"Things need to change in Lobelia- and I'm not just saying that as one of the people who have suffered from the system the most. The division between the poor and the rich is becoming bigger every day- I've been both, and know how staggering the disparities are.

It's the taxes that have poisoned the people and the system. What happens when there's no more middle class? Then no more lower-class? There'll be no one holding up the high-class, and everything will collapse. It'll be a rude awakening for loyal supporters of the King to realize they are, in fact, touchable, and can fall a lot further than those beneath them. That's what happened to my family. It isn't impossible.

There are so many people starving on the streets, and no one there to help them. In a better future, not even a perfect one, there would be more of a wealth distribution to all people. Take more tax money from those who can afford to give it. Create a stronger middle class, bring people off the streets. Lobelian citizens helping Lobelian citizens instead of using them as stepping-stools.

As for a King that doesn't have the interests of his people behind every decision? He shouldn't be in charge, he shouldn't have power over the people he cares little for. I'll never understand how a man who was given so much is still greedy for more. In the future, I would see someone who understands responsibility and accountability to be the leader of the people, who looks to the voices of everyone- not just those in a similar situation to themselves- before making a decision. A council made up of different voices, of every social class, so that we are all looked after. Well, that may be more of a utopia than anything possible in real life, but still, a girl can dream.

The children of this kingdom have been ignored for far too long. Nothing in life is worse than watching a child starve, and the kingdom has failed every single one that has. I can do nothing for them, but I know the King's own coffers are overflowing, and he very much can. They are the future of Lobelia, so I would want there to be a focus on taking care of the kingdom's children, feeding them, making sure they have someone to take care of them, and educating them. My siblings and I never had that, Lobelia failed us- but it isn't too late for others.

So what kind of future would I want? One in which my siblings, and everyone else's siblings, can grow up healthy, happy, and without the worries they're born with today. Where a social status doesn't mean a death sentence. One where the kingdom looks after us instead of leaving us behind."
