Next day. ......

Neil POV: Aaj main saari problem solve kar dunga. You know what Avu, tu meri life ka best part hai. I'll make sure that your dreams are accomplished even if I'm not a part of them.

Then only he heard a knock on the window of his car. He looked out. It was shweta.

Shweta: Ab tak andar kyun baitha hai? Chal function start ho chuka hai.

Neil: Haan mom.

Shweta: Tillu, you're sure you want to attend this function?

Neil: Of course.
He says and gets out of the car and kisses her on the cheek.

Neil: Stop worrying, Mumma. I'm totally fine. You go inside, I'll come in a while.

Shweta gave a confused look.

Neil: Zyada mat socho. I need to talk to ashish uncle regarding an important deal.

Shweta: You and your work. Uff....

He walked towards Ashish who was standing on the gate receiving guests.

He went up to him and told him about his plan to convince Rohan's parents.

Ashish: Are you sure this plan will work? What if they get offended?

Neil: Do you trust me?

Ashish: When it comes to Avni you are the first person whom I can trust blindly.
He said smiling.

Neil smiled back.
Neil: Don't worry uncle. I'll make them understand in  a very polite way.

Inside Mehta house. .

Neil entered through the main door of the house. He walked straight and got lost in the beauty of the most amazing girl in his life, sitting on the stage smiling a shy smile.

Then his eyes went to her right. He saw Rohan whispering something into her ears and in response Avni blushed hard.

He came back to reality. He had no right to look at someone's to-be-wife, the way he was looking at Avni. But Avni's captivating smile and enthralling beauty did no good to him.

He shrugged off his thoughts and mentally chided himself for not being able to control his feelings.

Then he went upto Rohans parents who were sitting on the grand couch in front of the stage and were being served food and drinks in quantities enough to serve all the guests present in the function.

He greeted them and sat next to them. He told them he wanted to talk to them privately. First Rohans parents were confused and then they agreed. The three of them proceeded towards the garden area.

Avni was watching all this sitting on the stage but could not make out a single word they spoke. She was confused when she watched them walking outside towards the garden.

She silently stood up and went outside.

She was standing near one of the pillars.
She could still not listen to their conversation but could see their faces and note their expressions.

Avni saw Neil taking out some papers from the inside pocket of his coat. He showed the papers to her to-be in laws. They read the documents and their faces were having  confused+shocking expressions.

She was very tensed as to what was happening over there.
She was feeling the urge to go there and ask them. But she decided against it. Afterall they are her in laws. She didn't want to give them the impression of a being a typical Hindi serial bahu who does nothing but the task  of stealthily listening to all the conversations taking place in the house.

She left from there.

Rohans parents read the full documents and then smiled at Neil. They had no problem with the deal. Neil also smiled back and shook hands with Mr Nanda.

The deal stated that Avni's share will belong to her husband but Avni will have all the decision making authority regarding the business. Also, in case, Avni and Rohan head for a divorce the shares will automatically again be shifted to Avni's name.

Neil was happy that his plan worked and Avni's dream and future both was secured. He told all this to Ashish who was elated to hear this news and proud of her daughter to have found herself such an understanding and dedicated friend.

On the other hand, Avni was hell confused. Rohans word were ringing in her ears. Maybe she should be careful. Neil's behavior was also weird these days. Even Rohans mamaji, Mr Ahuja, asked her to beware of Neil and his obsessive nature for her.
The seed of doubt sown into her mind had started to sprout. She had double thoughts regarding Neil.
She decided not to say anything or ask him, in case her doubt was wrong it would affect their friendship.
