" It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men."

- Frederick Douglass

(Five Days Later: Paris, France)

In the early evening hours, Carol and Amnon spent preparing and cooking dinner in the kitchen. The ancient blue skinned man was peacefully meditating and hovering above the living room floor where he remained. Suddenly, he got distracted by the attractive aroma of food from the kitchen coming to his nose. Methu-Selah continued smelling and smiling when his stomach loudly gurgled. Slowly opening his right eye with his left eye closed, the Kree Eternal paused his levitating meditation, carefully descended on the floor, and managed to stand up. Peeking from the kitchen doorway, he saw and heard the mother and son conversing and busying themselves for their meal.

" Gladly, it wasn't a mistake to reunite with my son, " Methu-Selah thought as he smiled and sighed in relief.

He didn't want to interfere with their kitchen business when he sat down on the sofa and picked up a French lifestyle and household magazine from several decades ago. Browsing its pages, Methu-Selah caught his attention, saw an image of the father and son, and intently read a parenting article which he became interested in. He was skimming the words and understanding of how to become a loving and responsible father to a child. Then, he looked with concern at Amnon from a distance.

" I have to make up for my missing years with him before my time is up, " he anxiously thought and sighed. " I wish to tell Amnon that I am his real father and let him know that he is my son all throughout. I am afraid he might get mad at me. I'd better take it slowly by implying to him how it is like to be his father. Perhaps, this will make him feel better than before. I hope he will understand. "

Suddenly, the young blonde pink Kree carefully held a bowl of salad and took it to the dinner table. Amnon noticed his blue skinned father and smiled.

" You hungry, master? " the young Kree man curiously asked, after placing the bowl on the table.

" Yes, that wondrous smell of food had attracted my senses, " Methu-Selah replied and smiled back, placing his magazine on his lap. " I assume it will be very delicious and scrumptious since you and your mother have prepared. "

" Well, you'd better prepare to satisfy your appetite with cosmic proportions! " Amnon joked and chuckled at his father.

" Heh, really?! I would definitely ingest more! "

The Kree Eternal left the magazine on the table and stood up when he helped his family to set the table for dinner. Moments later, they were eating meals together and enjoying them. Methu-Selah, Carol, and Amnon carefully chewed and ingested some slices of lamb chops, pieces of salad, and a spoonful of mashed potatoes. The elderly blonde half-Kree woman planned to bring up a conversation to her family, composing her thoughts before speaking up. She finished intaking and drank her cold glass of water.

" So, I'm thinking of you are gonna have a boys' day out tomorrow, " she broke her silence.

" Well, Master told me of that a few days ago after my training and individual therapy sessions with Dr. Schnee, " Amnon replied. " I'm supposed to go along with Chandresh and Arnav tomorrow, but they're assigned to check on the survivors. "

" That's all right. Amnon deserves to have more time with me, " the Kree Eternal added. " I will have combat training with him. "

" So, you're gonna teach me more? "

" Exactly, son. I will be your trainer every Saturday. "

" Sounds great for the both of you, " Carol nodded and smiled back at the two men.

" Before we start tomorrow, do you have any plans, Amnon? " his father curiously asked.

Amnon thought deeply when he took a bite and crunched his lettuce and tomatoes from his fork. He remembered that he needed to finish his few written reports before next week. Before dinner, the pink Kree was composing and scribbling some notes from what he had learned throughout the session. This time, he had to finalize it and made sure he would not be cramming for the rest of his weekends, spending more time with his family and attending the group therapy.

