In the Dark Zone, a twisted grin came upon a face in the shadows.
"Sir?" A voice asked.
"Huh? Oh... Just you," He replied. Blue bangs fell over his eyes, as he rested his cheek on the palm of his hand.
"The Stardust Knights have appeared before the crisis of Cray." The figure replied.
"Oh, really?" He asked.
"Yes... But their not the only one. There's also... The Ancient Flame, and the Narukami Sub-clan, Super Strikers." He replied, solemn stare at his master.
"Ancient... Flame? Super... Strikers? Hmph, two unknown clans, and a unknown sub-clan to boot." He replied, standing up from his chair, stretching his arms. "Interesting. Well, best be going now. Nobody would want to suspect me," He said, bringing out a blank slate which was a shape of a card.
"Of course." He said, before returning into the card.
"Lets go. My avatar." He smirked, before walking out, room left unlit.

"Ride, and attack!" Ayaza said, turning the cards sideways.
"Why you gotta do this?" Whined Ryu. "Guard with Clara!"
Just then, a ding came from the bell the shop had.
"Welcome to Card Capital. How may I help you?" Asked a lilac haired girl. She was Misaki, the owner of this fine establishment. The 17 year old teen gave a stare and stayed silent. He had brown hair, but a patch was red and covered his eyes. It was slightly soaked. He wore an aviator's jacket over a white shirt, and jeans to boot. They looked quite wet aswell, as the white scarf he had on was wrapped tightly around his neck.
"I don't need any help..." He replied, going over to Ayaza and pointing a finger at him. "I've chasing your damn ass around this city, gimme some answers!"
"Huh? Who are you?" Ayaza asked.
"Don't give me petty talk, I know what you done!" He replied.
"I honestly don't know." Ayaza said, stratching the back of his head nervously.
"Well, maybe this'll jog your memory. I'm Izo Hiiro, only user of the Ancient Flame!" Izo gave a grim stare. "I want answers, so give me them."
"Answers for what, Izo?" Ayaza replied.
"If you wont talk Ayato, then I'll have to beat you in a cardfight to make you spit it out!!" Izo retorted.
"Aya-to? Your confusing my name, which is Ayaza, with this "Aya-to" guy that I never heard of my whole life." Ayaza replied.
"How can you not?!" Izo said, in a shocked manner. "Dude, you and him look exactly like him!"
"Could this "Ayato" be your twin brother?" Ryu asked.
"Seems possible." Ayaza said. "I never knew if I had any brothers or sisters since I was left alone at such a young age..."
"Hm.. In that case, sorry for being so brash. I didn't know that you weren't this Ayato guy I was talking about." Izo apologised.
"Its okay. Actually, to make up for it, lets have a cardfight." Ayaza said, smiling.
"Fine then," Izo agreed, Ryu moved out of the way and unplugged his FiCa, as Izo plugged in his, getting set up.
"Are you ready?" Ayaza said.
"Yep. We'll be fighting in the volcanoes of Dragon Empire!" Izo replied, smirk plastered on his face.
"Ok then, stand up!" Ayaza began.
"Stand up," Izo said at the same time as Ayaza.
"Vanguard!!" They exclaimed at the same time, Izo's vanguard circle a crimson, and Ayaza's a orange-red.
"New Ember Wyvern!" Izo exclaimed.
"Lizard Soldier, Saishin!!" Ayaza exclaimed.

A red wyvern appeared, and across him was a orange dragonman.

Meanwhile, a messy blue haired boy named Backlion Demiza walked around, hazel brown eyes shining in the black rain. He wore an orange jacket with no sleeves, a black shirt with a lion's head on it underneath. His green shorts looked good with his black trainers, as he chewed on gum. He held a bag, full of items as he smiled ever so innocently yet at the same time...

"I'll start the fun for you," Izo smirked, twisted grin came upon him. "Draw, ride!" He said, slamming a card on his New Ember Wyvern. "Calvary Dragon, Hiyori, pulling back Wyvern, and with that... End."

"Ancient Flame... I never seen, played or even heard of this clan until now... I mean, Yza has Stardust Knight and Rino told me about the Super Strikers, so maybe Bushi is having a bunch of new clans and sub-clans being released? Or are they just special? Its best I be pre cautious of them. Their Generation Break restricted so..." Ayaza drifted off. Izo snapped his fingers at him.
"Ayaza, your move." Izo said.
"O-oh, sorry..." Ayaza trailed off, drawing a card. "Stand and draw, ride Red River Dragoon and pulling back Saishin. My vanguard attacks! (8000)"
"No guard!" Izo said.
"Drive check. (Dragonic Kaiser Crimson) No trigger." Ayaza said. Izo eyes shot at Ayaza's card.
"Kaiser. We'll be at each others front row like we did with our necks earlier." He thought. "Damage check. (Volt-fang Knight Dragon) Nothing." Izo said.

