It was daytime, the birds were hovering in the sky and Avni was standing in her room and she yawned.

Avni: Bohat nend arahi hai.

Avni heard: To so jao thori dair.

Neil was lying on the bed and his phone was in his hand. Neil smiled. Avni made a sad face.

Avni: So gai to packing kaise karun gi. Training main to sirf shirts, trousers aur karti le kar gai thi ab to mujhe apni dresses, saree aur baki zarorat ki cheezain pack karni paren gi na. Ek kaam karti hun jadli se packing kar leti hun us ke bad thori dair aram kar lun gi. Time bohat kam bacha hai… han, yeh sahi hai.

Neil shook his head while smiling. Avni went to the cupboard and she opened it. Avni was surprised to see it because it was empty. Avni frowned and she opened another side and Neil’s clothes and some other things were kept there.

Avni: Neil, mere kapre kahan gaye?

Avni opened another side and she found Neil’s clothes hanging there.

Avni: Neil.

Avni turned her face and she was surprised to see Neil standing there holding a bag. Neil was smiling. Avni was confused.

Avni: Neil, yeh… bag.

Avni was surprised at first and then she smiled.

Neil was about to say but they heard: hum ne.

Avni smiled.

Shweta: Ab hum ne socha ke tum aao gi aur packing main lag jao gi to phir rest kab karo gi is liye hum ne tumhari packing kar li.

Avneil smiled. Avni went to Shweta and hugged from the side.

Shweta smiled and tapped Avni’s face.

Avni and Shweta looked at Neil and then they smiled to see each other.

Shweta smelt and Avni was confused and she smelt. Neil also smelt and frowned.

Shweta signed at Neil and Avni understood.

Neil understood and Avni and Shweta looked at Neil from the corner of their eyes. Neil made a face.

Neil looked at Shweta and sighed. Shweta made a sad face.

Avni hugged Shweta and smiled.

Shweta and Neil smiled. Shweta hugged Avni and then Avni moved away.

Avni: lekin achanak yeh sab planning aur aap log wahan rahen ge kahan?

Shweta was about to say but she heard Bebe calling her. They looked at the door and then they looked at each other.

Neil smiled and he thought.

Avni was surprised.

It was the time of the night, an airplane took off and soon it landed. Avneil was on the way. Avneil was in a separate car and they were sitting in the backseat. They saw the city and smiled to see it. They showed the buildings and things to each other. Soon, they reached home and a car stopped outside the bungalow. Avneil got down of the car and they looked at the bagalow. Avneil smiled to see each other. Another car reached there and they turned their faces and saw the car. The Khanna family reached there. Avneil smiled. They went inside and saw the bungalow.

Neil: Nice home.

Avni: Hmm.

Shweta: han, acha to hai lekin humare apne ghar se zyada nahi.

Avneil smiled and looked at each other.
They saw the home and chose the rooms. Avneil came to their room and they looked at the room. They looked at each other and smiled.

Later, Avneil were lying on the bed and their faces were on the other sides. They were awake. Avni was not sleepy because she was nervous and excited for the first day of her duty. Avni sighed and Neil heard her. Neil turned his face slightly and smiled and then he laid back.

Neil smiled and shook his head.

Avni: tum kyun jag rahe ho? Tumhe bhi nend nahi arahi kya?

Neil: Nend to arahi hai lekin shayad is room main koi hai jo shayad nervous aur excited hai kal ke liye.

Avni frowned.

Avni made a sad face and nodded and then she smiled.

They smiled.

Avni nodded and said, hmm.

Neil: Mere pass ek tarika hai jis se hum dono ko nend aa jaye gi.

Avni: Kya?

Avni smiled. Neil laid on his back and spread his arm. Avni was looking at Neil who signed her to come. Avni smiled and she moved to Neil. Avni smiled and then she adjusted her head. Avni thought and her eyes got heavy. Avni closed her eyes and soon she slept. Neil felt that and then he tried to see Avni. Neil smiled and he laid his head back. Neil smiled and he sighed.