" Just need to write one more paragraph tonight, " Amnon broke his silence after chewing and swallowing his meal and drinking his glass of water. " It will serve as my completion for my training. "

" It looks like you're determined to be part of the Rebel Forces and the MTF, " his mother smiled. " You could be a good intel in the future. "

" Mom, I'm just trying my best to get it done and starting the way I had done before, " he said. " Not so sure if I could continue this when the long invasion is over. "

" Perhaps, we'll talk it over very soon. Make sure you drink your medications before you sleep. Understand? "

" Yes, mom. "

Amnon finished his plate and took out his anti-depressant pill from the bottle, ingesting it to his mouth and drinking his glass of water to be followed. He instantly stood up from his seat and took his empty dish and utensils, bringing them into the kitchen sink. He was washing the dishes while his parents ate and conversed. Moments later, he finished doing his part and left the kitchen. Carol and Methu-Selah noticed him coming and paused their conversation.

" Kid, you're not supposed to..." the elderly half-Kree woman hesitantly spoke.

"...Wash the dishes? " Amnon continued the thought and curiously raised his voice, shrugging. " I've just done it. "

" Carol, it's all right, " the ancient blue Kree chuckled. " Amnon used to do some chores with you back in Rouen. It has become his habit since he's recovering. "

" Mom, it's okay, " the young pink Kree grinned. " At least you and the master will get less dishes to wash. Anyways, I'm heading off to write more before I shut my eyes. Goodnight, guys! "

" Have a good sleep, son, " his father smiled and greeted Amnon.

" Goodnight, Kid, " his mother added and watched him going upstairs.

Methu-Selah had let out a deep sigh after he finished his meal and drank his glass of water. He was contemplating telling his son the truth and remaining close-mouthed. Carol noticed her boyfriend's silence and looked at him with concern. She gently placed her hand and held his right.

" You seem too restless. Is it about you and Amnon? " she curiously asked.

" Yes, I can't reveal myself as his real father, " the Kree Eternal said sadly. " I knew he had been longing to search and meet me for a couple of decades. "

" Why are you so bothered? "

" I have a vision that he might forsake me for not being with him for several years. I'd rather let him discover once I passed on."

Carol nodded and understood what he meant. She knew that she had never told her son about the truth around two to three years ago which she thought of the same way.

" I felt the same way too, Methie, " she calmly spoke. " I remembered those days when I was watching him peacefully sleeping. I was too troubled in telling him the truth about you and this Project Marvel. Amnon may be young to hear this, but there will come a time he's gonna be searching for truths. "

" I understood, " the Kree Eternal replied. " I'm implying to him as his father, but now is not yet the right time to explicitly tell him. "

" Well, I know you can do it for sure. "

(THE NEXT DAY)

Amnon woke up early in the morning when an alarm clock rang around 6:00. He punched it to make the loud noise instantly cease. He was moaning and grumbling when he tried to get more slumber. His eyes couldn't close for the bright sun rays had kissed his face and greeted him. The blonde pink Kree sat up on his bed and stretched his both arms, loudly yawning like a lion. Amnon headed outside his room and carefully tiptoed through the flat's second floor hallway. Looking at the room, he saw his mother who was still slumbering on her bed. The Kree never thought of waking her up and noticed the other room where his father was not present.

" He might be somewhere else, " Amnon thought. " Perhaps, he's at the roofdeck. "

He headed upstairs, going to the roofdeck. The bright yellow clouds had shown up in the baby blue horizon when the sun began to greet the Earth. At this moment, Amnon saw his father peacefully levitating and meditating. The young pink Kree curiously tilted his head and waited for him to get noticed.

" How long is he up here? " he queried to himself. " Master has been so peaceful at this time. I'd better let him be, not disturbing him. "

" It's all right, son! Don't hesitate to join me this morning! " his father happily beamed and laughed while his eyes were closed.

" Master?! " Amnon exclaimed in shock. " How did you..."

" My Kree Cosmic Awareness helped me to predict and sense you coming! "

" Right, right. Shall I join you? "

" Of course, my boy! " he smiled. " Take a seat on the ground. "

Amnon nodded no furiously and sat on the roof top's ground when he crossed his both legs, imitating his father's position. He curiously looked at the Kree Eternal calmly ascending two meters from the ground.

