We had left Belch behind; we decided that they would be fine without us. Apricot and Shard had reacted like opposites when told Cliff about the party and had headed off whispering excitedly.

~Flashback~

'OH. MY. GOSH. REALLY!? AND YOU CHOSE ME? AW. THANKS! WOW! I CANT BELIEV-'

'Oh... really? Are you sure he picked me? I mean...'

See the difference? Cliff and I were now in our dorms trying, in panic, to find something that looked nice. Well, I was panicking. He was trying.

'Hey, Time. I have these?' Cliff held out a pair of gold Earring's that I instantly declined. NO WAY was I wearing earing's! NOT NOW NOT EVER! I shook my head fiercely.

'Sorry Cliff. Do you have any...' I cut off as Cliff held out four silver bracelets, each with a small amber gemstone embedded within.

'Those are perfect! Thanks Cliff, your a life saver.' I said, slipping them onto my wrists and back legs. I couldn't get one over my leg cast so I unraveled it slowly, sliding the bracelet onto my broken leg gently.

I glanced at Cliff, blinking rapidly. He looked... amazing. His scales were shiny and smooth, reflecting light beautifully. He had taken off his golden chainmail, replacing it with a necklace with a small, dragon charm placed at the bottom. On one of his horns he had replaced the silver horn ring with a band matching the silver on his necklace. He grinned at me, his white teeth shining. I blinked again.

'You look nice too.' He said, walking up to me and tapping me on the snout. I shook my head, clearing him from my vision.

'You look better.' I replied, gathering a bag that I had stuffed all my important DONT LEAVE BEHIND OR ELSE stuff into. I picked up the earrings that had been discarded to the floor.

'Hey, Cliff. Mind if I keep these?' I asked smoothly.

'Er- sure. They are my sisters... she has lots though. Keep it.' The prince replied, he too had a satchel around his waist and he tightened it so it wouldn't fall off.

'And you should see your reflection, then you can say who looks better.' He finished, beginning to walk out the dorm. I was tempted to turn around and look but instead I followed him out, the earrings tingling in the pouch around my neck. I touched it subconsciously, thinking about what on earth I was going to do when I got there. The nerve of what we were doing finally got to me and I took a deep breath. We would be fine. It was just a party, nothing 'bad' would happen. I worried too much! It was time to relax.
