It felt endless as Wysteria continued to fall through the pit of darkness. Her mind was boggled into unsettling and endless wrath. She really couldn't keep yelling at herself, considering the voice was her—so she resolved into being indifferent because she chose to listen in the first place.

She certainly had other opportunities but given the circumstances and who her pursuers were, she was not going to complain. When she was deep within her thoughts, her defenselessness had been taken into account as she hardly had time to take in the sudden change surrounding her.

A metropolitan filled her vision and her fear grew as she realized that she was falling from the sky. Unlike falling in the darkness, it was nothing compared to actually seeing where she was falling.

She was good as a becoming flat pancake at the rate she was falling.

"Well, if you look closer, you'll see that you are lucky enough to be falling straight for a lake"

Wysteria couldn't respond considering that the realization had not dawned to her the moment her body came into impact with the said lake. She still screamed, regardless of not falling to her death. When her body submerged into the water, she quickly acted before she allowed herself to be in a state of shock.

The last she needed was to end up with water in her lungs and troubling herself with another obstacle that put her in a tight situation. She already had more than she could handle and drowning was definitely not something she was going to be the end of her.

As her head resurfaced, she let out a gasp and took heed of swimming out of the dark murky water. Again, another thought of possible being attacked by whatever could be prowling within it, she acted upon instinct.

"Huh, so this time you know how to swim"

Wysteria grumbled as she made her way over to the edge of the lake. She would have been snarky and responded, but she hardly had any energy to banter.

"Silent treatment, huh? Well, I can't blame you; you used a lot of power to go through the portal. The only issue now is that we might have bigger problems lying ahead of us"

"And what exactly more do we have to deal with?!"

"Well, for starters, it would seem that we might end up in two outcomes"

"Please tell me death is not one of them"

A silence befell Wysteria as she trudged slowly out of the lake drenched. As she wrung her shirt from the water, her skin started to crawl feeling power from above. She turned up as her eyes widened seeing the sky practically rip open and reveal the witches.

"Are you serious?!"

"Death might not be so bad, huh?"

Wysteria's jaw tightened at the words as she dug her nails into her palms. Something within her just told her that it was not going to be easy to escape. She was in for it for a long run and this was just barely the beginning of her endless suffering.
