I looked at the screen of my computer and smile slightly feeling victorious. Although it's my 67th win streak for this event. I laid back on my gaming chair letting out a loud yawn, stretching my arms.

How long has it been?

I questioned to myself, I look at my desk clock to see the time.

My eyes widen slightly, I realized I didn't sleep for the whole night. Now I'm too afraid to open the blinders on my window. The sun might kill my eyes after a long dark cold night of video games.

I shut down my computer before putting on my fluffy green slippers. Walking to to the door unlocking it as it made a click noise. The light from outside made my eyes squint.

Gah the light is so bright.

It took awhile to get adjust. Walking out my room, I head over to the bathroom downstairs. Several minutes later, I went out to get breakfast, wearing a black T-shirt with matching coloured shorts.

The breakfast table was a tranquil place. Pulling a chair, I just sat down enjoying the silent morning.

"Morning sweetheart." I heard my mom, Mai, spoke.

"How did you slept?" She asked me.

"It was... Pleasant." I lied.

I see her smile before leaving the table to the kitchen. I didn't see my dad, probably on a business trip. I ate my breakfast quietly while l fidget my legs slightly.

On the middle way of eating I got interrupted by my mother with a gold envelope on her hands.

"Kin." she place down the envelope on the table.

I gazed at the letter and blink, it said it's from Setsuna Academy. One of the most richest and advance schools in Japan.

Why would they send a letter to me?

I opened the envelope as a blue light emerge from the letter causing me to be startled at the sudden beam. Then a hologram of an old man appeared.

"Congratulations Kin Takami you've been chosen to go to Setsuna Academy." He began, making me raise a brow.

What's so special about me though?

"You will be picked up later, specifically at 4 in the evening, if you keep me waiting you'll be excluded from this scholarship."

E-exculded?

"I will see you this afternoon, Takami." And just like that the beam dissapeared.

I couldn't believe it..

I'm going to Setsuna Academy.

My mother look at me, she seems happy. I started to laugh, clenching the letter close to my chest.

"I'm happy for you Kin!" She hugged me tightly. I giggled causing a squeak.

"I need to decide what to pack."

"Alright, go ahead." she has a sweet smile across her face.

I went back to my room and started to bring objects that I think I'd need to stay in the academy.

I closed my suitcases then fix up my messy hair. Grinning, I decide to pull it backwards and clip on a huge blue bow for today.

Wished I could bring all of my gaming stuff. It's sad I'm stuck with a small laptop.

As I put in my laptop, something caught my eye; My old FICA, it's been awhile since I've played Vanguard, hell even touched it. I'm too busy with games.

I took and blew it gently as dust rised from it. Coughing lightly, I checked inside to see a Angel Feather deck. I spread out all the cards on my empty wooden desk it replayed all the memories within it.

I think father was the one gave it to me and let mother taught me. She was quite... cold, but still loving.

I glanced at the 5th card on my damage zone, I froze. One more then game over. Shaking, I drew a card and called a rearguard.

"You can use your damage for something useful." She said. "To activate some card's skill requires a counterblast, hence why damage is quite important, got it?"

I nodded.

Standing on the front door of my house, I looked at my mom, and waved goodbye. She waved back with a small smile on her face.

"Thanks for everything. Mom."

"See you soon."

And with that, I part ways with her. Going into the fancy black limousine, I got on trying to get comfortable since I'm not really used to the lavish lifestyle. My mom may be a model, but we still manage to live pretty normal.

I looked at my house one last time before driving off. If I'm not mistaken it's a 2 hour drive from here, still in the Tokyo area.

Resting my head on my hand on the window seat, I looked out as we pass a couple of buildings and a familiar school, Heiwa Academy.

I mean, before I got the invitation my mom considered putting me in there. Hell, even got a tour around school from the king himself last year, though I heard he was an ass for a king.

After about 30 minutes I passed a harbour filled with kids around my age. They all wore different tie colours, getting onto a cruise ship with the sticker that says RMS GEN. Must've been rich school or some shit.

Actually hold on a minute-

I just turned away at the sight of it. Didn't thought about it too much, it's been awhile I haven't saw him either, so I could be wrong. After some deep thoughts, I didn't realize I fell asleep afterwards.

My eyes started to slightly open from the sound of a gate unlatching. The limousine drove inside, I saw a huge white school building with golden designs. As the car stopped infront of the lobby, I got out while dragging my luggage and saw a girl with crimson red hair and bright yellow eyes.

"WELCOME TO SETSUNA ACADEMY!"