Ayaza sat down on a red painted bench as his father sat next to him, ruffling his hair.

"Could this "Ayato" be your twin brother?" Ryu asked.

Tears fell on Dragonic Kaiser Crimson as he cried as loud as he could, "HELP!"

Ayaza went slightly pale as he regained his grip and say, "End."

"Stand and draw." Izo said, Ryu taking a peek at their hands. He noticed Ayaza's snow coloured skin.
"You ok?" He asked.

"I'm gonna get lunch for us, I'll be right back." His dad smiled warmly, leaving Ayaza and walking off to get some food.

"Twin brother?"

"HELLLLLLLLLP!!!"

"Huh?" Ayaza said.
"Concentrate." Ryu said.
"R-right. Sorry." Ayaza said, blinking a couple of times. "Get a grip, your in a cardfight!" He thought. He looked at his extremely pale skin. He gasped.
"You look like your gonna be sick. We can stop the match if you want." Izo suggested. Ryu nodded in agreement.
"N-no, its fine." Ayaza reassured them.
"Thats what you say. Ride, Mithrial! Then I call Aghero, and Aghero goes in! (9000)" Izo exclaimed.

Ayaza let his legs swing like a pendulum as he held his teddy bear tighter to him.

"Brother?"

"HELLLLLLLLLLLP!!!" Tears streamed down his face, nobody could hear the boy who's father died. His only family left.

Ayaza bit his lip hard to hold in his emotions. He didn't want anyone to be worried about him. The edges of his vision blurred slightly as Izo looked at him.
"Are you gonna guard?" He asked.
Ayaza blinked to get him back to his normal vision. "Guard with Plasma Dance! (8000 > 18000)"
"Then my vanguard attacks! (8000 > 13000)" Izo declared.
"No guard!" Ayaza said.

Blood. That was all he could see on the ripped wallpaper of the house.

"Drive check! (Crystal Shield Wyvern Guardian) No trigger." He said.
"Damage check," Ayaza said, almost like in a whisper. Like he had lost his voice, his confidence.

"Daddy?" He said, looking terrified at the bloody mess that was a sword stabbed through the man.

He flipped the top card. It was Thunderstorm Dragoon.
"End." Izo said. Ayaza felt uneasy as he gripped the bars and reajusted his eyesight from being blurry.

"Stand and draw. I ride Thunderstorm Dragoon and call Chatura to rear guard. Then Chatura attacks! (11000)" He declared in the strongest voice he could create from his shattered mind of memories.

The sun set as the train station became a warm orange. Ayaza bit his lip to force him not to cry, but the tears wouldn't stay back. He gripped his bear tighter then before, as he mumbled, "Where are you daddy?" Cold breath escaping his mouth as he whimpered scared.

"No guard!" Izo gritted his teeth. "Damage check (Blizzard Dragon Ruler, Altivira) Nothing."
"Saishin's skill I counterblast, place him into soul and your Wyvern is gone!" He said.

In a strike of thunder, the wyvern was shocked and disappeared, as Thunderstorm charged in towards the dragon in fire.

"My vanguard attacks! (10000)" Ayaza shouted. Hints of sadness could be heard in his voice.

He looked up, boy looking happy with his mother. He gritted his teeth as tears streamed down faster then before. As the mother and child walked past him, the child questioned the crying Ayaza as he looked up, in place of the sun, was a crescent moon.

"Guard with Element Fusion! (8000 > 13000)" Izo said.
"One trigger needed! Drive check! (Crownholder Dragon) I got nothing." Ayaza said, dissapointed.

As a woman picked up the boy screaming help, she asked him, "Whats wrong dear?"

"I end." Ayaza breathed out coldly. Ryu couldn't help but wonder what was wrong with his friend.

Zeon walked down the street as he stopped when he passed a familiar blue haired boy. He continued to walk as the blue haired boy spat out his gum and smiled, as he played with the ends of his hair. He walked to a card shop.

(A/N Play the song in the media here now on repeat until the fight ends)

"Stand and draw. A black inferno that can't be put out, the ancient flame that has been REBORN! I ride my avatar, Dragonic Remnant! Purge them with your dragonic flames!" The vanguard circle expanded a lava red. "I call Lucky-star Dracokid and Strong-willed Pyromage. Lets see what you got kid! Burn 'em down, Aghero! (9000 > 14000)" Izo snarled.
"No guard." Ayaza said.

Thunderstorm Dragoon was scorched by a blast of lava, only to be followed by a red dragon with tanned armour pieces and glowing yellow eyes approach the blonde, fire and ambition swirling in his mouth, as a blast of red hot magma spewed out in a powerful blast.