" Son, I know you cannot imitate my ability, " Methu-Selah broke his silence and reminded his son. " All you have to do is to close your eyes and take a deep breath. "

Amnon followed his father's instructions when he instantly closed his eyes and began inhaling and exhaling. It was his first time to do such meditation along with the ancient Kree.

" Keep inhaling and exhaling. Free your mind from all of your worries and negativities. Picture yourself in a very peaceful place in the universe. "

The pink Kree's mind spent concentrating himself in this meditative state. He saw and heard some gloomy flashbacks of his Kree-Lizard hybrid past which he never wanted to revive. In the physical world, Amnon grimaced while closing his eyes. He was struggling to break free from those sad and skirmish yesterdays recurred in his mind. Methu-Selah used his Kree Cosmic Awareness and secretly read the young man's mind.

" Master, it's too hard to imagine myself finding a peaceful place, " Amnon angrily muttered. " All I see here is those memories that I want to forget. "

" Focus, Amnon-Selah, Focus..."

Amnon took more deep breaths and focused himself in meditating. Inside his mind, he was being chased by his past detractors from his memories around the dark tunnel. The pink Kree kept running away from them and reached the bright end of it. He got blinded from it when he was approaching from it. Finally, he ended up floating and flying around interstellar space. Amnon turned his head around and noticed his long-time enemies had vanished. He was happily roaming around the stars and weeping for joy in seeing them. In the real world, he was silently tearing and smiling as he attained his peaceful state.

" Master, I found it! " he cheerfully exclaimed. " I have escaped from darkness and reached the starry blanket of space! This is so wonderful! Thank you! "

" I know you can do it, son. You found your happy place. Just keep your focus and relax, " Methu-Selah sincerely smiled and watched his son in his meditation. He opened his eyes and instantly descended to the ground. " I shall let you be and call you for breakfast, later on. "

The Kree Eternal left his son focusing and meditating which he sensed Carol woke up. After eating the breakfast, Methu-Selah and his son returned to the rooftop where they had meditated earlier. Preparing and warming up himself, Amnon waited for his father to train him.

" So, I'll just give you a refresher for your hand-to-hand combat skills, " Methu-Selah said and positioned both of his hands to attack. " What will you do if your attacker gets you in the way? "

" Is this a fight or flight reaction? " Amnon curiously asked and made his defensive stance.

" You choose. "

" Fight. "

" You will just face this one, " the Kree Eternal answered and began to make an uppercut jab to his son.

Confronting his father's strike, Amnon quickly side-stepped it and thought of counteracting the attack. The pink Kree instantly grabbed his blue skinned parent's left forearm and grinned at him. He was about to punch the Kree Eternal's gut, but his father tightly grabbed his right arm. Amnon widened his eyes in shock and nervously chuckled.

" I almost..." he paused.

" Nice trick, Amnon-Selah. But you can do better than that! "

Methu-Selah gave his son a low-kick as he took it easy on him. Then, Amnon stumbled down and managed to stand up. Remembering his training with Peter Parker or Spider-Man, Amnon thought of giving an easy retaliation to his father and rushed towards him, making a blow to the Kree Eternal's gut. His father also stumbled and fell on the rooftop's floor. Amnon had a sweat bead on his face and nervously chuckled.

" Oops! " the blonde man commented. " Sorry... I didn't mean..."

" You've just made an effective strike, son! Great job! "

Methu-Selah made a barrage of punches when Amnon kept evading. He found his father too fast to deal and respond to his attacks. Suddenly, the pink Kree intentionally tripped and slid himself below the old blue man. Then, he managed to stand up and gave his father a blow on his face. The Kree Eternal smiled and thought of retaliating against his son, but he was not using his powers. Instead, he instantly grabbed his son's forearm as Amnon couldn't resist from his father's strong grip. Finally, he thought of another attack by pushing and tackling him down on the ground. Methu-Selah fell down when his son did his retaliation.

