***Logan***

Virgil was asleep in the chair next to his bed. Logan smiled at his son. Then frowned and reached forward running his hand through Virgil's hair. Virgil flinched under his touch and woke up with a start.

"Sorry," Logan pulled his hand away. "I forgot." Virgil grabbed his dads hand.

"I'm fine dad."

"Are you really alright?" Logan sat up and Virgil sighed.

"I'm fine." He looked down. "Besides, at least I know you two will be alright. Update on Remus, he's got a few bruised ribs and a major concussion and a serious amount of blood was rushed to his brain for him being upside down so long but they said he'll recover quickly."

"Virg, you don't have to pretend to be okay. Please just tell me what's wrong?" Logan held Virgil's hand. Virgil pulled away and looked at the door.

"They weren't able to catch Linus or mark, so both of them are still out there..." Virgil looked down. "Which means either of them can do anything if we don't watch our backs."

"Are you staying with Remy and Emile?" Logan asked. Virgil nodded.

"Even then, you act as if I'm ever gonna leave the hospital other than for work! And hello stupid my boss let me stay here with you because he's my cousin and he can do that." Logan rolled his eyes.

"You need to let yourself go somewhere other than here Virgil, you need actual human interaction instead of just sitting around these beeping machines all day. It's not healthy. I'm fine, I'll heal. That's all that matters."

"Yeah but at any point those bastards can sneak in here and try and kidnap you!" Virgil leaned back in his chair. "I'm just scared."

"You are overly anxious and that's fine." Logan sighed. "I'll be alright, please go to work?" Virgil stood and hugged Logan.

"Fine, but you better text me every hour to update me." Logan laughed.

"You sound like me." Virgil waved bye and walked out of the room.

***Virgil***

Tears filled his eyes as he walked. He made it to the cafe and quickly texted Logan he arrived at work. When he entered it was a god damn mad house! He walked over and punched in, grabbing a smock and helping with orders. A few hours later it finally calmed down enough for Remy to turn and face him.

"What the hell are you doing here babes?" He asked. Virgil shrugged.

"Dad told me to come to work, he said I needed human interaction and besides...I couldn't stay there." Virgil finished cleaning and leaned against the counter as he started crying. "God Remy..."

"Virgil, babes, I gave you permission to miss work so you could take care of not only your dads but yourself." Remy sat Virgil down in a booth, the other worker taking over for a bit. "Your mental state is worrying both me and Emile..."

"I'm okay." Virgil pulled his arms to his chest.

"Virgil, don't bullshit me." Remy grabbed Virgil's hands. "It's okay to not be okay after everything's that's happened."

"HOLY SHIT!!" Remy looked up and over to the counter and he immediately looked at Virgil.

"Duck your head, and leave with the rest of the customers. GO!" Remy stood up and walked over to the counter. Virgil glanced over and his eyes widened. Holy shit.

"Hello Remy, it's too bad Virgil has the day off huh?" Remy glanced at the other worker and shook his head.

"Yeah, well if it keeps him away from you then I'm glad he fucking does."

"Come on." Virgil walked over and helped the rest of the crowd out. When they were out Virgil immediately called the police. He looked back at the building...just as a gunshot rang out around them. Virgil screamed.
