Bunnymund's P.O.V

The next day Jack was practicing trying to figure out his fighting style in this new form. So far it seemed like karate however he would add his own thing every so often. The kid was actually quite skilled with minimal help and has definitely improved during the last two years. If you were to tell me he would come into his guardian role naturally I would of laughed but, now I see I was way to hasty on my actions during the Easter that pitch nearly ruined.

Jack had kept his word even after how we treated him. While Jack ran around the Warren like a little kit curious about the surroundings in my mind I felt me and the other four needed to apologize for our actions instead of trying to give the kid gifts and material items to try to keep it under the bridge. We were adults while Jack is trapped as a teenager for eternity. It was only right we owned up to our mistakes just like Jack has several times over.

After a while Jack finally slowed down to take a break and as expected was a bit hungry. As he rested I made us a veggie and fruit tray to help for now. It was made up of celery, tomatoes, strawberries, cucumber and broccoli. As I returned with the food however I saw that Jack had fallen asleep and was curled up with one of his arms over his face.

I didn't want to wake him but, he needed some food in his system after that run. I had gently placed a paw on his shoulder and he was instantly awake though jumpy as he had his staff in hand in a defensive position. I was stunned by how quick he was however I decided I had to put the tray down slowly and then had my paws up showing I wasn't armed. Soon enough Jack calmed down before putting his staff down and then apologized and explained he was still fearful of being attacked despite knowing he was safe.

After making sure he had calmed down enough I tried offering the food tray and surprisingly Jack went for the broccoli instead of the other foods. I honestly saw him as a tomato fan from the few times I had caught him grabbing a small handful of tomatos in the past and seemed to enjoy them very lightly cooked. As we ate I had reassured Jack I would protect him with everything I could and that seemed to cheer him up. Maybe with time and the help of mother nature and the others we can help Jack get passed this fear of being attacked so he can have some semblance of peace about his everyday life.