" Good game, son! Not bad for a long-time Rebel Forces member, " he commented when his son helped him to stand up.

" Master, I'm sorry if we push this too far, " Amnon heavily sighed.

" Amnon, you have potential. There's no need to apologize, " Methu-Selah sincerely smiled and gently patted his son's head. " You reminded me of my young Kree Army days. You're very clever to do combat, but still you need to master those. "

" Oh, okay. Thanks! " his son smiled back. " I guess I'll be looking forward to having this every Saturday. "

" Sounds more like it, son. Come on, let's go back and do some chores. "

" Got it. "

As the days progressed, Methu-Selah and his son continued doing combat training sessions every Saturday morning. The Kree Eternal had to make sure that Amnon would focus and improve his skills when it came to fighting and defending. His father knew how he had improved and learned which he spent teaching and coaching his son. Aside from the morning combat training, Amnon began to learn the Kree language from his father. At first, he was baffled and confused in how to speak, read, and write this unearthly language and writings. Methu-Selah remained very patient and calm in teaching his son. Amnon spent time practicing with his parents so he could get used to it when he would visit planet Hala in the future.

Juggling his time with his final training days of his MTF and Rebel Forces initiation, the Sunday Group Therapy session and other relevant things, Amnon had to study hard and prepare for his exams which his father had tutored him, in order for him to pass. Methu-Selah had to make sure that his son could gain more learning than before. On the day of the exam, Amnon asked his parents to wait for him to finish as they wished him success to pass it. After the exam, the pink Kree passed and received the results. He was jumping for joy and hugging his parents. Finally, he was now a full-pledge agent of the united forces and waiting for any announcements from his superiors.

More days had passed, Methu-Selah and Amnon had developed their father and son bond which they had spent time with each other. As a father, the Kree Eternal was still teaching and training him. His son was very grateful and obedient. Although there were some disagreements among the two, Carol was there to settle and reunite them. For Amnon, he had learned so much from Methu-Selah and enjoyed his company. Aside from combat training and learning the Kree language, the young blonde man spent time playing games, conversations, and French road trips with his father which he had never done before. They occasionally did those, since the family avoided being spotted by their enemies. Despite so many things with him, Amnon was still pondering who and where his real father was. Then, he also thought of the Kree Eternal's missing son who had been for ages.

This time, the young pink Kree was calmly meditating on the rooftop and under the dark and nebulous starry sky. He relaxed and focused himself to picture a peaceful state in his mind. Without any knowledge, his father also sat on the ground with him and waited for his son's attention. Amnon gradually opened his eyes, noticed and smiled at him.

" How were you doing? " Methu-Selah curiously asked.

" I'm doing better than before, master, " Amnon sincerely replied as he stood up along with the Kree Eternal. " Thank you for keeping me normal and guiding me your ways. I would like to thank mom, too. I have not reached this status for several days. Without you both, I could have been the most problematic person on this planet. "

" Son, please don't say that to yourself. You have gone a long way from the beginning. Now, you're truly improving and gradually attaining what you really want in life. If you are still burdened, your mother and I are there for you to help. "

" Many thanks to you, master, " the pink Kree replied and carefully placed his right arm to his father as Methu-Selah did the same thing to see his son.

" You're absolutely welcome, my boy, " the ancient Kree father grinned at him. " I am very proud and so happy to be with you and your mother. Just like you, I have been longing to have a family. "

" Really?! How come? Have you found your missing son? Master, I'm really sorry I have never seen and searched for him from the span of days into three months. I have been so busy with..."

Methu-Selah said nothing and instantly hugged his son, silently weeping for joy. Amnon was surprised as he couldn't comprehend his father's feelings. He curiously tilted his head and had no choice, but to hug him back.

" Master? Why are you hugging me? Is there something to what I have said? " Amnon doubtfully asked.

" Nothing, Amnon. Nothing. I have found him. It took so many years to be with him."
