When Saphira is talking in thought: 'eragon'

When they are talking in thought: ' '

When Braydën is talking in thought: 'eragon'

It didn't take long for Eragon and Lord Stark to reach Lord Stark's office. All the while heading to the office, Eragon couldn't help but think about what Lord Stark wants to discuss with him. He just hoped that it wasn't anything unpleasant. As they reached Lord Stark's office, Lord Stark immediately walked in, followed by Eragon, who closed the door as Lord Stark walked around the desk, sitting in the chair behind it.

"Sit down Eragon. We have something to discuss." Eragon nodded as took the seat in front of desk, sitting in it as Lord Stark grasp his own hands together, placing his chin over them. After a few minutes, Lord Stark sighed.

"Eragon, I must be frank. A lot has happened this year that didn't expect to happen in any lifetime. You, Lady Arya and Saphira falling from the sky." He said as he raised a finger, followed quickly by another. "Finding out that You are Dragon Rider, Arya is an Elf, and that Dragons have returned to Realm of Westeros. Also the fact that you're from another world."  He then raised another finger. "A dragon hatched to my Eldest daughter who also became the first Dragon Rider of Westeros. Also, there is the face that she is now more like her Aunt than I expected because it."

He then raised his last finger. "Finally, there is proof by memory that White Walkers as slowly returning to the realm of Men. Couple with that of the announcement of Jon Arryn's death and the soon to be arrival of King Robert puts things into perspective." He closed his hands and lowered his head.

"Winter is Coming. Those have been the words of my House for centuries and now more than ever had I begin to understand those words. I just hope we are ready for when it does." Eragon nodded as he thought about recent and past events. He too understood that something big will happen soon. He doesn't know what it is, only that its only a matter of time when it does. He watched as Lord Stark looked up at Eragon.

Eragon, I have a plan. Well, more of idea of what to about our recent dilemma. However, it all will depend on the answer to my question." He looked at Eragon with stern and yet kind eyes. Eragon knew that at the moment, Lord Stark was about to drop a hammer.

"Eragon, what are your feelings towards my daughter Sansa?" Eragon froze at that. In that moment Eragon knew what he was thinking. Eragon looked at him as he thought about it. He grown used to being around her. He was her teacher. A friend and a brother in all of blood. But when he looked at her, truly looked at her, a feeling of warmness he never felt before crept his way into his heart. At that moment, he looked at her father. Not Lord Stark, but the  Father of someone truly cared for.

"She truly is an amazing person. She's kind, gentle and also a loving person. She's also a warrior. She fights for what she cares for most." He looked down as he smiled. "I've always thought that I would only be her teacher, but instead she became someone I care for. Like another sun to keep me warm in the world of darkness. It's a feeling I have never really experienced before."

Lord Stark nodded as held a little smirk. He then decided to drop the big question. "You love her, don't you?" Eragon looked at him with wide eyes again. He instantly knew that Lord Stark knew the answer before he did. He looked down as he smiled.

"I do. I really do. Besides Saphira, she's the only thing  besides my friends that I truly care about." Lord Stark then dropped another targeted question. "Would you be willing to give everything for her?" Eragon nodded. "I would die for her. Saphira wouldn't like that, but its the truth."

Eragon was so distracted by his thoughts that he didn't see or hear Lord Stark get up and walked around the desk and placed a hand on his shoulder. He looked up and saw that Lord Stark was smiling.

"Then you have my blessing. And because of your answer, I can proceed with my plan." Before Eragon could question him, Lord Stark walked to the door and opened it. He then spoke to the guard outside. "Send word to my daughter Sansa. I require her presence in my office at once." The guard bowed as he backed away and left to go find Lady Sansa. Lord Stark went back to his desk and sat down. "Now, we wait. I will explain further once she arrives."

Sansa swung her blade, once again meeting Arya's as they sparred. As she swung her blade in a diagonal swipe down, Arya saw the move and countered with a horizontal slash. The move caught Sansa blade and sent it left, leaving her exposed. An instance that Arya took advantage of as she then crouch and swept her leg forward, causing Sansa's legs to swept from under her causing her to fall. As she tried to get up to counter, she was met with a blade pointing at her face.

"It seems the spar is over." Arya took the blade away and helped Sansa up. Sansa had a look of annoyance on her face. "I can never seem to beat you." Arya nodded as she took both blades and sheathed them. "You're improving, but like Eragon before you, you hesitate between attacks. Still, against any other opponent, you would definitely hold your ground."

Sansa smiled as she heard that. "Well, hopefully one day I will be able to stand my ground against you and Eragon in a fight." Arya nodded as she place a hand on Sansa's shoulder. "One day you will."

She nodded as movement caught their attention. They turned and spotted a guard walking towards them. The guard stopped and bowed to them. "Lady Sansa, Lord Stark has requested your presence in his office. I'm to escort you there."

