Why do people call it "edgy" when people want to vent? 

Also, I hate when people say only people with terrible lives have depression

Like my mom

My friend was going to kill himself, but I talked him out of it. My mom saw and said "why are kids depressed nowaday. Kids in Africa have it worst. " 

THE THING IS, I KNOW!

But at the same time mom, you don't understand.

You don't understand depression one bit, do you? 

I can tell since you don't understand how damaging the words "Kill yourself" is.

One day we were driving to my dads and she goes "So how do you want to end it all? How do you want to kill yourself?"

The reason why she asked was that "You seemed so depressed nowadays"

THAT DOES NOT GIVE YOU ANY DAMN RIGHT TO ASK HOW ONE DESIRES TO END THEIR OWN WELL BEING! How can I call you my mother when I damn well know to not tell others to end their lives when they are SO much younger than me. ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE MY OWN CHILD!

This is why I don't consider her my mother.
