START YOUR STORY WITH A SENTENCE THAT IS GENUINELY HAPPY AND UPBEAT. NO DOUBLE MEANINGS. END IT WITH THE SAME SENTENCE BUT THIS TIME IT'S CHILLING, DARK, HORRIFYING ETC.

"Welcome to our world, sweetie." Mom cooed at me and Dad smiled at the younger, new born me.

I was the princess of their house and life. Being the single child and that too born after a long period of time after their marriage.

I was a single child and so, equally spoiled yet I was kind. I wanted what I wanted but I cared for others too.

For example, let's take the first day if my kindergarten. I got my teachers fired because they didn't have me the red sketch pen I asked for but actually I did it   because they scolded a poor boy for just being in that kindergarten.

This reason only Mom and Dad knew and that poor boy as well. He is my best friend now, his name is Noah. He's cute and not at all poor now, he has two houses and just had bought another one just next to mine.

Well, people do change a lot. I changed and got even more kinder, not joking or bluffing around. I really got more kinder.

Okay, so another example for explaining that I'm a spoiled kid. In early grades, I wanted the same pencils for me and Noah and the pencils were to be studded with real diamonds because Noah was poor and I knew he wouldn't take money if I offered him. What? I was a kid then.

And another example, during last year of high school, I beated a bully enough to get him two months of bed rest because he said he hated my best friend. And he was a big bully, wasn't that reason enough?

Let's get back to the present. I am gonna graduate tomorrow and then I'll be free for one year as Mom and Dad allowed me to go on a Vacation wherever I want. But being a single child comes with loads of conditions. So the condition for my trip was taking Noah with me. And what's better than a trip with your best friend?

I was getting ready for a date, more likely a friendly one, with Noah. I bent down to tie my shoelaces when I heard knocking.

I yelled 'coming' but the knocking didn't stop instead it got louder everytime. I got a bit worried because Noah never acted like this.

Still stuck in the confusion, I sat there half bent, hands rested on my shoe when the door broke and a man fell through it taking the wooden door down with him.

It all happened in slow motion, the man falling with a gun in his hand and blood coming out from his left side of chest. Noah standing outside of the room, with another gun in his hand.

"Noah? You? This man? Guns? You? Shot? Him? He's dead? As in really dead? Movies type of dead? Mean he'll not wake up? Is that real blood? He's dead? Noah? Oh I got it! It's all a prank! Ha ha ha, funny prank Noah. You're learning. I like it." I was babbling to myself as Noah checked the bathroom and the windows.

"Look the matter is serious, so stop laughing and listen carefully. These men are mafia and I and your parents are mafia too. The man I killed is our rival, yeah, yours too. You'll be passed on this gang soon." He said and took me down stairs with me all the while I processed the information he gave me.

Maybe this is the reason why I never knew what my parents did for all these years. All I knew was that we were rich and people were afraid of us.

As we reached down, we saw more dead bodies lying and Mom and Dad were fighting to some. After all of them were dead, my parents walked to us.

"I hope Noah told you everything." Dad said with a smile as Noah nodded.

"Welcome to our world, sweetie." Mom cooed as Dad smiled at me.