Neil was standing behind Avni at a good distance and his hands were in his trousers’ pocket. Neil was looking at Avni who wore her cap. Avni saw Neil in the mirror and smiled. Avni turned to Neil who saluted her. Avni smiled and Neil came to Avni.

Avni: Kaisi lag rahi hun main?

Neil: bohat Sundar. Yeh uniform tum per bohat suit kar rahi hai.

Neil held Avni’s arms.

Avni smiled and nodded.

Neil smiled and looked down.

Neil: Avni, ab bus bhi karo. Rulao gi kya, pagli.

They smiled and Neil cupped Avni’s face.

Neil: Yeh din tumhari life main tumhari apni mehnat aur dedication ki waja se aya hai. Tumhare passion ki waja se aya hai. Maine to kuch bhi nahi kiya.

Avni: tumhare support ke bina yeh mumkin nahi tha.

Neil: ab hum to life partners hain agar hum ek dusre ko support nahi karen ge to kon kare ga. Hmm.

Avni smiled.

Neil: Chalo ab jaldi karo warna first day per hi late ho jaogi.

Avni smiled and removed her cap because she wanted Neil to wish her luck kissing her forehead like he always does. Neil smiled and he held Avni’s shoulder and kissed Avni’s forehead who closed her eyes and then they looked at each other.

Avni was standing in the living area with the Khanna family and she took blessings from them. Shweta fed Avni yogurt and then Avneil went from there.
Neil went to drop Avni because he wanted to be with her. Shweta sighed and she prayed for Avni.

Avneil was on the way to the police station. Neil saw the flower shop and he smiled. Neil thought something and he stopped the car. Avni looked at Neil.

Avni: Kya howa?

Neil: Ek minute, main abhi aya.

Avni looked on. Neil opened the seatbelt and he went. Avni was looking at Neil and then Avni’s eyes fell on the kids and they were going to school. Avni smiled to see a little girl. Avni was looking at them and then she looked for Neil. Avni looked here and there and the door of the car opened. Avni looked there and Neil got into the car. Avni saw the bouquet in Neil’s hands who smiled to see her. Neil passed the bouquet to Avni who happily accepted the roses.

Avni: Thank you.

Neil: My pleasure. Waise madam, aap kuch zyada thank you nahi bolne lagi.

Avni smiled.

Avni: Ab aap kaam hi thank you bolne wale karenge to thank you to bolna parega na.

Neil smiled.

Avni: Ab aap kuch gift den ge to us ke liye aap ko thank you na bolon to kya bolon.

Neil smiled and leaned to her. Avni flinched.

Neil: bata dun?

Avni was looking at them and she fumed.

Neil: ek kiss.

Avni looked on. Neil turned his face and he pointed at his cheek. Avni smiled and then she slapped Neil’s face playfully. Neil smiled and he looked at Avni who was looking at him.

Avni: Ab jaldi chalo. Mujhe late ho raha hai.

Neil smiled and nodded. Neil started the car and they moved to their destination. Avni thought something.

Avni in mind: Kahin Neil ko bura to nahi laga?

Avni looked at Neil who was driving the car and then Avni thought again.

Avni in mind: Bura to laga hi hoga. Tu har baar usay disappoint jo karti hai. Kya ho jata agar ek kiss de deti to… Kitne salon se woh tera intazar kar raha hai. Tere liye kya kuch nahi karta. Us ne khud ko badal diya hai sirf tere liye aur tu us ke liye us ki taraf ek kadam nahi barha sakti.

Avni nodded and she looked at the Neil who was looking at the road.

Avni smiled and Neil moved back. Avni put on her cap and she got down from the car. Avni moved to the Police station with her swag. The Police officers saw her and they saluted her. Avni nodded. Neil was looking at Avni and he felt proud of her. The police officers and other staff saluted Avni who nodded and went inside. Neil smiled and he started his car and turned it.

Avni came to the Police station and everyone greeted her. Avni stopped.

Avni: Where is my Cabin?

PO: this side, Ma’am.

Avni nodded and they moved to the cabin. Avni came to her Cabin and two officers were with her. Avni came to the table and stood near her chair.

