**Three weeks later**

It's been already so many days and so much had happened. Caroline was exhausted, she tried to comfort Katherine but it didn't go as she had planned. Caroline said something to her that she totally didn't mean. She told her a few days back that she was acting like a slut. Katherine was angry but she knew that Caroline was saying the truth.

She apologized for the mean words she said and they continued as if nothing else had really happened. Stefan was very distant and so was Katherine. They barely talked to each other. Caroline noticed that and tried to do everything to put them together but Damon stopped her mentioning her own words

 'we shouldn't be interfering in their lives. That's a matter which needs to be solved between them. We can't do anything'

Caroline was confused because Kat was taking a lot of time to make her choice. She hadn't been to work for one week. She did not want to call her because the thing Katherine needed the most was time.

Kol's p.o.v

"I'm having fun watching all that drama, don't you sister?" Kol asked Rebekah.

 "Oh! Kol grow up" Rebekah teased him receiving a dead glare from Kol and she added

 "find another person to annoy. We are fed up with your childish acts"

He was bored to death, Rebekah had went on a date with her secret girlfriend. Elijah had been taking care of some business and Klaus had been locked up all days in his studio. He didn't have anything else to do, he was the only one in his family without occupation.

He decided to go to Lumpia Shack Snackbar. He always went there to kill time.

*No one's p.o.v*

"One glass Rachel" he ordered.

 He had been drinking for the past hours. Since he had been in New York, his life had been just a boredom. Klaus doesn't even spend time with him anymore like they did in the past. He stopped all of that since he had met Caroline

"Kol Mikaelson drinking alone. That's new" he heard a familiar voice behind him. 

He turned himself and found the last person he ever thought to meet again.

 "My favorite Bennett"

"Join me for a drink, love. I'm just bored" Kol asked smirking.

 "Umm...I don't have anything else to do. I guess I'll join you" she said.

"Wait wait! So Elijah is still in love with his first love even though the girl is with someone else" Bonnie asked.

 "I think she is no longer with her boyfriend Bonnie"

"Anyways what are you doing in New York?" he asked curiously.

 "I have been working here since last week" she answered. He nodded.

"You must be really bored for coming here" Bonnie smiled.

 "I don't even say"

"Hello love!" Caroline turned and saw Klaus with a genuine smile. 

"Go away! Am busy" she said annoyingly.

 "Don't be like that love" he gave her his puppy eyes.

 "Listen Klaus, Kat's been I don't know where and I'm really busy as you see. So why don't you go and show your puppy eyes to someone else" she said still not looking at him.

"Let me help" Klaus offered. 

"What?" she asked.

 "I may be a person behind an office desk but am quite useful, Caroline. Let me help" Klaus said.

 Truth to be told, he had nothing else to do. 

"Fine, you want to help. Let's go" Caroline had a malice grin on her face.

They walked through different alleys, and Klaus was confused to why she was leading her to a dark alleys.

 "Did I make a mistake offering to help, Caroline?" Klaus asked.

 When she didn't reply, he gave up. He wanted to spend time with her, even having the slightest clue of what she will give him.

"Finally" Caroline exclaimed and then added "Go on" she instructed.

 When Klaus pushed the door open a crack, but it refused to go any further. He instantly saw the cause, a mountain of dirty kitchen utensils stuffed up against it. Deftly using his foot to free the door, he witnessed the full horror of The Russian Tea Time.

"When I said I wanted to help, I didn't mean that I need to watch the kitchen utensils, love" Klaus said.

 "You wanted to help, so help me. Be useful. I will just be downstairs"

"Since I knew your family, there was always drama. I don't find it surprising to hear more" 

Bonnie said taking a sip from her milkshake making kol let out a chuckle.

"You know I never thought I would see you again" kol said.

 "Well here I am" Bonnie exclaimed joyfully. 

"Well Bon-Bon since you are here I plan we catch up for all those years" Kol said standing.

 "So where are we going?" Bonnie inquired.

 Before Kol could reply, he was interrupted by someone "Hey Bonnie!"

They both turned themselves and saw a dark-skinned guy.

 "Jamie" Bonnie said running over him and hugging him.

 Jamie's gaze went over Kol and he asked Bonnie 

"Who's this?"

"Jamie, this is Kol. Kol this is Jamie, my boyfriend" Bonnie made the presentations. 

Both boys shook hands.

 "I've never heard of him" Jamie said squeezing Bonnie's hand.

Kol saw that, and he was furious

 "actually mate, the thing is Bonnie and I were just friends. I was here when her mother left her. But then I needed to move away. So, we didn't keep contacts. I was the one who noticed her but she forget about it. Let's say after hours of reminding her who I am, she finally remember me" Kol said putting his hand on Jamie's shoulder.

He lied to protect Bonnie. This few minutes, he already deciphered that guy's personality. Kol wondered how in the first place Bonnie and that shithead are together.

 "It was very nice meeting you, Kol" Jamie smiled.

"The pleasure is all mine"

"I think we will take your lea-"before Jamie could finished Kol interrupted him

 "Why don't you go with me to The Russian Tea Room" Kol proposed.

 "I don't think it's a good idea" Jamie said.