"Damage check! (Yellow Gem Carbuncle) Critical. All effects to vanguard. (10000 > 15000/1★ > 2★)" Ayaza said.
"Show them powerful flames! My vanguard attacks!! (11000 > 18000)" Izo exclaimed.
"Guard with Seiobo and Red River! (15000 > 25000)" Ayaza said.
"One trigger. Twin drive! (Blasting Dragon, Aghero, Fortune Dragon, Artisius) Alright, critical trigger! All effects to vanguard! (18000 > 23000/1★ > 2★)" Izo shouted.

The magma burnt through the purple dragonman and the blonde child, it scolded the blonde teen in one devastating blow.

"Damage check. First (Dragon Dancer, Anastasia) And second. (Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion "THE BLOOD") Nothing either." Ayaza said.
"End." Izo smirked confidently.

"Brother"

"M-my dad, left me at a train station and I was kicked out,"

"Beat it kid!" Was all he could hear as they kicked him out.

"And I m-managed to come back t-to my house and find my dad dead!" Ayaza whimpered, stammerimg from all the emotions that he felt, it overwhelmed him. Tears trickled down his face as the woman took care of him.
"There there... What is your name?" She asked, kind smile on her face.
"Ayaza Vulcan..." He cried.

"Ayaza." Ryu snapped as he looked at a dazed Ayaza who bit his lip harder to prevent him crying.

"Ayaza huh?"

"Ayaza!" Ryu snapped again.

"Well would you like to start a brand new life living with me?" She asked.

"Ayaza!" Ryu shouted. He gripped the bars again as he drew. "Stand and draw, I ride Dragonic Kaiser Crimson." Ayaza said, vamguard circle expanding crimson.
"Strange. Ayaza would normally do his chant before riding his avatar... What has gotten into him? His skin is pale, lips are purple, eyes seem dull... This is strange." Ryu thought.
"Then I call Red River, and I activate Crimson's skill. I soulblast so he gets 2000 added power (11000 > 13000) And I Legion and Seek Mate! Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion!" The Legion symbol flashed between the cards. "Then I call Crownholder and I activate Crimson's Limit Break!!" A crimson vanguard circle span on top of the two cards as the four cards in the damage zone glowed white. "My Mate's ACT has no cost now, so I'm gonna activate his LIMIT BREAK!" The vanguard circle above expanded larger and span faster, cards in the damage zone glowing brighter then before. A bell was heard as a blue haired boy entered.
"Backlion? What are you doing here?" Ryu asked.
"Now I can attack the your front row! And I'll do so!! (24000 > 32000)" Ayaza declared.
"To have a cardfight, duh." Backlion laughed.
"Then lets have a match!" Ryu smirked intensly.
"Sure," Backlion smiled.

Ayaza nodded his head. "Ok then!" He wiped his tears.
"I'm Miss Ganki, but you can call me mum from now on." She smiled.
"Ok mum!" Ayaza grinned for the first time in forever.
"From today, you'll be known as Ayaza Ganki." She smiled as she kissed his forehead.

"No guard!" Izo exclaimed.
"Twin drive! (Crownholder Dragon, Old Dragon Mage) Draw trigger. Power to Chatura and draw. (11000 > 16000)" Ayaza said. Izo retired Aghero.
"Damage check! (Strong-willed Pyromage) Nothing." Izo grunted.
"Crownholder's skill, 4000 to itself and Chatura! (16000 > 20000)(7000 > 11000) Then they attack!! (20000 > 31000)" Ayaza cried.
"No guard. (Volt-fang Knight Dragon) Nothing."
Ayaza's skin regained its colour. "Chatura's skill, counterblast, draw and binding that Wyvern. End."

"Stand and draw. LIBERATING THE GENERATION ZONE!! Generation Stride! Conquest Dragon, Black Flame Dragon! Stride skill, counterblast and retire Lucky-star, my vanguard gets 2000 power (26000 > 26000) And I superior call Strong-willed Pyromage. Then I call Artisius and Aghero. With a boost from Pyromage, Aghero attacks! (9000 > 16000) Skill, counterblast and retiring Artisius, searching my deck for another one and call! The retired one's skill, counterblast, and draw." Izo explained.
"Guard with Plasma Dance. (11000 > 21000)" Ayaza said, regaining his confidence.

A smiling Ayaza ran around in the garden as he was playing with his dog, Boney.
"You can't catch me, you can't catch me!!" He smiled as the dog barked and ran after him.

"I don't give a damn about my old family! You took me in and gave me a better life! Even if they haunt me with the past, I'm gonna show them I've changed, I changed my destiny!" Ayaza thought, serious look on. "I can't afford to lose anything precious to me anymore! Its all or nothing now..."
"Vanguard attacks!! (28000 > 35000)" Izo shouted.
"PERFECT GUARD!!" Ayaza shouted. Ryu smiled as he saw Ayaza regain everything.
"The past is nothing to me now, I gotta look to the future!" Ayaza smirked as he thought that.
"Triple drive! (Dragonic Remnant, Lucky-star Dracokid, Wyvern Girl, Vyra) A heal trigger. Healing a damage, power to vanguard. Thats it, I end." Izo laughed.