Avni: I don’t need to introduce myself. You all must be aware of my arrival.

PO: Yes, Ma’am.

Avni: Good. So,  inspector Vijay Singh, mujhe is police station main kam karne wale her employee ki list with designation chahiye.

PO: ok, Ma’am.

Avni: You may go now.

Inspector saluted Avni and then he went. Avni looked at another inspector.

Avni: aur aap jitne bhi cases is police station main pending pare hain yaa currently file kiye gaye hain mujhe un sab ki detailed report chahiye woh bhi aaj ke aaj.

It was the time of the sunset, a police jeep stopped outside the mansion and Avni got down from it.

Constable: Ji, Madam.

Avni: ab aap jaiye.

The constable saluted Avni and he got into the car. The jeep went from there and Avni moved to the mansion. Avni came inside but no one was in the living area. Avni removed her cap and she moved forward. Avni was tired and she was going. Shweta was coming from the opposite direction. Avni smiled to see her.

Avni came to Shweta and hugged her. Shweta smiled.

Avni: Acha tha aur tiring bhi.

Shweta smiled.

They smiled.

Avni came into the room and looked around but Neil was not there. Avni frowned.

Avni: Yeh Neil kahan chala gaya?

Avni thought and she came to the table. Avni kept her cap on the table and then she went to the dressing table. Avni opened her hair and she massaged her neck while closing her eyes. Two hands held Avni’s neck and Avni instantly opened her eyes and she saw Neil. Neil saw Avni in the mirror and massaged her neck. Avni took a deep breath.

Avni: Neil, tum ne to mujhe dara hi diya tha.

Neil smiled.

Neil: ek police officer ho kar dar rahi ho.

Avni made a face and Neil smiled. Neil massaged Avni’s neck who closed her eyes and smiled.

Neil: tired?

Avni: very much.

Neil: how was the first day?

Avni: it was good.

Neil smiled. Neil hugged Avni from behind.

Neil: I missed so much.

Avni smiled.

Neil: Tum ne to mujhe bilkul bhi miss nahi kiya hoga.

Avni looked at the mirror and saw Neil. Avni smiled.

Avni: Nahi, time hi kahan mila.

Neil made a sad pout and Avni smiled. Avni touched Neil’s face and they were seeing each other into the mirror.

Avni: Tum to mere dil, meri sanson main base ho. Koi sans lena bhul sakta hai.

Neil smiled.

Neil: Aaray wah, meri wifey to romantic batain karna bhi sikh gai hai. Not bad.

Avni smiled and yawned. Neil smiled.

Avni smiled.

Avni: Main fresh ho jaun. Us ke bad aram se bethte hain.

Neil smiled and left Avni who turned to Neil and smiled. Avni went to the cupboard. Neil smiled.

Neil: OK, but dihan rakhna kahin bathroom main hi naa so jao.

Avni looked at Neil and made a face.

Neil smiled. Avni smiled and shook her head. Avni went to get fresh. Neil sighed and smiled.

It was the time of the night, Neil was lying on the bed in Fowler’s position. Avni came to the bed and sat on it. Avni also got in the blanket. Avni remembered something and smiled. Neil saw Avni who smiled.

Neil: Kya howa?

Avni looked at Neil and smiled.

Avni: training ke din yaad agaye.

Neil smiled.

Avni: Humain bhi to batao.

Avni smiled and she turned to Neil. Avni told Neil about her training days. They smiled and Neil also got surprised. Avni held Neil’s hand and then she held Neil’s hand in between her both hands.

Avni: Pata hai, Neil, jab bhi koi task karte mere kadam larkharate the tab mujhe tumhare words yaad aate the aur meri himmat do ghuni ho jati thi.

Neil smiled. Neil cupped Avni’s face.

Neil: I am glad to know ke tum mujhe apni himmat smajhti ho.

Avni: smajhti nahi hun,Neil, tum meri himmat ho. Tum meri taqat ho. Tumhare bina main kuch bhi nahi hun.

Neil smiled.