She nodded as she turned to Arya. "May we spar again later?" Arya nodded as she turned away. "Very well. I'll see you later." Sansa nodded as she and walked towards her father's study. Unbeknownst to her, Arya was slightly smiling as she spoke to herself. "No Sansa. I don't believe you will."

Sansa followed the guard until they reached her father's study. The guard opened the door and entered, Sansa following him inside. When she entered she immediately noted that Eragon was sitting in front of her father with his hands crossed as his head laid on top. The guard bowed before exiting the office.

When the guard closed the door, Sansa looker at her father. "You summoned me, Father?" He nodded. "Yes my daughter. We have much to discuss." He then looked at Eragon who stood and stepped in front of the fire. Lord Stark then returned his attention back towards Sansa. "But first, there something that you must talk about with Eragon first." He stood and walked around the desk and headed towards the door. Before he exited he looked at her. "I'll leave it to you, Eragon."

He then left the room, leaving the office to just Eragon and Sansa. Sansa stepped forward. "What is my Father talking about Eragon? Did something happened?" He continued to look at the fire. It only took a few seconds before he spoke.

"Yes. Something did happen." He then turned towards Sansa and approached her. "He questioned me about a few things. "Such as?" He looked to the side. "Mainly about my feelings to wards a certain someone."

Her eyes widen in realization. "You like someone?" Eragon scratched the back of his neck. "I do. I've liked this person for a while now. But I'm afraid that she doesn't like me back." He then turned back to the fire. "Sansa, this girl is beautiful, kind and such a fierce warrior. I...I don't just like her. I....love her."

Sansa couldn't help but let out a little squeal. The lady part of her always would go giddy when it came to love. She had hoped that one day that it would happen to her. Her eyes downcasted as she then realized that he must be talking about someone else. She hated to admit it, but she had feelings for him. She actually liked him. But now she feels as though she lost the chance to be with him.

"I'm happy for you." She said with a slight frown on her face. He nodded, not seeing the look on her face. "Like I said though, I don't know if she would share the same feelings as me."

She then shifted her facial expressions and looked at him with a fiercely stern expression on her face. "She would be a fool not to. You are a gentle and kind man. You are protective of those you care about and from what I've know about these past few months, any girl would stupid to turn you down."

He nodded as she looked down at her feet, a frown reappearing on her face. "So, who's the lucky girl? Lady Arya, or one of the servants?" He turned around and looked her face. His eyes widen as he saw the look of sadness on her face. Realization hit him like a landslide. 'She does have feelings for me. And she thinks I like someone else. Well, I know what I have to do."

With a firm nod, he approached her slowly. She didn't know he was in front of her until he was not even a foot from her. She looked at him with a confused look. "No. Its not Arya or any of the maids." She looked confused.

"Then wh-" she was stopped as he placed a hand under her chin and leaned forward. She gasped as their lips connected. She immediately melted at that. Her heart was going a thousand miles in hour. She never felt like this before. A few seconds later, they separated. She look at his eyes as spoke. "No Sansa. The one I'm in love with is you. I have been for a while now, but never noticed until now. I but will say this Sansa." He then wrapped his arms around her and gently embraced her. "If you accept me, I will be here for you always."

Her eyes began to water as emotions hit her hard. "I do accept them Eragon. You see, I've always liked you ever since you first appeared here in Winterfell. But back when I thought I was going to be lady first and foremost, I didn't see into it. But when turned from that path, I finally began to see. I enjoyed the days I learned from you, trained with you. You always helped me. That's when I realized that I liked you, that I had feelings for you. But like you, I didn't think you would like me. But now that I do, I don't have to hide anymore."

She then reached up and kissed him again. It was a soft Peck, but the feelings behind it were genuine. "I accept you Eragon. I accept you." They then embraced once again, both closing their eyes as they both felt their closeness.

Unbeknownst to them, the door to the study was slowly opening. Lord Stark peered inside and smiled as he saw his daughter in the arms of the man she loved. He decided that then was the best time to interrupt.  He let out a cough which did it's job. "Well, well. It seemed that my hunch was correct. I had a feeling that she liked you as well Eragon. I just had to see firsthand if I was right, and it seems I was right."

He then turned to Sansa. "Daughter, I knew for a while that you both liked each other, but didn't get involved. I wanted to see if you would be the one to choose. Sansa, I gave him my blessing because I knew that he was the best choice. He loved you for you, nothing else. I'm happy for you." He walked towards her and gave a gentle yet firm hug before separating. He then sat behind his desk and motioned towards the seats. "Now that I know it to be true. We can proceed with my plan. Now, sit. We have much to discuss."

And that's that. Chapter 1 of the Triple Relay is complete. The other two will be done soon. I'll be posting the three together. Anyways, I hoped you like this chapter. Until the next one. :)-Weeksjmj