"Spectral Duke Dragon's skill, retiring three of my rear-guards, and he restands!" Backlion cheered.
"HEY YOU CON-ARTIST, DON'T COPY MY IDEAS!!" Ryu shouted. Backlion simply shrugged and attacked.

"They look like their having fun." Ayaza chuckled. "Stand and draw. I activate their LIMIT BREAKS!!" A large crimson circle appeared over the cards as it span fast, cards in the damage zone glowing a bright white. "I call Thunderstorm Dragoon and Crownholder. Then my vanguard attacks!! Pair up and surge, Crimson Catastrophe!!" Ayaza smiled, fist to Izo.
"I perfect guard!" Izo smirked. He retired his front rear-guard.
"Twin Drive! (Yellow Gem Carbuncle, Plasma Dance Dragon) Double critical! 5000 to Chatura and Thunderstorm, and critical to each other. (11000 > 16000/1★ > 2★) (10000 > 15000/1★ > 2★) Then Crownholder gives itself and Chatura 2000 power, and my other Crownholder gives itself and Thunderstorm 2000 aswell! (16000 > 18000) (15000 > 17000) (7000 > 9000) (7000 > 9000) Then Chatura goes in!! (18000 > 27000, 2★)" Ayaza smiled.
"I Perfect Guard! Skill, countercharge 1!" Izo replied.
"Then Thunderstorm! (17000 > 26000, 2★)" Ayaza shouted.
"Guard with Pursuit Breaker and Vyra! (11000 > 31000)" Izo said.
"No cards in hand... Man you were desperate." Ayaza laughed.
"I would have lost if I didn't do so." Izo replied.
"I end." Ayaza said.

"Stand and draw. Reincarnate black ashes and flames, evolve further!! Burn up the land, evaporate the sea and scorch the sky! Create an inferno when I... GENERATION STRIDE!!!" Izo exclaimed. "Overlord Dragon, Dragonic Remnant Inferno!!" The vanguard circle became a lava red.

The volcanoes spewed up lava and erupted suddenly, the red dragon was submerged in a red light, as rock and rubble exploded off the dragon it roared, as it was covered in flames and emerging in its new form. The red dragon had become much more larger, its wings were on fire and the tanned armour had more of a design to it. The yellow eyes it had pierced the enemies soul and shattered it.

"Stride skill, counterblast and retire Pyromage! My vanguard gets 2000 power (26000 > 28000) and I call Hiyori! Inferno's skill, counterblast, soulblast, retiring Pyromage and Artisius, and G Persona Blast! My vanguard gets power plus 5000, critical plus one, drive minus one and a new skill!! (28000 > 33000/1★ > 2★) Artisius' skill, counterblast and draw, Hiyori's skill, 6000 added power! (7000 > 13000) Then with a boost from Hiyori, my vanguard attacks the front row!! (33000 > 46000, 2★)" Izo declared.
"What the hell?! Aw man, I don't have enough to guard. I just need to risk a trigger now." Ayaza thought. "No guard!" He retired his rear-guards.
"Twin Drive!! (Pursuit Breaker, Crystal Shield Wyvern Guardian) Critical. All effects to vanguard! (46000 > 51000/2★ > 3★)" Izo smirked.

Spewing from Inferno's mouth was a combination of deadly fires that approached the dragons, a blazing inferno was reachingfor them.

"Damage check!" Ayaza said. "Two heal triggers... Come to me Seiobo!" He thought. "First, (Demonic Dragon Nymph, Seiobo) Heal! Healing one, power to vanguard. (11000 > 16000) Second! (Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion)" Ayaza gritted his teeth. "I swore I'd change my future... AND I'LL DO IT NOW!!" He thought, as he flipped over the top card. (Dragonic Kaiser Crimson) Ayaza sighed and smiled. "Good game, Izo." He smiled, holding out hos hand. Izo smiled back and shook it.

After the match, Backlion won against Ryu and rushed off home. It was night and it didn't rain. Izo walked back to his home, a pair of eyes set on him. He grasped the handle of his weapon and looked at Izo intensly.
"Izo Hiiro, user of Ancient Flame. I'll be one to assasinate you. Orders of MY master." With that, he fled.

Phew, that was hard. Thanks to ScarletFlames1 for letting me use Izo! Man, Ancient Flame is fun too use XD. Also, am I rushing into the plot too quickly? I would like to know as I'm not to sure myself. Other then that, I hoped you enjoyed and Fox out!