Neil: Main bhi tumhare bina kuch nahi hun. Avni aur Neil ek dusre ke bina adhura hain aur ek dusre ke sath pure hain.

Avni smiled and they hugged each other.

It was the morning time, the sun rises and the people started their day. In the Khanna mansion, Avneil was sleeping on the bed. Avni’s sleep got disturbed and she stirred. Avni opened her narrowed eyes and cleaned them. Avni’s eyes fell on Neil who was sleeping peacefully beside her. Avni smiled to see Neil and she leaned to him and lay with the support of her arm. Avni smiled to see Neil.

Avni: Tum sote howe kitne cute lagte ho.

Avni smiled and caressed Neil’s hair. Avni thought something and then she leaned to Neil. Avni kissed Neil’s forehead. Avni looked at Neil and then she hesitated but she sighed. Avni kissed Neil’s cheek and then she blushed. Neil opened his eyes and saw Avni blushing. Neil smiled. Avni felt Neil’s gaze and she looked at Neil who shut his eyes instantly. Avni frowned and she was looking at Neil. Neil turned to Avni and hugged her waist. Avni was surprised and she looked at her waist. Neil looked at Avni and Avni looked at him but Neil closed his eyes. Avni looked at Neil suspiciously and saw his lashes moving. Avni understood that Neil was awake. Avni nodded and she thought something. Avni hesitated and she pressed her lower lip with her teeth.

Avni in mind: Avni, Neil is your husband. Pari ne kya kaha tha ke it is normal between husband and wife. In fact, husbands ko acha lagta hai jab un ki wives romantic hoti hain. Unhe ase cute surprises deti hain. Tu bhi to Neil ko khush dekhna chahti hai na to phir tu ghabhra kyun rahi hai. Just do it. He is your husband, stupid.

Avni thought and she nodded. Neil’s eyes were closed and he thought.

Avni looked at Neil and she was feeling shy but she sighed. Avni smiled to see Neil and she leaned to Neil’s ear. Neil felt that and he got nervous. Neil gulped.

Avni caressed Neil’s ear with her lips. Neil shivered and Avni felt that. Avni smiled but she controlled and Neil clenched the duvet. Avni saw that and smiled and then she looked at Neil who was sweating. Avni nodded and she again did the same.

Avni whispered to Neil’s ear:  I love you.

Neil shivered and he couldn’t resist anymore. Avni blushed. Neil opened his eyes and Avni looked at him. Neil was shocked because he didn’t expect that. Neil looked at Avni who was smiling and blushing. Neil removed the duvet instantly. Neil held Avni’s arms and he turned her. Neil hovered over Avni.

Avni was shocked and her hair was on her face. Avni looked at Neil who was looking at her. A soft smile was on Neil’s face and there was a desire in his eyes. Neil took away the hairs carefully and looked at Avni.

Neil: What did you say?

Avni was panting. Neil leaned to Avni who got worried. Neil looked at her lips.
Neil asked while looking at Avni: say, Love, what did you say?

Avni gulped and Neil looked at Avni’s neck. Neil got attracted to Avni. Avni awoke the sleeping Lion. Neil looked at Avni.

Neil: say, Avni.

Avni’s gaze was low and she looked at Neil. Avni looked into Neil’s eyes.

Avni whispered: I love you.

Neil felt a shiver in his body and he was looking at Avni. Neil kissed Avni’s forehead and then they looked at each other.

Neil: I love you too, Avni. I love you too.

Avni smiled. Neil kissed Avni’s cheeks and who closed her eyes then Neil kissed the tip of Avni’s nose. They smiled. Neil pressed his nose to Avni’s nose and touched his forehead to Avni’s forehead. They smiled. Neil sighed.

Neil: How long have I been waiting for this moment…

They smiled and then Neil looked at Avni who cupped his face.

Avni: Bohat intazar karwaya na maine tumhe?

Neil nodded like a child while pressing her lips and then Neil smiled and shook his head. Avni smiled to see Neil.

Avni: I am sorry.

Neil shook his head.

Neil: Don’t be. Tum ne kuch nahi kiya. You were right at your place.
