Yza grabbed a carton of milk from the fridge and placed it into his shopping basket, while crossing out the word on the shopping list he brought.
"Damn machine..." Ryuzaki slammed the machine hardly as the can of drink he was trying to get was stuck halfway of coming out. Yza looked over as the employee exclaimed,
"EY, EY, what are you doing?!"

Yza tossed Ryuzaki the can.
"Didn't expect to see you again." He laughed.
"Thanks for that." Ryuzaki said, slightly embarrassed, cheek flushed a light red.
"No problem." Yza said as he walked away. They were back outside, and Yza threw the can to him near the waterfall outside.
"Hey, aren't you Yza Blade? The pervert that faced off against Payic?" Ryuzaki asked suddenly. Yza stopped and looked at him.
"Yeah, of course." He smirked.
"I know her. She said the only way she didn't go apeshit mad was because she imagined I was there." He snickered.
"I'm guessing your a pervert aswell." Yza looked at Ryuzaki.
"Aren't most teenage boys our age are? The only person I can think off is our beefy friend, Maverick. He only cares about sport and hittin' the gym." Ryuzaki laughed. Yza looked at him slightly spooked.
"Yeah... I also have a friend that's beefy and into sports. His name is Shika." Yza replied, getting slightly scared now. "Is he my doppelganger? Couldn't be... He looks nothing like me. Yet... He's similiar to me in so many ways..." He thought, tension was filled in the air, and sweat dropped from Yza's cheek, hitting the cold stone ground. He tightened his fist and his nails digged into the palm of his hand, along with his blue bag he carried.
"Huh, interesting. Don't happen to have a hot girl by yourside that is a friend of yours?" Ryuzaki asked.
"Yes... She's my girlfriend, actually." Yza said, slowly and cautiously, having slight difficulty talking as he rubbed around his neck. "...dammit..."
"How long did it take her too break? I still haven't cracked mine yet." Ryuzaki laughed.
"Actually, she asked me." Yza sweatdropped.
"WHAT?!" Ryuzaki exclaimed.
"Yeah, is there something-" Yza said as Ryuzaki shook Yza.
"YOUR SUPPOSED TO BE TOP DOG! YOUR SUPPOSED TO ASK HER OUT!! C'MON DUDE!!" Ryuzaki exclaimed.
"T-h-e-n w-w-h-y d-d-i-d-n-n't y-o-o-u a-s-s-k y-y-o-u-r-r's?" Yza asked as he was being shook as Ryuzaki stopped.
"Actually, why haven't I asked Payic out yet..." Ryuzaki mumbled.
"Wait, she's your chick?" Yza said surprised. "HOLY SHIT!!" He thought.
"Yeah, I guess you could say that." Ryuzaki replied with a smirk. "So, you play Vanguard, right? I'm Ryuzaki Mikazuchi, I know who you are, Yza Blade."
"Yes, I do." Yza pulled out his deck. "I play Shadow Paladin."
"Gear Chronicle." Ryuzaki pulled out his deck.
"Shadow Paladin vs Gear Chronicle, huh..." Yza smirked. "Let's do this!"
"Stand up (the!) Vanguard!" They exclaimed in unison.
"Dragprince, Rute!" Yza declared, vanguard circle expanding purple.
"Chrono Dran G!" Ryuzaki exclaimed, vanguard circle expanding red. "Stand and draw, ride, Jackal, G moves back and end."

"Pass." Yza replied.

"No guard." Yza grinned. "Damage! (Dragwizard, Morfessa)"
"Vanguard! (9000)" Ryuzaki exclaimed.
"No guard aswell!" Yza replied.
"Drive check! (Chronovolley Rabbit) Lucky me, a critical. Everything to vanguard! (9000 > 14000/1★ > 2★)" Ryuzaki smirked.
"Damn... Damage! (Dead Crush Dragon, Blaster Dark "Diablo")" Yza gritted his teeth.
"Turn end." Ryuzaki smirked in victory.

"Guard with Speedy! (9000 > 19000)" Ryuzaki smirked.
"Liafail! (9000 > 14000)" Yza exclaimed.
"No guard." He replied.
"Drive check!! (Dragheart, Luard)" Yza sighed. "Nothin'."
"Damage check. (Chronofang Tiger G)" Ryuzaki smiled simply.
"Turn end." Yza replied.

"Stand and draw. Lead this dead land into it's perfect future! Ride, my avatar! Chronojet Dragon G!" Ryuzaki smirked as the vanguard circle expanded red-purple.

The infamous Chronojet Dragon G appeared in red-purple light as he looked at Morfessa.
"Alright, let's make you go down to tge depths of no return! Lugal-ure!" He exclaimed. Lugal charged in as Kahedin stopped him. Chronojet flew in and sucker punched Morfessa.

"Twin Drive!! (Steam Maiden, Arlim, Chronotherapy Hamster) Heal... Wasted." Ryuzaki sighed.
"Damage! (Dragwizard, Knies)" Yza gritted his teeth.
"Turn end." Ryuzaki chuckled.

A blonde haired wizard with a braid over his shoulder appeared. His arm wasn't elf, but rather scaly and light red, with yellow protrusions that gave it a dragon feel.
"Feel the suffering of great dragon mages!"

