End of A/N

I stirred slightly in my sleep, but otherwise I settled back down to sleep. In a peaceful sleep for once. Dreaming with no nightmares in what seemed like forever.

As I spun around and around, I screamed, "Faster, faster, Daddy!" Even if he was going very fast.
But my Father still granted my wish, and ran around the tree even quicker still. I swear it seemed almost like he was using magic or a mystical being, because he was running so swiftly. In fact, it looked like he was basically flying across the ground. Spinning around and around the tree that my swing was connected to.
And he laughed as he did so. "I can only go so fast, Levin! I'm only human!"
I laughed as he chuckled. "Wee!" I yelled in excitement, loving the feeling of the air whooshing through my feet and all around me.

Out of blue, something changed. It was as if the person or thing that was making the dreams all so sweet, suddenly disappeared. And fear and pain replaced it.
I twisted as turned in my sleep and my dreams turned into nightmares.

But that was as much happiness I got before it all went wrong, and for the worst.
Without warning, my swing halted in it spinning. It just rocking back and forth now.
'Must be taking a short break,' I thought. Well, that's what I had thought before I heard someone gagging, wrenching. And I turned to see my Father on the ground, coughing up blood.
"Dad!" I screamed, alarmed and terrified. I was in the middle of running towards him, when he yell at me to stay back without raising his head. I temporarily halted in my pursuit. "But, Da—"
"No! Stay back!" This time he lifted his head. I gasped at what I saw. His eyes were pearl white and they appeared to be bleeding. Also, my Father's skin color disappeared, seemingly washed away—his veins were completely visible under that deadly pale skin. It's chalk white; like someone took a eraser and erased all of the color from his skin.
"Dad?" I asked, cautiously. Moving ever so slowly towards him.
But my Father somehow saw it. "No! Don't go near me!" this time he was pleading me not to come anywhere near him. And it caused me to stop right where I am—some feet away from him.
"What's happening to you, papa?"
My Pa's face changed in a instant. From kindness to cruelty; caring to fearful; merciful to merciless; good to bad.
A wicked smirk spread cover my Father's features. "Who saids I'm your papa?" And standing before me was the brute who held me captive. I screamed at the top of my lungs.

I woke up, lunging upwards when the chains caught me—screaming my head off, sweating like a pig.
I heard someone chuckled. More rather someone—not sure if it is considered a person—I rather hate, chuckled. "Like the dream I sent you, huh?"
I raised my head to glare at him. "I was, but then you had to go and ruin it," I snarled.
"Feisty today, are we?" The monster mocked me.
I swear, if that thing didn't have its mask on, I would be able to see the creature smirking so wide that it would need poles to help it stay up straight and not tumble over and fall. But, it did. At least I wouldn't have to see its face.
"Have you known me to be anything but?" I snapped.
"How true." A mere second later the beast tilted its head to the side and it froze as if listening to something. What my captor my be listening to, I have no clue. But before I could make a snappy comment about it, my torturer said, "I must be going." And it left without saying another word—without even giving the order to have me beaten for being smart mouthy—leaving me to ponder why it had left all of the sudden.
