She looked so happy. She ran towards him.

A: Neil! Finally you're back. You know how much I missed my best friend in these 2
months.

Neil was about to say something but Avni didn't let him speak.

A: You know what Neil, after the day you left for Thailand I used to fell so lonely. You know you're my only friend. In your absence I realized, how important it is for someone to be around you always. How important is the presence of a person in your life who just cares for you, pampers you, spoils you.
I just realized all of this after you left.

She said with sincerity in her eyes looking deeply into those Hazel orbs of his.

Neil was just taken aback with such a sincere confession of hers.
He was so happy. His happiness knew no bounds.
Just then she continued,

A: I realized all these things Neil and I also realized that it is LOVE!.

Neil was looking deeply into her doe shaped eyes with his glistened eyes.

A: And guess what all this happened in a mere period  of 2 months. I just can't believe it.(Excitement visible in her voice).
We came so close. Who thought THE ROHAN NANDA whom we met an year ago would become and indispensable part of my life in these 2 months. Also, we're getting married after 2 weeks.

Neil's world came to crashing. He could feel his heart ache. It felt as if someone had shown him bright light in a dark room and then just switched it off suddenly leaving no hope for the light to return.

He stood there motionless. He controlled his urge to cry and hug the girl in front of him telling her how much hurt he was. He noticed the blush on her face when she mentioned his name. He realized it was TOO LATE for him to say something. But he had to react. He needed to act normal in front of her.

N: So he's the lucky one. You never hid anything from me Avu then why now?

A: Because I wanted to surprise you.

Little did she knew her surprise had broken her only friend's heart.

N: Congratulations Avu.
He said halfheartedly and went forward to hug her. Only to find her stepping back.

A: Neil....vo...actually...
She said hesitatingly only to be cut-off by Neil.

N: Cause its only Rohan's right now.
A lone tear escaped his eyes but he wiped it off before Avni could notice it.

A: Hmmm....
She said blushingly.

N: Tu to kehti thi ke meri shaadi ho jane ke baad bhi tera mujhpar haq rahega. Aur Ab tu khud mujhse mera haq cheen rahi hai.
( He said in a broken voice).

Avni's expressions changed from shyness to seriousness.
Neil noticed it and realized what he said.

N: Avu, main mazaak kar rha tha.
Even after being all the more broken, he could not afford to hurt Avni

A:  Thank God!! Tune to mujhe darra diya tha.
She said smiling.

A: Chal we'll go for coffee.

Knowing that he won't be able to control himself for longer in front of her, he thought that it would be best to go back home.

N: Avu, I'm tired from the journey. I'll prefer going home and taking some rest.Bye.

He left without waiting for her reply. She was a little confused at his behavior. But shrugged off her thoughts assuming it just to be jet lag.