"Generation, Stride! The meat-eating, self-devouring, dark dragon himself... Dark Dragon, Carnivore Dragon!" Yza grinned. "Stride skill! Counterblast and retire Rute! Superior call from deck, Swordbreaker and Abyssal Owl! Skill of Rute! Counterblast and into soul! Debi gets 5k! (9000 > 14000) Then, Swordbreaker's skill! Soulblast Owl! Draw a card! Then, I use Howl Owl's skill to put him into soul! Add 3k to Debi! (14000 > 17000) Call, Knies and use Carnivore's skill! Devour, Owl! I countercharge using Owl's skill and you have to retire two!" Yza exclaimed. Ryuzaki removed both from the board.
"Dammit."
"Then, Debi with a boost from Knies attacks! (17000 > 24000)" Yza exclaimed.
"Generation Guard! Retroactive Time Maiden, Uluru! Skill, return Therapy and Dran to deck and add 5k! (11000 > 26000 > 31000)" Ryuzaki exclaimed.
"Skill of Knies, counterblast and retire Debi, I draw a card. Vanguard! (26000 > 32000)" Yza exclaimed with passion.
"No guard." Ryuzaki said as he bit his lip.
"Triple Drive!!" Yza flipped three cards face up. (Pitch Black Sage, Charon, Howl Owl, Dragsaver, Esras) Draw! Power to vanguard and draw. (32000 > 37000)" Yza grinned.
"Damage check! (Chronocharge Unicorn)" Ryuzaki sighed.
"End." He said.

Call, Jackal and Buffalo! Skill of Split, counterblast and return Buffalo to deck, call two Chronocharge Unicorns! Skill, add 3k to Lugal and Jackal! (9000 > 12000) (7000 > 10000) Then, with a boost from Unicorn, Jackal! His skill, add 4k! (10000 > 14000 > 20000)" Ryuzaki exclaimed.
"Guard with Dead Crush! (11000 > 21000)" Yza gritted his teeth.
"The vanguard!! (26000)" Ryuzaki exclaimed.
"Esras, protect me!!" Yza exclaimed as he slammed a card onto the guardian circle.
"Triple Drive!! (Pulsar Tamer, Lugal-ure, Chronojet Dragon G, Chronofang Tiger G)" Ryuzaki gritted his teeth. "Lugal with a boost from Unicorn! (12000 > 14000 > 20000)"
"Generation Guard, Ludvik!! (11000 > 26000)" Yza exclaimed.
"Turn end." Ryuzaki sighed.

Legends of the one that freed Shadow Paladin! Spread your mighty wings and soar into the heavens! Generation Transcend!! Dark Dragon, Spectral Blaster "Diablo" Stride!!" The vanguard circle expanded pitch black as he smirked.

Spectral Blaster appeared in a burst of black flames and energy, shackles chaining him, only to be broken shortly after.

"Stride skill, counterblast and retire Knies! Call from the deck, Abyssal Owl and Kahedin! Then I'll use Spectral's skill! Soulblast, G Blast! Retiring Owl! Skill of Owl, a countercharge! Adding a new skill! Call from hand, another Kahedin and Morfessa! With a boost from Kahedin, Kahedin attacks!! (7000 > 14000)" Yza exclaimed.
"No guard. (Pulsar, Speedy Bunny)" Ryuzaki gritted his teeth.
"Then, the vanguard attacks! (26000)" Yza exclaimed.
"Arlim, perfect guard!!" Ryuzaki exclaimed.
"Fine by me, triple drive!!" Yza declared sternly, as he flipped the top three cards of the deck with an intense passion. (Dead Crush Dragon, Blaster Dark "Diablo", Abyss Goulart) His eyes widended. "Critical and heal trigger! Everything to the vanguard!! (26000 > 36000/1★ > 2★) Then... Spectral's skill!" Yza smirked. Ryuzaki gulped and loosened his tie for what was going to come next. "Counterblast two and retire both Kahedin's! I restand him once more with drive minus two! But before I do anything else, I use Kahedin's skill! For each retired, give the vanguard 5000 power and a new skill! Since I retired two, I add 10000 power and the skill twice! (36000 > 46000, 2★) But before that, Morfessa goes in!! His Ritual, add 5000 power!! (9000 > 14000)" Yza exclaimed.
"Guard with Lugal! (11000 > 16000)" Ryuzaki exclaimed.
"That's fine... Because I'll finish you with Spectral!! (46000 > 52000, 2★)" Yza shouted with passion, his voice echoing through the outside air. Ryuzaki looked at his hand and scoffed.
"No guard." He grinned weakly.
"Drive check! (Revenger, Undead Angel) Got it, a critical! Even if you weasel your way out of this one, I can call two cards from deck for a fifth attack. (52000 > 57000/2★ > 3★) Yza smirked.
"Damage check... (Chronoethos Jackal, Chronovolley Rabbit, Steam Maiden, Arlim)" Ryuzaki frowned. "Where's the hamster when you need him?" He groaned. "So this is why I lost..." He cringed in his mind. Yza packed up his cards quietly.
"So, Ryuza-" He was cut off.
"Call me Ryuzu, it's my nickname." Ryuzaki smirked.
"Ryuzaki is fine." Yza brushed it off. Ryuzaki sweatdropped. "That was a fun game. Thanks for the pratice match, I have Gold Paladin to face next." He gulped and laughed.
"Pratice match?!" Ryuzaki exclaimed in disbelief. "I wasn't even a challenge?!"
Yza nodded his head. "Yeah, atleast I know Spectral finishes people off." He shrugged and grabbed his items. "See ya never." He walked away. Ryuzaki groaned then went to get his bag. He left the cans of drink on the fountain's ledge, before trying to grab the bag, it slipped and fell into the murky waters of the fountain. His eye twitched as he screamed in disbelief of what had just happened.