 "Don't worry mate, it's on my treat".

 "Well I guess we will be going" Bonnie beamed at Kol.

**At the Russian Tea Room**

"Well I'm impressed, Mikaelson. I never thought that you would do a great job" Caroline said truthfully.

 "I'm full of talents, love" Klaus smirked feeling exhausted.

 "Let me offer you a drink. It's from the house" she said. 

"As you wish"

"Wow...its beautiful here" Bonnie exclaimed.

 "Your welcome" kol whispered in her ear. 

"Kol what are you doing here?" Klaus asked confused.

 "Bonnie" Klaus acknowledged. 

"Klaus" she smiled. 

"Here your drin-" Caroline said but stopped when she saw Kol and those two people.

 "Right" Kol smirked.

"Caroline, this is Bonnie. Bonnie, this is Caroline my future sister-in- law" Kol said making a small blush crept on Caroline's face.

 "Just shut up" Caroline smacked him on his back.

"Jamie, a pleasure to meet you" Jamie said taking Caroline's hand and kissed it causing both men of the room to look at him in disgust.

 She quickly removed her hand and said "Caroline"

"Why don't I offer you a drink?" Caroline smiled genuinely at Bonnie, she nodded.

 "Thanks" Bonnie smiled.

 "You and Klaus huh?" Bonnie teased.

 "Nah! We're just friends. We are friends....that's all" Caroline said trying to believe in her own words.

 "It's complicated right?" Bonnie said. She nodded.

 "I guess, it's all like that with the Mikaelson" Bonnie whispered.

"Talking about how sexy I am" Kol smirked. 

"In your dreams" Bonnie said with her flirty eyes. 

"I need your help, Caroline" Kol whispered in her ears.

 "What do I need to do?" Caroline asked.

"I need you to get rid of that scumbag, Jamie" Kol said showing his puppy eyes, afraid of her saying no.

 "Finally! Someone said. No need to show your puppy eyes, I wanted to get rid of that boy as much as you do" Caroline said.

"Sophie! I need a small favor" Caroline uttered showing her best face. 

"Ok, your face already scared the shit out of me. What do I need to do?" Sophie spoke.

"I need you to keep that guy busy. Distract him until the night is over" Caroline pointed towards Jamie. 

"Ok, but you owe me one, Forbes" Sophie said. 

"You're the best" Caroline hugged her.

"Um...I need your help" Sophie said in front of Jamie. 

She was acting so well.

 "What can I do for you?" Jamie questioned. 

"As you see...all the male staffs are busy and there are some heavy boxes. Could you please lend me some help" she showed her best smile.

 "Sure" they both took their way at the back of the room.

"High five, my favorite sister-in-law" Kol high five with Caroline.

 "Enough with calling me your sister-in-law" Caroline said annoyingly. 

"Wait...it was the two of you who asked that girl to make Jamie busy" Klaus said.

 "Yes Nik, but Caroline did the rest herself" Kol said.

"I'm full of talents" Caroline mimicked Klaus' accent but failed causing him to chuckle.

 "Let's go dance" Kol shouted.

 "Good idea" Bonnie shouted too.

"Tonight I'm not going to sing" Caroline said getting disappointed looks from all the people. 

"But we will still be enjoying ourselves thanks to the famous DJ of New York"

"Enjoy your ass! The night is still young" Caroline shouted drowning her tequila down her throat.

Kol's hand were resting on Bonnie's waist, and Bonnie's hands were on his neck.

 "I miss that" Bonnie whispered burying her face in the crook of Kol's neck. 

They just continued to dance.

And the night continued on like that.

 "You did a pretty good job, love" Klaus said pulling her closer to him.

 "I'm just trying to help" Caroline said enjoying the heat from Klaus' body.

"Jamie is not good for Bonnie" she said and added "I think Kol will be her perfect match" she smiled. 

"What make you think so?" Klaus asked curiously.

"Well I don't know, the way Bonnie blush when Kol said something funny or even annoying. Or when he compliments her. You know when I saw how Jamie was behaving with Bonnie, I saw Kol's look. As if he wanted to tear out her boyfriend's liver. I think they are made for each other" Caroline replied.

"If you say so" Klaus said.

 "Don't make that face!" Caroline said. 

"You must be happy I said something nice about your brother"

"You must help me to make Bonnie and Kol together and to kick Jamie out of her life" Caroline said determined. 

"I'm scared of that look" Klaus joked.

 "Oh! Shut up" Caroline pinched him on his arm.

 "Ouch! That hurts" Klaus said.

 "That was the purpose" she teased.

"You're quite the dancer, Bonnie" Kol complimented. 

"You're not so bad" Bonnie teased.

 "Is that a compliment from Bonnie Bennett" Kol chaffed.

 "I'm honored"

"Don't flatter yourself so quickly" Bonnie rolled her eyes.

Meanwhile...................

She finally decided. She couldn't hurt him anymore. She wanted them to remain friends. That was her only chance to clear everything and to start afresh. She entered the building, thinking about what to say to him. After what seemed like eternity to her, she arrived in front of his door. She knocked twice and after a few minutes, he opened.

"Hello Stefan!" she said. 

"Katherine" he said surprised.
