A cool breeze was blowing around the campus ground. Golden leaves and weak twigs were lying scattered near the gateway of the college and the chatter of students was vibrating through the air.

17-year-old Sai was standing in front of her classroom. New college, new friends and a new phase in her life. Her body was shaking slightly, partly due to the cold breeze waving around and partly due to the adrenaline rush her nervousness and excitement was causing.

The bell rang loudly and the doors in front of her opened with a small creak. Hesitating a bit, she slowly placed one leg inside the room, quietly taking in all the sights.

A medium-sized classroom. Benches were arranged in rows facing the big blackboard at one end of the room. The chattering of the students already present in the room filled her ears. She slowly made her way across to an empty seat she spotted on the other side of the classroom.

After a short wait of 20 minutes, a middle-aged woman entered the classroom. Sai, who was focus was only on the book in her hand, failed to notice the entry of the new person.

"Silence!" A loud screech.

Sai's head shot up in shock. The book slipped from her hand and fell on the floor, forgotten. The whole class was up on its feet. Sai imitated them and slowly rose.

"Good morning students," the woman said, her voice no less rough than before.

"Good morning Professor," A chorus rose from the class.

"Sit," she said, walking towards the board with a chalk in her hand.

'AERODYNAMICS' The teacher wrote in big, bold letters. She then turned to face the silent class. Her sharp eyes started scanning the room intently. Sai suddenly gulped as she felt the eagle eyes of the teacher fall upon her.

"You, stand up!" She pointed towards Sai and shouted.

The usually brave Sai felt her legs shake every so slightly as she stood up quietly.

"Name?"

"Sai Pallavi,"

"New admission?" she queried, peering through her glasses.

"Yes ma'am," she nodded.

"What is Bernoulli's principle?"

Sai mentally cursed at herself for not going through the books at least once before coming. She racked her brains for some sign of Bernoulli's principle. Was it every action has an equal and opposite reaction? No, no, that is Newton's third law of motion.

"Sai Pallavi? Are you going to answer me or not?" A harsh call woke her up from her thoughts.

Sai gulped in fear.

"Profes-" she started, but was cut across by the sudden opening of the door. She looked towards the door in relief, only to find a young man of her age, lazily walking into the class, all the while playing with his messy hair.

"And you are?" The professor growled, rounding up on the newcomer.

The boy looked behind him as if to check if there was anyone else the teacher could be talking to.

"Oh, you mean me?" he questioned, looking directly at the professor.

"Is anyone other than you standing here?" she snarled.

The boy's gaze fell upon Sai and his lips curled into a small smirk.

"What about her? Isn't she standing?" he asked.

It was then that the teacher's eyes fell back upon Sai.

"I'll deal with you later," she muttered under her breath.

"Sit, child!" she motioned for Sai to sit.

Sai gave a deep sigh of relief and dropped down onto her seat. She quickly took out the textbook from her bag and started searching for 'Bernoulli's Principle'.

Meanwhile, the professor had walked straight up to the boy.

"When does class start?" she asked, glaring daggers at him.

"9," the boy answered.

"And what time is it now?"

The boy glanced at his watch.

"10 past 9," he said lazily.

"Any reason for being late?"

"There was this accident on the way here. So, the road was blocked," he shrugged.

The teacher glared at the boy in anger for a few more minutes before gnarling, "Go sit,"

He started to make his way to the end of the row when the teacher suddenly stopped him.

"You sit there," she said, pointing at the empty seat beside Sai.

Sai, who was looking through the book to find 'Bernoulli's Principal' remained oblivious to the fact that the teacher and the boy were standing right next to her.

"Move over child!" The teacher's harsh call caused her to jump up from her seat and look around in shock.

The teacher was still glaring at the boy, who was now seated beside her. She stood still for a few moments, before realizing that she could be seated.

She took her place beside the boy and started flipping through the book again. Even though he looked annoyed to be seated next to her, he was glancing over at her curiously. Sai found his shining eyes fixed upon her face as she turned to take her water bottle.

She looked at him questioningly. He shrugged in reply and threw his eyes over to the book in her hand.

"So, what's your name?" he asked after a few minutes of silence.

"Sai Pallavi. You can call me Sai," she smiled. "And yours?"

"Saatvik," he replied.

"You, girl!" A scream suddenly resounded in her ears.

She gasped slightly and got up.

"Learnt the principle yet?" she asked, staring into her deep, brown eyes with her small grey ones.

She nodded silently.

"Say it," she ordered.

"Bernoulli's principle states that an increase in the speed of a fluid occurs simultaneously with a decrease in static pressure or a decrease in the fluid's potential energy," she spoke in one breath.

The teacher stared at her for a few minutes, trying to find some mistake in what she said. Finally giving up, she motioned for her to sit and walked back towards the board.

She sat down, trying to hide the arrogance that was forming on her face.

"So, new admission, huh?" Satvik leaned forward on his arms and questioned.

"Well, I wasn't there here before, right?" she asked slowly, making sure that sarcasm was evident in her voice.

Satvik turned speechless for a moment. She was about to turn her face back to her book when something on his hand caught her eye. She stared in awe and disbelief at the familiar tattoo on his hand.
