She got ready the next day after taking a shower and dressed casual with jean shorts, sandals, a fedora and a frilly tank top. She stepped out and stood still for a moment, then took in deep breaths, before deciding to open another portal. She decided to open the portal underground, so no one can see her. Claire was the type to be very cautious of nosy neighbours. She searched up the nearest abandoned underground station and headed there.

Claire's footsteps echoed. Dirty and slimy water sloshed at her feet. The tunnel looked a little dark. There was enough light for her to see. She got far enough and made sure she wasn't followed. Claire opened a portal, her mind still spinning. She gasped. She tried to stop shaking in fear. Cold wind blew through the place. Claire shook her head and stepped through.

The air shocked her heart and she choked, then gulped air. There was an endless mile of withered and poisoned land that was hard as rock. Trees were close to melted and the sky was a sick green and gray. There were barely any signs of life in the place. She trudged throughout the place and came across a swampy river. It was dark and disgusting slimy creatures, with resemblance to worms and aliens popped up. Claire shivered, regretting coming there.
