The school day ended, and now it was time for E Class to go to war against A Class.

Chabashira-sensei took us down to the war preparation room, where we had one last meeting before the war truly begun at 3pm.

Matsushita took control of the class and informed everyone about our overwhelming fourteen person advantage over A Class. Just like me and him, everyone was shocked to find out A Class only had eleven students. Chabashira-sensei, while having a face of disdain, was generally impressed by the information he had managed to find out.

Afterwards, Matsushita went over our strategy. He was going to go to the gymnasium and hide in the backstage, and have his group of defenders (fifteen in total) hold down the fort and defend him. The attackers meanwhile are to either pair up or go individually to hunt the King, while sharing information and using Chabashira-sensei as our key communicator. We decided that we wouldn't have a commanding student in this war.

However, some troubles had arose. As everyone was putting on their visors, Chabashira-sensei did the register. While everyone should've been present in this room, there were two missing people.

"Fujimura-san and Suzuki-san aren't here?!" Matsushita exclaimed.

"They said they weren't going to participate." Yamaguchi said.

Yukimura looked furious. "Huh? They're ditching the war? Dumb gyaru! That's not fair at all!"

"Chabashira-sensei, what should we do?" Matsushita asked.

"You lot, don't worry about it. They'll get punished for it accordingly later, for skipping out War Time. Right now, we can't do anything due to time constraints, so we're going to have to go ahead with everyone here."

"Ugh!" Yukimura kicked a chair.

The class began to grow noisy and annoyed. A lot of them didn't want to participate at all, so having Fujimura and Suzuki be able to skip this entirely felt like a kick to the stomach for them.

"Now, turn on your visors and get into your starting positions." Chabashira-sensei said, turning on her visor.

As we all did the same, everyone's visors lit up. However, Yamaguchi chortled.

"Oi, Sensei. Mine isn't turning on. Guess I'm not participating." Yamaguchi said.

Yukimura shot a glare at Yamaguchi. Yamaguchi shrugged.

"Is that so? Then, you'll just have to sit out and wait here." Chabashira-sensei said.

"Fine by me." Yamaguchi took a seat in the room and smirked.

"If Yamaguchi isn't participating, I don't want to either." Yukimura said, taking off his visor.

"Yukimura-san, you're going to participate. There's no reason for you to not."

"But sensei, three of our stupid classmates aren't even joining in! Why the hell should I join as well?!" Yukimura roared, chucking his visor to the floor. "This blows! I'm not doing this dumb war!"

The class's morale was slowly deteriorating. With all these people saying they don't want to participate, people became unmotivated to at least try.

"Everyone, please calm down. Fujimura-san and Suzuki-san's absence, along with Yamaguchi-san's malfunctioning visor, won't affect our strategy too heavily. Yes, they won't participate, but they were all defenders. We still have the power of numbers on our side. Don't let one or two person's selfish actions, or an unfortunate accident, destroy your spirit. We're tougher than that. We can prove to the whole school that us, first years, can take down third years at their own game!" Matsushita said.

His on the spot speech managed to bring the mood up a little.

Sakigamiya picked up Yukimura's visor off the floor and handed it to him. Smiling cutely, she tried to appeal to him.

"If only you had this much passion for the war... you're a valuable piece, Yukimura-san. Don't let your anger blind you. Remember, if we win, there's going to be a reward. So let's do our best!"

Yukimura grumbled, putting his visor back in his ear. "Well... damn it, I just don't want to do this. I'm no good at Vanguard at all." He admitted.

"That's okay, neither am I. But let's not forget that War Time isn't just the evaluation of just our Vanguard skills. War Time evaluates everything, including things like our physical ability as well. If you want, you don't have to stay cooped up in the gymnasium defending Matsushita. You can join us, the attackers, and use your physical prowess to help us cover more ground to find Mikazuchi-senpai."

Sakigamiya's words were incredibly smooth. She had calmed Yukimura down and also presented him with an alternative option that would suit him better. After all, in our P.E. classes, Yukimura was easily the best out of the boys, and his speed was absurd. He could do both sprinting and long distance and not break a sweat.

"...alright. I'll help you guys find Mikazuchi." Yukimura turned on his visor. Luckily, it didn't break.

"Thanks, Yukimura-san!"

"Welcome to the attacking team, buddy." Mitsuba grinned. Yukimura and him fist-bumped.

"Chabashira-sensei, may we head out now?" Matsushita asked.

"Of course. The grace period is five minutes. A siren will signal when when the war starts, and the visors will notify you. E Class's starting point will be here, in the war preparation room, and A Class's starting point will be in the war preparation room in the opposite special wing of the school. I'll be here to guide you. Good luck."

With those final words, we headed out. Yamaguchi stayed behind playing on his phone, while Chabashira-sensei was completely immersed in her job.

Matsushita's group headed towards the gymnasium. Sakigamiya's group decided to split up accordingly. I decided to go solo, and Sakigamiya told me to go explore the east block of buildings. On the surface, I agreed to it, but in actuality, I was going to disobey that order.

"Let's do our best, Yuu-kun!" Yukina said.

"Yeah. Good luck searching on the top floor." I said.

We parted ways, and when everyone was gone, I stood by myself in the hall of the special wing. I looked out of the window and watched as the timer on my visor counted down.

In five seconds, the war would start.
